How do I change my music bit rate to accomodate more music on my ipod

Alders,
You don't have to change the songs in your library.  Just use the option to Convert higher bit rate songs to sync to the iPod.
With the iPod selected, you can choose this option, as shown below.  To save the most space, choose 128.
Note that the first time you use this option, the sync will be very slow, as iTunes needs to convert so many files.  On succeeding syncs, it will be faster, since only new or changed files will be shrunk.
Also note that this option puts the smaller files onto the iPod but leaves the library copies unchanged.

  • How do I change the bit rate for dls?? How times can I download one song??

I'm new to iTunes. I already downloaded 3 songs when I realized that the default bit rate is 128Kbps. I tried changing the bit rate to 192Kbps with a (Variable Bit Rate) checked.....unfortunately when I downloaded the next 2 songs the bit rate turned out to be the same.
Do I have to restart Windows or iTunes before downloading again?
And now that I have 5 songs with a lower br than I wanted... in order for me to have(download) the song at the higher bit rate...Is it possible to download one song more than once?
    Thanx.

You have no choice as to bit rate when purchasing from the iTunes Music Store. The official bit rate of all tracks there is 128 kbps (a very few have been reported to be at higher rates, but that's not a choice you can make, it's how the track was encoded by the record company). The setting in the iTunes Importing preference is for tracks you import from CDs only and has no effect on iTMS purchases.
Is it possible to download one song more than once?
No. Except in extraordinary circumstances, the iTMS allows only one download per purchase.

  • How do you change Audio Bit Rate?

Hello.  I need to export Mpeg Layer 2 audio with 8 bit sample rate.  I can't find any place to change it down from 16.
    Help!
    Thanks, Chris

No worries.  I checked it out.  The file I output has to be Mpeg Layer 2 audio (plus it has video attached, It's an Mpeg video file with Mpeg Layer 2 audio).
I only saw .aiff, .mp3, .wav and .mov as export options from Audition... but I could make them 8 bit.   I know 8 bit is becoming obsolete, but I wish there was the option within Premiere.

  • How can I reduce the bit rate of songs in my Music Library to enable me to

At the moment i can only fit about 1300 songs on my iphone and also have used up half the space on my 120gb Classic with 7000 songs which is a lot less than what i was told would fit on. so............
How can I reduce the bit rate of songs in my Music Library to enable me to fit more songs onto my iPhone or iPod Classic.. and what is the minimum rate that i should stick to in order to retain good sound quality.

    For existing tracks, see:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
For CDs you import in the future, change the Import settings in the iTunes -> General preferences.
As to what will be a good bit rate, that's going to be up to you and what quality you find acceptable, but many people find that 128 kbps AAC is the optimum balance between small file size and quality.

Adobe Premiere Pro exports my videos with a variable frame rate. Because of this long videos are asynchronous. How can i change the frame rate mode? So Adobe Premie Pro exports my videos with a CONSTANT frame rate? The original video  has a constant frame rate...

Sorry my mistakes. I am from Germany.. so...I mean with asynchronous that the video file and the sound file are displaced. In the beginning of the Video it's normal, but if the videos is very long it goes VERY "asynchronous"

When you download music, it comes in the format that the store supplies it.
WAV is a common format for the DJ market, as it is the best as input for pro audio editing.  Stores that cater to this market, and from which you can buy music in WAV format, include beatport.com and Juno Download
Both of them also offer MP3/320 as an option, so make sure to select WAV.

  • HT1535 How do i convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC

I am trying to sync selected songs to my Iphone 5 from my itunes library. I have recently taken my computer to be fixed and all of my music documents were taken off but the files were replaced shorty after. I re-downloaded itunes and it is up to date. My iphone is also on the ios 7.0.4. Whenever i plug my phone in to be synced it never goes past the "waiting for changes to be applied" step. While my phone was still connected i went to the "On this iphone" tab and clicked the autofill button and a message came up that said i must convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps ACC to allow the songs to be copied to my iphone. How do i do this? Also, once this is done will it solve my problem with transfeering my songs from my library to my iphone?

  • How do I change the bit-ra

All my?music is at bit-rate 92kbps (MP3 Format) but I'd like to lower it so I can fit more music on my Creative Zen. I think it's possible to do in Creative MediaSource but I can't work out how!? Can anyone help? Thanks!

