how do I center my slide in the window in keynote?
I know I can fit to window, but can I have the slide smaller than my window and centered?
It stays in the upper left hand corner.

You don't say, but I'll assume you mean that this occurs when Keynote is in "edit" mode. The positioning of the slide boundaries snug to the upper left is fixed in Keynote and can't be changed.
Many have looked for ways to add new objects, images, etc., coming from above and/or from the left off-slide. This can be done with some creative steps.
The simplest solution to this is to attach (group) an "invisible" handle to the object and use the handle to move the object out of sight to the left or above. Create an object such as a narrow rectangle, assign it NO FILL, NO LINE and while it is selected, Shift-Click on the object you wish to hide and then Arrange > Group. Now you have an invisible handle that you can use to hide your object off-slide.

Can I suggest that a screen grab using the selection tool in 'Grab' might work, and importing that image into your library might suffice.

How do I center and/or maximize the front panel on every event?

So basically I have a little issue with trying to maximize and then scale back a VI's front panel every time a user selects a different option from a ring control.
So far i've been using the LVWINUTIL.LLB and the provided window size vi to set the size I want on ring selection change which works fine, but as far as centering the VI goes, the method I'm calling only works the first time. After it maximizes and I select a different option on my ring control which is linked to a case within a while loop it simply resizes to the size i set which is correct but when I got back to the ring case which is supposed to maximize the front panel again, it doesn't do it. Centralizing the FP also only works once.
I'm using FP.Run-Time Position.Centered to try and center the VI....only works once. I do understand that this might be the desired behavior since the name is run-time position meaning it'll only do this when the VI is first run, however I need this to happen more then once, how can i do this? Thanks...

How can I pause a slide until the user clicks a button?

I wish to pause a slide until the user clicks a button (which I've created out of a Smartshape). The thing is that I haven't added a click box object over the smartshape but have only set the smartshape properties to "Use as Button". If I were to add a clickbox object, I would get a "Pause project until user clicks" in the options section of the properties. However in using a smartshape as a button, I cannot find this option. I am using Captivate 6. Seems strange as I would have expected to see the same checkbox option even if I were to use a smartshape as a button but I dont. Can't someone help me and let me know if I'm missing something.
Of course I could use a clickbox over my smartshape to achieve what I want, but I want to avoid thsi for two reason:
I want to avoid adding another object when I dont need it.
My smartshape is a right arrow (indicating "Begin"), and I dont want a squarish click box sitting on top of a triangle because that just shows the hand pointer even if the cursor isn't exactly over the arrow button because it enter the clickbox area.

Select the Smart Shape button , go to Properties > Timing accordion > Pause After and set the number of seconds from the beginning of the slide for it to pause.

How do I import a clip when the window automatically closes?

I was unable to even open After Effects CC when I upgraded to OS Mavericks. Once I realized adobe released a patch for it (the 12.0.1 "trial" update), the program opened. I thought all was fine, until I attempted to import a new video clip. It would not let me even move the clip, let alone edit it, before giving me a "grouping" error, and then abruptly crashing. Today Adobe released the 12.1 update, which seems to be running ok, except the window for importing footage automatically closes once opened. I can no longer just drag a new clip in to my composition either. How can I get by this?

How do i start a program with the window maximized

How can I get my picture into the window to fit correctly?

I'm somewhat of a novice, so please bear with me. I am editing a sequence together that has footage from multiple camera sources. Some of the footage is at 24.00 fps, some at 29.97, some at 23.976.
When I'm looking at the window to see my footage, some of the footage fits completely in the window, and the other half is getting chopped off, so I can only see 1/3 of the image. I divided my footage in half into two different sequences, and the footage looks great, nothing getting chopped off. But, as soon as I combine all of the footage into one sequence, something is getting chopped off.
What is happening? Both of my sequences are set to 23.96. So, theoretically, they should look the same in either sequence, correct?
I just want all of my footage to fit correctly into one sequence so I can see the entire picture of each clip.

I would suggest you work out which footage is the "smaller dimension". (pixel x pixel resolution)
Create a Sequence that matches that
What may help is to click the NEW ITEM link on page #5 of The PPro/Encore tutorial list http://forums.adobe.com/message/2276578
...and copy and paste the other footage into using the Scale to Frame size option.
