How do I center the whole slide in navigator view?

New to iwork 08...how do I center the whole slide in navigator view (large pane)? The top and left edges do not show. Probably a simple answer but cannot find out how.

See benvu's comment above. I found this thread looking for a solution to the exact same problem. Say you want to animate an object such that it appears from off-slide and ends up in a pre-defined place. You do it by using an 'action build' on the object, of type 'move'. But because the slide itself is always jammed into the upper left-hand corner of the canvas, it's extremely awkward placing the initial position off-slide to the left or top. You can do it by first placing it and animating it fully on the canvas, then move it off the canvas - but you can never grab it back afterward to reposition it.
For those of us who love Keynote because it allows us to create cinematic presentations that are more artful communication than bog-standard bullet points spinning in from space (+à la+ PowerPoint), this sort of technique is invaluable and oft-needed.
I, too, have posted a 'feature' request (or rather, a 'bug report').

Go to iCal > Preferences General. If I remember correctly there should be a "Show XX hours at a time" option there. There certainly is in version 6.0.

How can I fade the first slide in a slideshow in from black?

Novice user here, but I can't seem to find an answer to this question. I've created a couple of slideshow, and have imported them to iDVD to burn the DVDs. When I play the show in iPhoto, they're fine. But when I play a finished DVD (or the demo of the DVD in iDVD), the first slide does not fade in like iPhoto did. It's a really jarring start. I fiddled with Ken Burns effects, but all that seems to do it effect how the slide ends, not how it starts.
How can I start the DVD slide show at black and fade the first slide in, just like iPhoto automatically did?
BTW ... haven't upgrade to the new iLife software yet if that helps.

if it were me, I think the simplest thing to do is take a photo with the lens cover on the camera, basically a black pic. Now use this one at the beginning of your DVD/Slide Show... or even between slides for a little more drama, if you wanted...

What you see is what is available.
Turning the iPhone into landscape mode with Month, Day, or List view selected provides the closest thing to seeing an entire week.

After selecting File > Print, a pop-up window should appear. Select "Customize" and this should take you back into a panel within iPhoto. Towards the bottom, you should see an option for "Layout". Select this option and choose the correct photo orientation.

You can't get the whole document to appear on your side.
When you send it, the entire document will be sent. Normally, clicking on it will open it in preview where you can see all pages. If you want to see it in this way, just cc: or bcc: yourself on the email when you send it.

Get an app that reads PDF's, such as iBooks or GoodReader or Readdle Docs, then use the file transfer part of iTUnes to get those files to your iPad, through iTunes. Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music then you will need to contact iTunes Support - try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

Premier After Effects... How does one places the whole movie clip into AF?

After years of using Premiere, I’m looking at using After Effects. Premiere does most of what I need (I don’t need moving graphics and titles) but the masking and rotoscoping seems to be better in After Effects. I’ve started a great video by Tom Green at school. Since there is no control for center you'll need to do the math on your own. This is just a rough draft, but you'll get the idea.
One of the things you'll need to figure out is your buffer to help you give a centered feel. We'll say that value is 50 in this case.
