How do I change album information on songs I'm trying to import?

I accidentally applied online album info to a cd I'm trying to import. They are songs my cousin is singing so no online info applies. I tried removing the cd and closing iTunes then re-opening but the album info remains so I haven't imported the songs yet. I'm feeling very frustrated! TIA for any help.

Highlight the track(s), right-click, Get Info. Go to the Info tab and type in the correct info.

I have iTunes 9.0 (70) and I have my songs chosen in order by artist. I forgot how to change the order of songs.
I tried switching the songs categorized by the name of the song. That didn't work.
Please let me know how to drag and drop a song correctly. I just want to move one song by the same artist to a different spot in the queue.

I used to be able to do that left column thing, but it won't work.
First of all, there are no numbers in that left column (not sure that matters or why that is). There's just an arrow at the top facing to the left with blank spaces beneath it.
When I click on the left column, all that shows up is the cover art for the albums, and the list is changed the order of each full album. I still can't drop and move.
Sorry I don't know how to attach a screen shot of this. Hope I described it okay.
I'm wondering if there's a drop down menu item that needs to be changed or something.

No. That's not what I said. You can get an out of warranty replacement, which will be exactly the same model, color, and will be locked in exactly the same way the original is. If you want an iPhone 5, get the 4S replaced, sell it, and use the money to put toward a new phone.

I'm using an iMac with OSX 10.6.8. The proceedure on your system is probably similar.
Get the Facetime window up, and go to Facetime preferences. Click on "account," you'll see a view account option that will prompt you to sign in with your Apple id and password. From there you can make the changes that you want.

Manual update - how do I add album art to songs that are already in ipod?

I recently changed to manual update as the auto update started to take a ridiculously long time to even recognize my 60gb.
I wanted to add album art to an album that was already in my ipod. I updated the songs in itunes, and then dragged them to the ipod when it was listed in itunes.
Itunes said "updating songs" - and I ended up with two copies of each song.
I deleted the duplicates from the ipod, but surely there must be an easier way.
So how does one properly update information on existing songs with manual update?

The easiest way to do this kind of thing probably would be to either make the alterations (album artwork, lyrics, etc.) on your iPod's songs themselves, not the iTunes library songs. (Click on the little arrow to the left of your iPod's name in the Source List of iTunes, so show/hide. Click on the "Music" library under your iPod to see it's songs displayed in iTunes.)
When you've gotten in the "Music" library, under your iPod's name in iTunes, you can select the songs here that you want to change, and click on "Get Info".
Or, you could do this:
1 - Make the changes to the iTunes Library songs.
2 - Go to your iPod's Music area in iTunes.
3 - Delete the current songs off your iPod that will be replaced with the "modified" version of the track (that has additional or altered info on it.)
4 - Now, go back to the iTunes Library. Select those new changed songs, and drag them to your iPod.

How can I change "get info" on songs purchased through the Cloud?

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion, I have been unable to change any album info on songs that were purchased through the Cloud. this wasn't always the case. As we know, iTunes sometimes places songs/albums, etc., in the wrong category or genre. I'm simply trying to place it in the proper or desired catetory or place all songs on one album after iTunes split the album. But, when I right click on GET INFO, all of my options to make any changes are GREYED out and I can't select anything. Only the Summary window and the album artwork window are accessible.
After doing some research I determined that it is indeed only those songs that have the CLOUD icon beside them. I truly don't understand the CLOUD and how it works enough to even know what I did to change it...or how to change it back! And before the upgrade, that cloud icon didn't exist. Thoughts? ideas? Hope this all makes sense.

I presume you mean songs purchased from iTunes Store.
It would appear that you have not downloaded the tracks to your computer. Once you have downloaded the tracks you will be able to change info.

Coverflow changes album on current song depeding on phone orientation

For example I'm playing something from the album "In Rainbows" By Radiohead, well if I move the iPhone into landscape mode the album art changes to something crazy like Jimi Hendrix's "Are You Experienced?" album even though the song has not changed.
So to simplify.
Portait mode = Correct album art for song that is play
Rotate to Landscape = Random album art. Playback is not affected.

I don't know if your iPhone confuses some data of the song with his album artwork, and inherits the error from your iTunes, which is more odd, ha ha!
Try that restore and should be fixed.
There are a quantity of bugs that the 2.0 has, and I hope that the 2.1 update will fix them. I have very little ones with a couple of apps, nothing to worry about... But this one is Very Strange. This disturbs you, but to Radiohead disturbs to be related with Hendrix...? They shouldn't, ha!

Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, it has been reported that the email can take a while to arrive. Use the link in the email and reset your security questions.

I Have an iPad 2, using iOS 8.1.2. i can't seem to change the order of songs in my Playlists in the Music App. I've clicked on Edit, and tried moving the 3 lines on the right up/down, but when I press Done, the changes have not been affected. Can anyone advise, please? I'm sure I'm missing something!

It sounds like you are doing it correctly. That method works for me in iOS 8.1.2
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iDevice?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

Once you have created a rescue address, you cannot delete it, nor can you change it to the same address as used by your ID. There are numerous providers you can get additional email addresses from, such as Hotmail, Yahoo, Google etc etc.
