How do I cancel data plan if I no longer have iPad?

I brought my iPad2 into the Apple store because it wasn't charging or even recognizing any charger.  I could no longer power it on. They decided to give me a replacement.  I never wrote down the phone number associated with the data plan from my original iPad and now I have no way of accessing that account.  I called Verizon, but without the phone number, they were unable to help me.  Will that account somehow be automatically deactivated with the old iPad, or is there anyway I can get into that account to cancel it?

I can understand how this can be a troubling situation. The best way to get your information would be to review the original paper work that you received when you bought the iPad. If that information is not available I would suggest visiting the closest Verizon Wireless store near you. Make sure that you bring proper photo identification and they will be able to verify and assist you. I am certain that this will resolve your issue.
