How do I change my Mail photo id tag that shows up in other mac users mail?

I looked around for what I thought was the obvious places like system preferences in Mail and accounts. I do not have a login setting to my mac since I'm the only one using it so I have no log in photo. The pic that is up is of me when I first got my mac and I'd like to update it. Where can I edit that outgoing photo of me which is ugly that shows up in emails I send to mac users?! Thanks, Matt

Mail isn't sending the photo. The Address Book photos are put on incoming mail that matches a user in the Address Book. You need to retouch your photo in the other users' Address Books.
It is possible other users could be getting your picture from a server. From Address Book's Help:
"A picture can appear in a contact’s card even though you haven’t added a picture yourself. If a picture whose filename matches the contact’s email address and whose file extension is .tiff (such as [email protected]) is located on your computer in a folder named Library/Images/People, or is located on a computer or server you’re connected to in a /Library/Images/People folder, the picture will automatically appear in Address Book, Mail, iChat and other applications where the contact’s email address is used."

How do you change the color of the scheduled appointments in calendar? All of mine seem to show up in red when they are actually in blue on my computer.

Many others are experiencing this problem as well.. I personally have eleven different calender in iCal with assigned colors, all of which are different colors on my iPhone iCal.
It seems that as of now there is no fix for this bug and that we'll just have to wait for Apple to recognize the issue.

I've bought this laptop from a reliable source, went to the Apple Store (Regent St) with the box and they registered it in my name, address and so on. No problems, the mac works fine.
However, the Home/Icon and administrator is in the name of the old owner. Obviously, he gave me the password. But, I really want to have my name on it.
I've the box, the discs and all the books. Everything is in really good conditions.
I read the manuals, the instructions are straight forward but on the net and forum related mac, I can see that are lots of people having problems when they reboot and are unable to login and so on...
The genius bar at the Apple Store is okay, but the staff main objective is to sell and they are not very patient and neither have much time for you. Normally I end up leaving the store with software that I don't have a clue how to use and the problem unsolved. And it stresses me out.
Can someone help me please.

Just other Users here like you, trying to help other users. For a real Apple answer I think you have to call AppleCare, but rarely an Apple Host pops in... wouldn't expect it in this case though.

in iPhoto you can change the cover art of an album or journal (but apparently not of a shared photo stream?!).
But how do I change the cover photo of a shared photo stream I created in the iOS 6 Photos app? It seems to be the first photo in that stream but I want to use another photo as the cover / key photo of that shared stream. Is it possible at all?

Which iPhoto are you referring to? iPhoto on your mobile device or iPhoto on your Mac? If on your Mac you'll need to change the date of the photos in the Event via the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option:
This will change the date of all selected photos in the Event and thus change the date range of the Event.
Or you can use the Photos ➙ Adjust Date & Time menu option and change just one or two photos which can also change the date range of the Event.

I'm afraid I might accidentially overlook messages the way they are handled now.

Somebody here will correct me if I'm wrong, but what you have to do is go into Settings, Mail/Contacts/Calendars and under Mail, turn off "Organize by Thread". I think that will make each message show individually.

To change your iCloud ID or password you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with your other ID. If you need to migrate any of your daughter's iCloud data to your account, choose Keep on My iPad when prompted, then choose Merge to upload it to the new account. You say you have the pse 5 disk?
I guess you do't have a dvd drive on your new windows 8 computer?
Do you have access to another computer with a dvd drive?
Anyway if you can find another computer with a dvd drive you could copy the pse 5 install disc to removable device like a camera card or flash drive.
You can also buy cheap usb dvd drives.
