Just click the events name, and while it is highlighted, just type in a new name.

in iPhoto you can change the cover art of an album or journal (but apparently not of a shared photo stream?!).
But how do I change the cover photo of a shared photo stream I created in the iOS 6 Photos app? It seems to be the first photo in that stream but I want to use another photo as the cover / key photo of that shared stream. Is it possible at all?

Which iPhoto are you referring to? iPhoto on your mobile device or iPhoto on your Mac? If on your Mac you'll need to change the date of the photos in the Event via the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option:
This will change the date of all selected photos in the Event and thus change the date range of the Event.
Or you can use the Photos ➙ Adjust Date & Time menu option and change just one or two photos which can also change the date range of the Event.

How do you changed the color of events on ICal? I was able to do this when I utilized ICal on the Snow Leopard system but can no longer do this with Lion.
I know that I can select the Calanders list, but when I create a new "Calander" it doesn't allow me to choose a color and it doesn't show up in my list when working within an event.

If you wish to change your profile photo, follow the instructions listed below:
Hover your mouse over 'More' in the top Nav bar and select Photos.
To use one of your previously uploaded photos as your profile photo, place the cursor over the photo you wish to use, and click the small green “#1” box when it appears
If you wish to use a new image as your profile photo, upload the image to your photo gallery, and then click the small green “#1” box on the photo
If you are viewing one of your photos individually, you can also set it as your profile photo by hovering over it and clicking the same green "#1" button. You may also edit the caption and comment on your photo in this view
You can also change your profile photo by doing the following:
On the Navigation bar click Profile and select the Edit Profile link to the left of your Profile picture.

HELP! I was fooling around with my profile pic and selected and saved a cropped thumbnail. I hate it, and I haven't been able to figure out how to return my thumbnail to just a mini-version of my full profile pic. I've even re-up-loaded a copy of the original photo, with a different file name, but Tagged automatically crops it to the same thumbnail. Jon, Thanks for responding. I have only the "free" cloud uploads allowed on Revel, so they were uploaded automatically some time ago. When I first looked at them, they appeared to be a total disaster and I decided not to look again, and was happy to keep my images on my computer in Elements 9. But looking yesterday (someone had contacted me about images of my art), I found things looked better. The only problem is the sequencing of the images, and from what I read on a Community thread is that I have to change either the dates or the events. Well, today I saw how to change the dates on Adobe (only did it with one photo as a test), but that ____ so far___ has not changed the sequence in Revel. So, I will close and re-boot my computer to see if that makes a difference, and get righy back to you. Thanks again for responding!

Father's macbook now mine. How can I change name, admin, etc without losing apps and programs?

My father bought a Macbook Pro 15' retina 8Gb ram 256Gb SSD about 2 months ago.
He set it up, bought many apps and programs but eventually got bored of it and gave it to me.
He is not a Mac enthusiast and thought he should give it a try but he didn't stick to it.
I'm not a Mac enthusiast either, but a good notebook is an ok present so I took it.
I installed some programs and stuff, tried to learn how it works (I have no idea, I was always using windows), and I think I like it.
However, the MacBook has my father's name, my father is the admin, and all the apps programs etc the he and I bought and installed are in his account.
I have his password though. That's how I've been using it the whole time.
How can I change the MacBook to make it "my own"?
I have an apple ID cause I have an iPhone etc but I'm sure just changing that under the admin page won't be enough.
Will I lose the apps my father bought?
Will I have to reinstall all the programs that I installed while I was using the MacBook? For example will photoshop and capture nx be deleted as if I was formatting a pc and I will have to install them again?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
PS. MacBook is now running Mavericks OS X 10.9.4 and I want to upgrade.
But first I want to make myself the "owner" to start getting things in the right order.