Your device should synch with Windows media player, (assuming you have version ). When the device is plugged in, click on the synch tab and your device should be showing in the right hand panel.
Click on the arrow underneath the Synch option and hover over your device name, then click "advanced". On the second tab you can click to change the quality to a lower bit-rate.
You can just drag and drop the tracks you want into the right hand panel and synch it then.
Hope that helps you.Message Edited by abbafan972 on 07-07-2007:4 AM

  • How can I change the scroll rate of a control

I need the control to scroll at a faster rate than what Labview provides.
How can I change this to make the control (with up/down arrows) scroll faster without holding the shift key down and while maintianing the same increment step size.

If you really want to go above and beyond what LabVIEW gives you, you'll probably have to program it yourself. The best way to implement custom functionality for your controls is by using Event Structures. You could, for instance, hide the regular Increment/Decrement arrows for your control and replace them with custom controls that look the same. Then register for Mouse Down events and increment the control value as fast as you want in that event case. The only difficulty comes in when you need to have multiple such controls, or if you want to package them from one app to another.
If you want a completely self-contained function that does it all and doesn't require specific block diagram implementation, you probably want XControls. XControls allow you not only to change a control's appearance but also its functionality. The end result would be a reusable control that would look and behave however you want, but wouldn't require any block diagram code from the target application. XControls, I would warn you, can be a bit advanced. Your first is the hardest. After that it sinks in
XControls are available for LabVIEW 8 Professional Development System and higher.

  • How do I reduce the bit rate for existing songs

Some of the songs are too large. How can I reduce the file size of selected songs? Thanks.

    Hi,
You can do it by converting your file either with a lower bit rate or using an another compression algorithm. Be aware taugh that by doing so, you will loss audio quality. The best way is to restart, if possible, from your original files with your new importing settings.
To change your importing settings, go in the iTunes preferences, in the Advanced tab and then in the Importing tab and set the compressing algortihm and bit rate. AAC encoder is the algorith that will gives you the better compressing ratio.
Then, you you can either chose to reimport from your original CD (iTunes will ask you to replace the previously imported files) or select from the advanced menu the converting selection.

  • How do I reduce the bit rate when listening to iTunes preview of songs ? It is eating up my bandwidth

I like to listen to music previews on my iphone before I decide to buy. But this is eating up my bandwidth. Even the previews are at 256 kbps. This is 4 times higher than Amazon which is 64 kbps. Is there any way to set my access to a lower bit rate, or adjust it to mono or anything ? The bandwidth cost is killing me. Thanks in advance.

    For existing tracks, see:

  • How do I adjust audio bit rate in MPEG-2 Program Stream?

I don't see any way to adjust the audio bit rate in the MPEG-2 Program Stream setting in Compressor 3.5.3.  I need a specific bit rate of 224 KBps within an MPEG 1 Layer 2.
    Thank you.

AFIAK, there is no way within the preset adjustments to change the audio – either in 3.5 or 4.0
Try this for a work-around. Choose the MPG-1 setting, open Inspector and disable Video. Adjust the audio rate to 224 in the Audio tab. Submit and you should get an audio stream. In a separate job choose the MPEG-2 settings. Open the Inspector>Encoder Tab>Extras and deselect multiplex. Submit and Compressor should spit out an MPEG-2 video stream. You should be able to multiplex them in Mpeg Streamclip. (The files need  to have the exact same name prior to their respective extensions.)
    Good luck.

  • How do you know the bit rate of a video clip?

I have video clips from my video camera recorded in MPEG 2, PAL standard definition 720x576. 2 questions:
    1. How can I find out what bit rate the video is recorded at?
    2. Knowing this, can I in PProCS4 encode this for DVD without any transcoding (assuming, of course, no effects or fades etc have been added)?
I like to keep the coding the same, to avoid the quality loss of transcoding to a different bit rate.
I use 256 kb/s audio in MPEG 1 layer 2 (pretty much standard DVD format).
    Any info appreciated.

In Ulead Mediastudio Pro, you can see the data rate of the video, and also in DVD Movie Factory select "do not convert..." etc, where un-edited clips are not transcoded, to give maximum picture quality. I dropped MSP, as Corel (having taken over Ulead) has, sadly' dropped the product, so I bought PProCS4 hoping it would be at least as capable. Alas. Having said that, in most respects PPro is as good or better than MSP, and runs fine on Vista and Win7 beta (which I am using now), so I am still happy I get PPro.
