Using the Windows Interface
Right-click My Computer and click Manage.
Click Disk Management.
Right-click the GPT disk you want to change into an MBR disk, and then click Convert to MBR disk.

At a command prompt, type: diskpart, and then press ENTER.
At the diskpart prompt, type: list disk, and then press ENTER.
Record the disk number of the disk that you want to convert to an MBR disk.
At the diskpart prompt, type: select disk n, and then press ENTER.
At the diskpart prompt, type: convert mbr, and then press ENTER.

You can change it in Settings > Sounds > Ringer and Alerts (or with the buttons on the side of the phone if you have "Change with Buttons" turned on in that same section of Settings > Sounds).
Note that this change is not specific to the Alarm -- it will change the volume of incoming calls and other alerts as well as the alarm.
I have found it works better for me to set the sound at the volume I want it to be for incoming calls and then to find an Alarm sound that works best with that volume level. Without changing the volume, some Alarm sounds seem louder or quieter (or at least more or less irritating). You select the sound when setting the alarm and the sound selected will then be the default on future alarms. -
I cannot install creative cloud on my macs main volume which is a case-sensitive volume. I have a second volume that is not case sensitive. How can I get the installer to use that volume?
YOu can't. The CC app itself will always install on the system volume. short of reformatting your volume there is no way to resolve this.

How do you change the track volume so that it moves with your project?
I understand you can change track volume for a given track (by hitting the down arrow and fade it up and down). BUT then if you move that track - the track volume stays where it is so your volumes then get all messed up - any solutions?

How do you change the startup volume when you turn on your mac?
Is there a control panel to change the chimes sound in system preferences or something? I'm not wanting to mute it completely but make it a little quieter. Resetting the PRAM only brings it to max volume. Thanks guys!

Check, if you have a volume automation set on the software instrument track.
If the track volume automation curve is enabled, the volume slider for the track will move with the automation curve.
Click the automation curves disclosure triangle in the track header and disable the volume automation. -

I have my iPhone 4s plugged into a dock and the dock connected to an amplifier with 2 speakers and a bass, the problem is that the amplifier doesn't have a volume changer and when i plug in the iPhone into the dock the iPhone´s volume bar disappears and im not allowed to change the volume and its very loud. how can i change the volume? is there an app? any ideas??(my dock doesnt have infrared remote controller )

Apple does not repair devices beyond replacing the screen on some models or a battery replacement. They replace the ENTIRE device.
For the Out of Warranty replacement cost, you could have gotten a fully functional replacement device. Instead you chose to spend less to get only the screen replaced and continue to live with additional issues.
Apple will not touch the device now. They will know that it was opened elsewhere and that the replacement screen is not original. -

I've never been aware of a function like this in the past. You could create a personal ringtone that would last 30 seconds or less and set the volume on that ringtone to do that with an audio editor, such as Audacity.

That is probably because you have one or more bookmarks with a long title.<br />
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name.<br />
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.<br />

Have you ever even used skype on an iphone or ipod? We tried it and there is no way to type to each other while you are video chatting. You can do the typing during the video on a COMPUTER, but not on an iphone or ipod.

how do I change volume on start up chime? For some reason the volume is very low, almost inaudible. I have external speakers.
The usual setting is based on the last-used Volume in:
System Preferences > Sound
in the running system. Often, just setting the System Volume high enough will mean the chime is at a similar Volume.
The problem is that now sounds and speakers are under software control, and muting at Startup and what Volume sounds should be played through what ouputs at Startup has become more complex. -

There are a few different ways to do that. One is to select all audio clips in the Timeline, then go to Modify->Levels. Enter the amount by which you want to change the levels (+ or -) and hit enter. The default setting is Relative to the present gain level of each clip. For example, if one clip was set at 5db and the next clip was set to -2db and you entered a value of 6db, the new level for the first clip would be 11db and the second clip would be 4db.
You can also set an Absolute value. The value you that you enter will become the gain setting for all clips. Using the above example, setting an Absolute value of 6db, the new gain level for both the first and second clip would be set to 6db.

The first thing to do with a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. You — not the previous owner — must do that. How you do it depends on the model, and on whether you already own another Mac. If you're not sure of the model, enter the serial number on this page. Then find the model on this page to see what OS version was originally installed.
1. You don't own another Mac.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) installation disc from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. Preferably, install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the installation media that came with it: gray installation discs, or a USB flash drive for some MacBook Air models. For early MBA models, you may need a USB optical drive or Remote Disc. You should have received the media from the previous owner, but if you didn't, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc or a flash drive, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, you don't need media. It should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
2. You do own another Mac.
If you already own another Mac that was upgraded in the App Store to the version of OS X that you want to install, and if the new Mac is compatible with it, then you can install it. Use Recovery Disk Assistant to create a bootable USB device and boot the new Mac from it by holding down the C key at the startup chime. Alternatively, if you have a Time Machine backup of OS X 10.7.3 or later on an external hard drive (not a Time Capsule or other network device), you can boot from that by holding down the option key and selecting it from the row of icons that appears. Note that if your other Mac was never upgraded in the App Store, you can't use this method.
Once booted in Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. You will need the Apple ID and password that you used to upgrade. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
Then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. To upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, get it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
3. Other issues
If you see a lock screen when trying to boot from installation media or in Recovery mode, then a firmware password was set by the previous owner, or the machine was remotely locked via iCloud. You'll either have to contact the owner or take the machine to an Apple Store or another authorized service provider to be unlocked. You may be asked for proof of ownership.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Mac App Store Customer Service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.
If the previous owner didn't deauthorize the computer in the iTunes Store under his Apple ID, you wont be able to authorize it immediately under your ID. In that case, you'll either have to wait up to 90 days or contact iTunes Support.
When trying to create a new iCloud account, you might get a failure message: "Account limit reached." Apple imposes a limit of three iCloud account setups per device. Erasing the device does not reset the limit. You can still use an account that was created on another device, but you won't be able to create a new one. Contact iCloud Support for more information.
