How do i change the background color from black to blue on architectural drawing?
I inverted the background color from white to black, and the black lines from black to white using the Invert tool under Adjustments. But now I want to change the black color to blue to give it a more vintage "blueprint" look. I'm using CS4.
There are often many ways to do things, and c.pfaffenbichler's suggestion above is good.
However, as I'm very fond of Curves, I'd use Image - Adjust - Curves (or Layer - New Adjustment Layer - Curves) myself, and pull the black point of the blue curve up.

I can't find a place to change the background to black from white. I'd like Photoshop's automated web gallery feature to show photos against a black background once I open the htm file inside Firefox. I use a Mac with OS 10.6.7 (current) on my 27-in. iMac. Thanks very much

How can I change the background color of black clips?
"iMovie Help" says to double click (or "apple i" or file ⇒show info), then "Click the color box and choose a color for the clip". I get a "Clip Info" window, with "Name", "Media File", "Size", "Capture date", and "Duration", but it does not have a "Color box". I know this should be a simple task. Thanks to any for their time and expertise.
Hi dosrio - what was the origin of the black clip? If it was a title 'over black' you are best to re-do it, with 'over black' unchecked.
If it was really just an 'empty space' formed by dragging the existing clips to the right, then it must be first converted into a black clip (Control-Click it, and select 'convert empty space to clip'). Then double click it, and the resulting info box will include a colour selector. Note that this is a simple way of creating any colour clip you want. You must be in Timeline mode to create it, after which it will show up in both Timeline and Clips View. -
How do I change the background color of my canvas in FCPX? I changed it from black to checkered but would like to return it to it's orginal settings.
ThanksYou can change the background display color in the playback preferences, either black, white, or checkerboard. This does not change the output color. If you want to add a color to the video, you have to place a custom generator underneath your video and change the color in the inspector.

How do you change the background color?
I saved a Word document as a PDF and the background color is yellow. The Word document is white. On the PDF, the background is yellow and the inserted graphics and boxes are white.
How do I change the background color of the PDF? And is there a default setting for the color. This happens every time I need to create a PDF from a Word document.
Thank you.
MicheleHi Michele,
Please check the following Preferences:
Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Accessibility -> make sure "Replace Document Colors" is unchecked.

How do you change the background color upon which the clip resides...
I don't want to change anything within the clip itself, but the matte(?)
from black to white or cream.
I am working with Elements 10...Create a color matte of the desired color and place it on video track 1. Then place your video on track 2.
from here: Adobe Premiere Elements Help | Creating specialty clips
Create a colored matte for a background
You can create a clip consisting of a full‑frame matte of solid color, which you can use as a solid background for titles or animated clips.
Brightly colored mattes can serve as temporary backgrounds to help you see transparency more clearly while you adjust a key effect.
Click Project Assets.
In the Project Assets panel, click New Item from the panel options and choose Color Matte.
Choose a color in the Adobe Color Picker dialog box, and click OK.
A color matte clip is placed into both the Project Assets panel and the Expert view timeline. -

Themes work in Thunderbird - duggabe was not refering to Firefox.
Another useful addon is theme and font changer:
* https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/thunderbird/addon/theme-font-size-changer/
However, Thunderbird allows you to modify all sorts of things.
Make hidden files and folders visible:
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders
Help > Troubleshooting Information
Click on 'show Folder' button
a window opens shwoing profile folder name
Close Thunderbird now - this is important
In the profile name folder, Create a new folder called '''chrome''' - note the spelling
It should be in the same place as the 'Mail' folder.
see first image below.
Open Notepad
Can be located : Start > Programs > accessories
Copy everything shown between the lines below.
Paste into Notepad.
Save as '''userChrome.css''' - note the spelling (edit updated - this was a typo error)
This should be saved in the '''chrome''' folder.
see second image below.
Restart Thunderbird.
I have chosen a yellow for you
<pre>
#f6f58c = a yellow....it is a hex code for a colour.
</pre>
You can change it if required. Remember when updating anything in the profile folders, you must close Thunderbird first.

How do I change the background color of a row in a table indicator?
Hello,
How do I change the background color of a row in a table indicator? I know how to change the background color in a active cell, but that is not what I want. My first intent is to make the background color of the first row a unique color, such as green, just to highlight the top row of the table.
Regards,
Kaspar
Regards,
KasparI have done this before by using a for loop to change the active cell of a row in order to give the appearance that the whole row is turning the color at once.

really want to change the background color of my documents in the mobile app. ive tried to search the answer online, in blogs and other various 'life hacks' blogs or articles, but so far everyone is talking about the desktop version. i really want to figure this out. is there even an option for the mobile version for windows? the only editing icons when a document is open are: export, home, make public, search in document, highlight/strikethrough/underline/comment and continuous/single view. if there isnt an option to edit background color, can i suggest that the makers of the windows mobile version make one, and make it fast please! any help would be appreciated. -CHANGE BACKGROUND COLOR
hi, thanks for helping me ...
i have used the above url and made changes to my OAF page, but i didn't get the desired output and its also giving as the above code output .

How do I change the Background Color of a Shape in iWeb?
I am adding a comment bubble from the Shape menu for one of my photos. Everytime I try to change the background color of the bubble I end up changing the entire background color of the Web Page.
How do I only change the background color of the shape?
G5 Mac OS X (10.4.4)Hi Kyn,
Perhaps you (or anyone else!) can help me with this too: is it possible to change the color of the border styles that you choose for the thumbnails on a photo page? There is no "fill" option in the Graphic pane of the inspector when I select one of them. I love some of the styles but would like to be able to match the color better to my pages. See here for an example:
http://web.mac.com/mousie/iWeb/Site/Recount.html
The twirly border is a little too orange for my taste.
Thanks in advance. -
How do I change the background color of the pages?
I have been having trouble finding how to change the background color of the pages. I would prefer a black background.
thanksDo you know how to edit the template? If not simply choose a rectangle shape, change colour to Black and using ARRANGE, send to back and bring forward till it replaces whatever is there.
The best way is to pull down the book slide to reveal the Layout - which shows you the chapters and section etc which make up a template. You have to use the same procedure on ever page from the template you intend to use.
In the Template Layout, select your page. Click on whatever your background colour is...IF its unlocked you see the square pull handles in corners - now simply select Black and it should change the colour - if not and its unlocked, it may be a black image, in which case delete it, Insert a new rectangle, pull to fit the page and change colour to black. It should now be hiding the other content, ARRANGE > Send to Back and it should sit behind all your content. Now go back to arrange and LOCK.
You should see a red marker on the left with whatever page you are editing "Save Changes" click it and its done... repeat on all other pages.
