How do I change the Apple ID on my iCloud account??
I've tried some of the posts on here and I'm still having trouble. I recently got the iPhone 4S and I need to restore my settings but I don't remember the password to the apple ID on my new phone and I haven't found a way to change it. Please help!!
If you forgot your password, reset it here: https://iforgot.apple.com. Then to change it on your phone do the following:
For purchasing go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores (Settings>Store in iOS 5), tap the ID, sign out, sign back in using your new password.
For iMessage, do the same thing in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive (Receive At in iOS 5).
For FaceTime, do this in Settings>FaceTime.
For iCloud, you have to go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This only deletes the account from the phone, not from iCloud. It also deletes any data you are syncing with your iCloud account from your phone, but not from iCloud.) Then sign back into your iCloud account using your new password and turn syncing back on to sync your data back to your phone. (If prompted, choose Merge.)

Yes, you delete the account, then sign back in with a new ID to create their new account. With iOS 7 you will be prompted to provide your password in order to delete the account. Also, when you delete the account you will be asked if you want to keep or delete the iCloud data from the device. If you plan to migrate a copy of the data to the new account, choose Keep, then choose Merge after signing into the new account to upload the data.

How can I change my Apple ID in my iCloud account for my iPhone 4? I have updated to my new Apple ID on iCloud and iTunes, but my phone still shows my old apple id, thus it's not letting me restore previously backed up info.
Go to Settings>icloud, scroll to bottom of screen and tap Delete Account. Then log in using a different ID.

Is there a way to change the apple ID on an Icloud account? I would like to "give" an ICloud account to my daughter. We used to share one, but she's getting older I would like to split our accounts. She has her own Apple ID but since all her games are on this ICloud account, I would like to give it to her and start my own.
You can migrate your device and a copy of the iCloud data to a new account. To do this, start by saving any photo stream photos you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow, then tapping Save to Camera Roll. If you are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; your daughter's device won't be effected by this), choose Keep on My iPad and provide the password when prompted. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload the data.
Once you are on separate accounts you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.
The existing iCloud email account cannot be moved to your new account so you will need to give your contacts your new email address if you are giving the account to your daughter. -

Thanks!If you want to move to a new, separate iCloud account you have to delete the account, create a new account with the other ID, and migrate your data to the new account. Deleting the account will only delete it from your phone, not from iCloud. This will not effect other devices still using the account. Also, you can continue to share your ID for the iTunes and App stores even though you will have a different ID for iCloud. They do not need to be the same.
To begin, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll or you will lose them. To do this, open the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tap Edit, tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, if you have any data in either iCloud account that you no longer want (such as someone else's contacts) you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete it. -

At some point in the past, iCloud started identifying me as someone else when I send emails. This incorrect name appears to be the "Full Name" setting of the email account, but when modifying the properties for the email account in Mail the field for modifying the "Full Name" setting is disabled, not allowing me to make any changes.
Where is the correct place to change the "Full Name" setting for my iCloud account?

<Email Edited By Host>I believe it can be changed by going to https://appleid.apple.com/, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in with your iCloud ID, select "Name, ID and Email Addresses", then click "Edit" next to the name listed under "Your Name" and change it as desired.
Also, if you are trying to change the sender name for your iCloud email account, you'll want to go to icloud.com, sign into your account, open Mail, click the gear shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, go to the Accounts tab and enter the name you want to use in the Full Name field and click Done. Then quit Mail (Command-Q) on your Mac and re-open it. Your new From name should now appear in the drop-down list when you compose a new email.

I have just set up my new iMac. When asked for an email address, I set up a new one instead of using the email address used for my icloud used in my ipad. How do I apply the old email address to icloud on the imac so that my calendars and email synchronise on all machines?
Sign out in System Preferences>iCloud then sign in with the ID used on your iPad.

If your AppleID is a .Mac or .Me account then you can't change it. But it shouldn't go away.
If it is something else you can. Just log in here (https://appleid.apple.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/MyAppleId.woa/) and manage your AppleID. Click edit next to the ID and you should be able to simply change it.

In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")

You don't have to do anything with the first iPod that you don't use anymore. If you are planning on keeping it, put in a drawer in your house and forget about it.
You don't need a second account to use with the new iPod. I use one Appl e ID and iTunes library for two iPods, and two iPad. I have different content on all four devices. You can select exactly what you want to sync to each device and it can be different content on all devices. -
I installed some apps using an apple I'd that is no longer active. I can't update them because it asks for the password of the old I'd instead of the I'd I currently use. How can I change the apple I'd associated with these apps? I still want to use them. One app I paid for using the old I'd. The other app is free. I have already tried deleting them and reinstalling them.
If you simply just changed the email associated with that appleid you can just delete and Re-download the apps.
You can verify the above step by going to the App Store on device > Updates>Purchased - if you see the app there just delete it from the home screen and redownload from the purchased section
Now if you got rid of that account entirely, you will have to delete and re-purchase on your new account -

It would probably be best to attach the iPod to a computer and restore it. This way you'll know it's wiped clean. Then, when you start up the iPod it will ask you for your Apple ID.
