How do I change the album artwork that appears on the front of a playlist?

When I put playlists on my iPad the wrong album artwork appears on the front of them, sometimes not even containing the correct picture. is there any way to alter this?

This needs to be fixed! The playlist artwork chosen seems random and doesn't relate to the contents of the playlist, and in my case is misleading (the same artwork for several playlists). I have a new iPad mini and the most recent version of iTunes. My ancient iPod nano is looking better all the time.

You can either add the artwork manually or if the album is available in the iTunes store you can download it from there. You'll get information on both methods at this link: iTunes 7 for Windows - Adding artwork to songs and other items
if you can't find the album covers you want from iTunes you can get them from various other sources. I find this site is a good source of artwork: CD/Album Cover Art Search from SlothRadio.
Another place for finding suitable artwork is to go to Amazon. You can also locate artwork using Google image search and put the artist or album name. Locate the album from any of those sources, right click on the image and save it to the desktop, once it's there drag it to the iTunes artwork pane. Once you've added the artwork you can either delete the original file or keep it in a folder somewhere in case you need to use it again. Alternatively there are programs like these that help locate artwork: iTunes Art Importer or MP3 Tag
If you have a scanner you can create your own artwork files by scanning the CD cover itself, this is particularly useful when you are dealing with rare recordings.
You also need to enable your iPod to show the artwork:
1. Connect your iPod to your computer
2. Click on the iPod icon when it appears the iTunes Source pane to bring up the preference tabs.
3. Select the Music tab of the iPod settings. The iPod settings are displayed to the right in the main iTunes window.
4. Select the "Display album artwork on your iPod" check box.
5. Click Apply to save the changes. The iPod begins to update as soon as Apply is clicked.

How/Can I Change the Order of a Playlist

I purchased a Greatest Hits album from iTunes and then 4 more extra songs from the same band. I then created a New Titled playlist from the library so I could burn a CD of these purchased songs, but one of the extra purchased songs " insists" on being in the Number One (1) location in the list of songs, the 3 others went to the bottom of the greatest hits playlist as I want. The new iTunes 12 Get Info dialog lacks right-click context menus (at least for now) but it still accepts most standard keyboard shortcuts and drag & drop actions.
Delete Artwork
On the artwork tab of Get Into, tap the image in question, use Backspace or Ctrl+X. Delete doesn't work.
Or, tap the image at the top left of Get Info, this time use Backspace or Delete, it is Ctrl+X that doesn't work.
Add Artwork
Select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the centre of the Artwork tab, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the small image area at the top left, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, you can drag & drop to, or sometimes from, the same locations.
You can also copy artwork from the Get Info dialog to Windows Explorer with the keyboard shortcuts.
If the source image is on a web page right-click and use Copy Image rather than copy. (With Chrome I get a one pixel wraparound so tend to go for a temporary local copy anyway - not sure whose bug this is, but it isn't new.)
If you have multiple images embedded drag the one you want to be the primary artwork to the leftmost position.
Replace/Remove All Artwork
The top left image box can be used to add or delete art from multiple tracks. In either case all existing artwork in all tracks is replaced/removed.

Hi Alan,
I have always kept this option unchecked. I've looked again just now and the option has remained unchecked. For some reason iTunes 'selected' 4 (that I've noticed) out of my 1775 albums and did its automatic update anyway. I guess this is a bug in the latest version, perhaps during the updating process.
I've changed the album art back to what I want and will keep an eye on them. I'll feed back to this thread if iTunes changes the art again.

Yes. Select one or more tracks (use ctrl or shift clicks to add/remove or extend a selection) then right-click or press CTRL-I to Get Info. Use the different tabs of the dialog to make changes.

in iPhoto you can change the cover art of an album or journal (but apparently not of a shared photo stream?!).
But how do I change the cover photo of a shared photo stream I created in the iOS 6 Photos app? It seems to be the first photo in that stream but I want to use another photo as the cover / key photo of that shared stream. Is it possible at all?

Which iPhoto are you referring to? iPhoto on your mobile device or iPhoto on your Mac? If on your Mac you'll need to change the date of the photos in the Event via the Photos ➙ Batch Change ➙ Date menu option:
This will change the date of all selected photos in the Event and thus change the date range of the Event.
Or you can use the Photos ➙ Adjust Date & Time menu option and change just one or two photos which can also change the date range of the Event.

If I have understood you correctly, you want to exclude a certain color from getting affected. You can click on a color row and it becomes highlighted with a border around it - in your artwork, let's say you want the orange color not to get affected. Right-click on it and choose 'Exclude Colors'. When you do that, you will see that the orange color moves to the bottom of the list and there is no arrow in front of it. Like this:

When you set the podcast up in WordPress you must have entered a title; it's presumably there that you can change it, and then re-publish it, though I can't advise on WordPress.
One caveat, though: some podcast creation services derive the feed URL from the title: I don't know whether WordPress is one of them, but if it is you shouldn't change the title because if you change your feed URL withouth redirecting iTunes to a new feed in the proper manner you will lose control of your podcast.
The method of changing iTunes to a new feeed URL requires the old feed to be left in place with a special tag added to it (I don't know whether this is possible in Wordpress) - the method is detailed here:

However if the feed URL is not affected by changing the title then you can just go ahead and change it.

I see that if you select view > view options when in artists it will give you a slider to adjust artwork size (although not by much) but there is no option to do this in Movies or TV shows... why couldn't they just keep the universal slider at the top of the page like before!? My understanding is that Firefox uses the global printer settings. I am not familiar with the Windows 8 interface, but can you change the printer settings in its Devices and Printers and see if it changes the default for Firefox as well?
