How do I change a video type?

I have many videos on my computer that are indows Media Player, but how do I change them so I can upload them onto iTunes?

I've never used it. I stay as far away from Windows as I can
I checked their website, and there seems to be some conversion guides posted there.

Hello, Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Right-click your video in iTunes and select "Get Info" from the pop-up menu. Then click on the "Options" tab, and change the type under "Video Kind:"
The video type cannnot be changed on TV Shows or movies purchased from iTunes. It can be changed on a Video Podcast though.

I mistakenly changed the video type to iTunes U

I was intending to classify it as a TV Show. Now I cannot see it on my Itunes U library therefore I cannot change the video type to the originally intended TV Show. I know the file exists by using Finder and browsing all the way down to Itunes U folder, but I can't edit the information (actually the "get Info" box in Finder is completely different from the "get Info" box in Itunes).
How can I make this files show up in Itunes U so that I can change the video type once again? Is there a way I can change the video type form outside Itunes?

Does it show up if you create a smart playlist with the rule Name is <Name>, or a similar constuction using the details you can recall? If so then you will be able to reset the Media Kind.

How i can change mi video in a MediaView

i try to change my video with

but when i see the "VM Telemetry" it does'nt kill the previus thread and when i have more than 3 hours changing the same 6 videos then i have a error becouse i dont have more memory how i can change my video without creating a new MediaPlayer object or kill the previous MediaPlayer treads?
please help me :(

Hi,
You can change valuation class, or you can set valuation category for your material master. If valuation category is set you can extend your material master and in this way creating records for different valuation types.
Please try to set the desired changes in your mmr (MM02) > save > SAP will give you error message > push 'Display error' button and you will see what conditions must be eliminated to carry out the change.
- you are not allowed to have open transactional data
- no stock in the current and previous period (using proper posting date in MB1A + 201 you can reduce your stock level to 0, and after that you can set it back by MB1A + 202)
- in case of valuation category setting batch archiving may be necessary

For indivial material you can change it from MM02 . ( Select Insp.setup under Quality Management view) and again choose for Create new Inspection Type

You will have to configure that with your router. Type your router's IP address in the search/domain bar and allow port forwarding.
What is requiring you to have an open NAT? That issue is usually for gaming consoles, etc.

Newbie stuck - how do I change the file type of a photo I am formatting from a TIFF to a JPG?

I am new to Aperture and struggling to figure out some of the basics, even with the tutorials. I need to submit a photo for an art competition - the master is a TIFF and I need a JPG under 1.8 MB - how do I change the new version's file type and keep it with the master?

I can't recommend the method proposed by Carolyn Samit; in fact, I recommend ignoring it.
Aperture is large, complex, and can take some time to learn to use. It is also quite powerful, and can handle nearly all -- or all -- common tasks you throw at it.
I have written a very short guide to Aperture which was intended to provide some firm footing for those getting started. I humbly suggest that you start with a quick review.
One of the things that presents a bit of disorientation for new users is that, in practice, Aperture keeps your pictures in a kind of limbo. There are good reasons for this -- suffice it for now to accept that you import image-format digital files into Aperture, you use Aperture to organize and optimize these as Images, and then when need a file to use outside of Aperture, you export you Image. It is at export that you format your Image: you select the file type, the compression amount, the file name, the file size, and more.
In your case, then, you will export your Version, and set the file type to TIFF (recommended above JGP whenever quality is paramount). There is no way to know the file size in bytes prior to creating it. Start with a full-size TIFF and, if necessary, knock it down by percentage until the exported file is less than 1.8 MB.
There is no reason to attempt to keep this file with the Image in Aperture. Send it on its way. Any time you need another file from your Image, you can create it fresh via "File→Export→Version".

How do you change network location type on Server 2012?

Within Network & Sharing Center there appears to be no options available to change a network type as you could do in Server 2012?
Within Network List Manager policies everything is set to "not configured" so this should not be disabling any functionality.

Firstly, if the server is domain joined, when it starts to detect the network location, the machine will contact a DC via port 389. If this detection successful, it will get the domain profile. And we cannot change it.
However, if the server is not domain joined, the domain was not found or process failed, NLA will let you to determine which firewall profile will be used, private or public.

All the above articles can apply to Windows Server 2012.

How do i change the media type on a digital booklet when they option bar is greyed out?

I downloaded an album a couple days ago which came with a digital booklet. I am trying to put it on my phone but need to change the media type to book to be able to do this. whenever I go to the get info tab, the options tab is completely greyed out and wont let me do anything to it. I have tried selecting read only on the file and it did not work. I have windows 8. If there's is any different way of getting this on my phone, anything would be great!

The item must not be read only if you want to change it.
In the new Get Info dialog the Media Kind is in a light grey. Next to that will be the word Music. Hover over it and you should see that it is part of a drop down list control, click and select Book.

How can we change the message type?

Hello all
We use SRM server 5.5 with classic scenario.
When we create shopping cart, we implemented the Change Badi to assign the purchasing group from R/3 material master.
We implemented the following logic.
If material master in R/3 has no purch. Group, SRM also has no purch. Group. So SRM display the error message You should select the purch. group to determine the purchasing group in basic view.
But, We have the standard error message, when we choose the material code this material code has no purch. Group in R/3 No purchasing groups were found.
Message number is BBP_ATTR050.
Because of this message, we can not progress the process to create shopping cart.
Can we change the message type from Error to Warning Message?
Or, Can we delete this message?

Yes. You are right.
When user choose the material code, there is no purch. group in 1st Step, but
we want to choose the purch. group in 2nd Step on basic view.
But we have the error message at 1st step. so we can not progress to 2nd Step.
If we use dummy purch. group, user could make the human mistake.
So our customer want to remove purch. group and choose the purchasing group by user.
But i'm not sure if we remove this error message, we got solve this problem..
Pls give me an idea..

How do you change multiple 'Video Kind' values at once?

first of all, sorry if this has already been asked, but I tried searching for a straight answer in here and in other forums without any luck..
.. but I was wondering if there is a way to select multiple videos, and change their video kind to something else, all at once(eg. from Movie to Music Video)...
...When I select a group of videos and click get info, it doesn't give me the option to change the video kind, so I've had to change each one, one at a time, (which gets very tiresome :P)...
...so is there a way to change multiple 'Video Kind' values at once, or should I pray that it becomes available in the next update of iTunes?

You can't do it right now. Wait for the next update, and hope it's there.
For the moment, I suggest selecting Get Info on one song, changing the setting, then hitting the next button at the bottom to go right to the Get Info for the next song. You can rapidly change lots of these that way.
