How do I cancel printer job queue? CanonBJC-250 will not function because of long queue. cannot find control.
Apparently the print order was pressed several times. Now there is a long list of print orders and the printer will not work.
This is more of a Ubuntu-related question than a Firefox one. When print jobs are queued up, you should get a printer icon in the notification area (beside your clock by default). Clicking on the printer should allow you options to cancel the print jobs. Give it a try -- I can't guarantee if it works as I haven't got any printers installed in my Ubuntu.

I am trying to burn some cds from my playlist on itunes, but my playlist shows many of my songs in light print and says that it will not burn because it is not a file, these are all songs I have purchased quite a while ago, how do i get them to files?
If they were songs you purchased from itunes, try redownloading them from your purchases...
if that doednt work, make sure the optuon to copy files to itunes media folder is checked in settings, then find and download from the net. and re-add them to your library -
Only certain files the print job just stops and will not print in Adobe Acrobat X. All other applications work fine.
Have you tried downloading and installing Adobe Acrobat XI? http://www.adobe.com/products/reader.html

UNABLE TO CANCEL PRINT JOB THAT KEEPS PRINTING SAME COPIES
How do you cancel print job on a HP Deskjet D1520 with Windows Vista?
THANKS!Since this printer does not have a physical "Cancel" button, the easiest way of stopping a document print is to clear the document from the Print Queue.
To remove a document from the print queue manually:
1. Depending upon your operating system, do one of the following:
• Windows Vista: On the Windows taskbar, click Start, click Control Panel, and
then click Printers.
• Windows XP: On the Windows taskbar, click Start, click Control Panel, and
then click Printers and Faxes.
• Windows 2000: On the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to Settings, and
then click Printers.
2. Double-click the icon for your product to open the print queue.
3. On the Printer menu, highlight the document, click Cancel or Purge Print Document,
and then click Yes to confirm.
Now, if the document has already started printing and you want to stop it before it finishes; then simply lift the top access door which will pause printing. Remove the document from the print queue now. If it is no longer in the print queue, then power off the printer. Wait about 30 seconds and power on the printer again. This should have stopped the document from printing.

Delete "Cancel Print Job" pop up
5.23.11
Every time my HP Officejet Pro L7780 starts printing,
a pop up screen appears in the lower right hand corner
of my monitor: "Cancel Print Job". How do I prevent this
popup from displaying?
Dell 690, WinXP-Pro
Sincerely,
RalphgoldHi @TJBar, and welcome to the HP Forums!
I see you're looking into how to cancel your print jobs. I would like to assist.
When printing, on the front panel of your printer you will see a large red 'X'. This will allow you to cancel any print jobs by touching the X.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

HP Photosmart Plus cancels print job itself mid-run
Hi,
I have an HP Photosmart Plus which I connect wirelessly to my laptop which runs Vista (x64). Recently, when I try and print off my work (written on screenwriting software Final Draft 8), the printer cancels the job unprompted half way or three quarters of the way through. In the print job status box, it will say "error - cancelling" but with no further details. There are no blinking lights on the printer. The printer seems to think it has received a "cancel" command.
The same problem does not occur when I print through the usb connection so the problem seems to concern the wireless connection. The laptop, router and printer are all in the same room so strength of signal is not the issue.
I would be very grateful for any thoughts on how to solve this problem.
ThanksYes, I'm in the same boat and actually, I'm pretty pissed about it. I had a print going, but the printer ran out of paper. I was looking for paper, and got side tracked, and when I came back in (We're talking 5 minutes) the printer started doing a bunch of stuff, and I noticed it said "print cancelled" What the hell HP.. That's BS.. There should be a way to disable that, and allow it to stay 12 hours if I want it to. People get busy, and can't always be there when prints go. Often I print from other rooms, and don't even go to get my prints for hours, so how would I know it's out of paper? I do not run the print software on my computers, just the drivers.

How to comand de print job to initiate from diferent positions?
Hy folks,
I have a problem about how to print labels, more specifically how to comand the print job to initiate from diferent positions of the continuous forms paper.
See what I meen:
I have a label continuous forms paper with 2 colunns x 3 lines, six positions, to print from de right to the left and them downward, ok?!
I need to know a way to start the print from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th (or even from 2nd ou 3rd line). Only by this way, the print would respect the layout and the line break between pages. The manual set of this positon at the printer is not acceptable to my client.
See, I'm just starting to use Crystal and its tools, so I don´t know even it is possible to do, but I've heard that is possible!
Can you help me with this issue?
Thaks for the attention

Can not cancel print job hp officejet 8500 in windows 8
I can not cancel print job for a HP officejet 8500 in windows 8
This question was solved.
View Solution.Hi,
From the Desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R. Into the Run window, type services.msc and hit enter. Browse down to the print spooler service, right click it and select Properties then click on the Stop button. Now browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS and delete the job inside this folder - You may need to click a prompt to gain the appropriate authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find the document(s) have been removed.

Linux client can't cancel print jobs in print monitor
CUPS print server on Mac OS X server 10.4
CentOS 4.4 linux client
- Mac OS X server and CentOS linux client on different authentication sources
The CentOS 4.4 linux client is configured for CUPS printing and pointed to the Mac OS X server CUPS print service.
The linux client can successfully print to available printers servered by the Mac OS X server.
The linux client has a print monitor. Normal user on linux client cannot cancel print jobs thru this print monitor. Selection of print job and pressing the 'cancel' button do not effect a cancel. Admin user on Mac OS X print server can cancel the job from the print server.
Is authorization required for a client to cancel a CUPS print job on the client?
Is same authentication setup required for both client and server?
Thanks,

How can I delete printed job list Delete jobs grayed
How can I delete printed job list Delete jobs grayed
Apple lets you see a list of what is printed out but there is no way to erase the list and mine is two years of all that printed out. I want to erase it but there is no place to get rid of the list or the items on it. Epson said it was an Apple problem. Apple doesn't seem to know the answer. You can only delete jobs when it is not grayed out and it is usually for those you have not printed . I am hoping someone can figure it out.
