How do I change page margins on pdf file on acrobat?

Hi there
Could someone please help me. I need to change the page margins on a pdf file using adobe acrobat.  The page size is 7" by 10" which I have been able to change.  I need to change the page margins to:
Left - .75"
Right - .25"
Top - .25"
Bottom - .25"
I know it is probably something really simple but I just can't figure it out.
Thank you for your help
Kate

Not simple at all. Actually, Acrobat isn't built to do this type of thing. You would want to make those changes in the original document and create a new PDF.
The main problem here is that Acrobat will not reflow the text as the margins grow.

how can i change the size of PDF files? when i convert documents in the acrobat browser it seems the files become larger then normal pdf files, this is, i compare with other files that people send to me and i realise that they are smaller than my converted files, even if they have more pages.

A lot depends on the form of the PDF. Is it graphics, a scan of a text file, pure text, or other? What version of Acrobat are you working with.
You can do a save as to get a WORD file, but do not expect great results. The ability to get a decent WORD file depends on what the form of PDF you are working from. If it was created from WORD with tags and all, you might get good results. If not, you might get a lot of messed up results.
Explain what you are starting with and your ultimate goal. Also check the audit of the file (should be under PDF Optimize) to see where the file information is concentrated (text, fonts, graphics, other).

I would try Acrobat out, you can't do that in Adobe Reader.

How to check the resolution of a pdf file using Acrobat 9 pro?

PDF files don't have one resolution, but may have none or many different resolutions, one per image. You can check the maximum/minimum resoluion with preflight in Acrobat Pro, but not in Adobe Reader.

  • How do I add pages to a pdf file?

    I am new to iMac.
I am used to using Adobe Acrobat for Windows to create pdf files. In Acrobat, when you scan a page, you have the option to add the page to an existing pdf file.
I know how to use the Scan feature on Print & Fax to create pdf files on the iMac.
I can not figure out how to make a pdf more than one page (unless I use the document feeder to scan in a multiple pages at once.) When I use the flat bed scanner, I can not figure out how to scan another page into the same file.
I also can not figure out how to add another page to an existing pdf file.
It does not appear Adobe Acrobat is available for the Mac, just Adobe reader. If it was, I would just buy that.
Does anyone know how to do these two things, or a program that can?
    Thanks,

You mean it didn't take over your printing system and force you to use it?
It didn't break print to PDF functionality?
It didn't install a bunch of software you didn't want and then promptly abandon half of it?
It doesn't report an error if you try to remove the software that Adobe disabled 4 minutes after you bought it?
It doesn't continually ask you to register your software and continue to ask no matter how many times you register?
It doesn't continually tell you there are Adobe RAW updates that you need to install, even though you don't use that and don't want it, and tell it to ignore.
It doesn't report an error when you give up and tell it to install the Adobe RAW update?
Acrobat contains features that are useful and very much needed in a desktop publishing environment.
As do many other competing programs. Apple Preview can generate perfectly good PDFs and is more than adequate for the vast majority of users. PDFClerk can do things Acrobat could never dream of.
I have no experience of Acrobat Reader on the Mac so I can't comment on that.
I do, so I will comment. It is slow, bloated, and very poorly written software. It must be updated weekly due to cross-platform security flaws that are actively being exploited. Even if you do install it to use some Adobe-only feature, you may wind up having to run Acrobat in Windows because the Mac version's output is so bad.
All of the items I've listed here are just my personal experience. If you want more, just use the Apple Discussions search feature. Unfortunately, I haven't found an adequate replacement for Photoshop, so I still have that installed. Preview, however, is much better than Adobe Reader.

How can I delete pages from a pdf file

    Hi timk,
None of the Acrobat.com online services allow you to edit a PDF file. But, in checking your account, I see that you purchased an Acrobat Standard subscription, and you can certainly use that to edit a PDF file.
Have you downloaded and installed Acrobat Standard? It sounds to me as though you may be opening the PDF file in Adobe Reader, rather than Acrobat. (Reader doesn't allow you to edit PDF files.)
If you haven't already, download and install Acrobat from https://cloud.acrobat.com/acrobat. Then, make sure that you're opening your PDF files in that rather than Reader, when you want to edit them.
Please let us know how it goes!
    Best,
    Sara

How do you change text on a PDF file

If at all possible, you don't. You get the original (pre-PDF file), you edit that.
Adobe Acrobat has some very limited facilities which sometimes allow very simple text edits to PDF (e.g. change a phone number).

  • How to Reorient One Page in a PDF File?

Hi, I have a multi-page PDF file created with Epson Scan on an Epson Stylus Photo RX500 and saved in Adobe Reader 9.4.6.  There was a way to reorient the pages after scanning and before saving to PDF but they were just little thumbnails and I didn't see till after saving that the first page was upside-down.  Now whenever I try to flip just the first page, they all turn!  Is there a way I can get just the first page the other way round and leave all the others without rescanning the whole thing?  Thanks!

Thanks.  I did the scans quickly expecting to be able to edit them as with Jpegs.  I guess this means I won't be able to crop off the black borders around the pages either, so I think I'll just rescan the whole document with white paper behind the pages to make cleaner borders.

  • How to collate same pages across multiple PDF files

I have multiple reports in PDF that have specific employee data on each page. The employee page order is the same across each PDF (Employee #75 is on page 43 in each file). I would like to combine the first page from each file together, the second, and so on. That way I can provide this data to each employee without them having access to other employee's data. Is there a way to do this in Acrobat Pro?

    Hello try67,
thank you for your help. I try it in the SDK forum. Anyway I appreciate any hint to solve this task :-)
