This is my dilemma....I cannot purchase new apps or anything because I don't have enough storage.....so I tried to upgrade my icloud account and it keeps telling me to enter my password....the problem is....it's showing my old email acct that is no longer in use for a few years now.....and no password can be remembered.i do have a new emIl account for yahoo and I tunes and my Apple ID are all the same now...except for my icloud account. I tried to delete but it will not let me unless I have the password to that old account. Help!!!

This feature has been introduced to make stolen phones useless to those that have stolen them.
However it can also arise when the user has changed their Apple ID details with Apple and not made the same changes to their iCloud account/Find My Phone on their device before upgrading to iOS 7.
The only solution is to change your Apple ID back to its previous state with Apple at My Apple ID, verify the changes, enter the password as requested on your device and then turn off "find my phone".
You should then change your Apple ID back to its current state, verify it once again, delete the iCloud account from your device and then log back in using your current Apple ID. Finally, turn "find my phone" back on once again.

I started using Photos with iCloud a couple days ago, and have my library stored successfully in iCloud. However, now I'm migrating to a new MacBook (via Time Machine), and the sharing is screwed up. Specifically, when I go into Photos Sharing, it does not any of my shared items, and if I toggle around the iCloud enablement settings, I get a warning that there isn't enough space on my drive to store the originals: essentially, Photos is recognizing this is a different computer and thinks it needs to pull *down* the iCloud copies. But really, I want this new computer to become the owner of the iCloud copies. Does that make sense?
I'm hoping I don't need to wipe out my iCloud stored photos and start over from the new Mac.

To change the iCloud account on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone. When you delete the account you will be given the option to either keep or delete the iCloud data from your phone. This also, only deletes the account and the iCloud data from your phone, not from iCloud. Your husband's phone won't be effected by this. Then, to create a separate account, sign back in with a different Apple ID (you can continue to share the same ID for iTunes).
If you have any photo stream photos that you want to keep on the phone, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account.
If you're sharing the same ID for iMessage and FaceTime you'll end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls. To prevent this, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your new iCloud ID. Then do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.

You would have to change it back to your old email address in order to turn off "Find My iPhone" on your devices. After you changed it back to your old address and deactivated "Find My iPhone" (activation lock) you could change your Apple ID to your new address again. Now it should wok on all your devices.

When you talk about an old ID I think of an Apple ID, like you have a movie purchased with an outdated Apple ID (email).
If an email (Apple ID) goes out of date you can generally rename it to your new email provided it isn't already in use.

Make sure you are signed into iMessage and FaceTime with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless using iCloud Photo Library). When finished goThen go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). You can't change the main email address belonging to your iCloud account, if that's what you're trying to do. You would have to create an entirely new iCloud account from scratch.
Or are you trying to create an 'email alias'. You can have up to three of these - they are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the sam inbox as your main address. Please see:
