How do you change the header on different pages?
I'm having difficulties changing the header on another page. For example, my title has to be a certain header nad the other pages another header, but all them conform to the same header!
It is called alignment.
+Menu > Format > Align > Left / Right / Centre / Justify+
Or use tabs to position the text where you want it, setting tabs by clicking on the ruler.
The first click gets you the default left align tab, each subsequent click on the tab marker advances it to centre, right, decimal and back again to left. Or you can right click on the tab marker and get a pulldown menu with the same choices.

How do I change the default color in pages.
How do I change the default color in pages. Everytime I try to copy and paste a passage, I am unable to do so because it seems that the ink is always white on white. Sometimes I am lucky and can change it using the color box in the format bar, but it's a rarity when I'm able to do it.
What version of Pages & what version of OS X are you using?
A problem with an early Software Update for Snow Leopard caused a lot of problems. The problem is not whether or not your system is the current version but how it got there. You must use the combo updater, not the one from Software Update unless it specifically states it is the combo. Software Update will only offer the combo if your system is two or more versions behind.
If you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 (or '08 if that's what you're using) folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work. -

Ask your question. How do I change the template for a pages document
How do I change the template for a pages document?
Once you've opened it, the opened document is no longer a template. Edit it as you would any other Pages document.
If you want to use the edited document as a Template, then , after editing, go File > Save as Template, give the new template a name, and click Save.
The old template will remain available in the location where you found it; the new one will be in the My Templartes sectionof the Templates Chooser.

How do you change the language in iPad Pages?
How do you change the language in iPad Pages? I tried lookin for it but I can't find it.
What a lot of confusion in this discussion!
The language of a text is a property of the text itself. If the keyboard or the language of the OS of the computer is changes afterwards, the language of the text remains what it was.
Only at the moment when text is typed the keyboard settings may be used to identify the language. If you are able to imagine a text composed of sentences in different languages you should be able to understand this.
Changing the keyboard in order to change the spellckeck only works at the moment of typing. With texts written earlier it is meaningless.
When I import a document written in German on my Mac to my iPhone and iPad, Pages on iPhone and iPad do niot recognise that the text is German. The spelling checker underlines everything. And what people complain about here is that we do not find the place where to tell Pages that the existing, imported text is written in a certain language.
Please stop mixing this up with keyboard issues! -
How to change the header in all pages at once?
I'm new to iWeb and can't figure out how to change the headers of all pages without having to go through and do it to every page. There should be a way, but is this a feature iWeb doesn't have?

How do I change the colour of a page in Pages without using a floating shape or text box?
I want to change the colour of a page in Pages without having to stretch out a floating coloured shape or using a text box to write the text in. I have been stretching shapes and using text boxes for years but surely there is an simpler and more elegant way to do this? Plus, I want to be able to type several pages of continuous text and not have to split the text up into multiple text boxes. Any help most welcome.

There are a whole lot more really essential features missing in Pages than this.

How do you change the header?
okay, i am somewhat new to Pages.
what i would like to know is, you know how in Microsoft Word, there is 3 places in the header, like you could write on the side, then press tab and write in the middle, then press tab and write on the right side, example:
My name could go here... [tab] Something else could go here.... [tab} Something else here....
but in pages, there is on 2 places to write, the left side, and right side, no middle. =[[
i would like the middle back. how could i change this?It is called alignment.

How could I change the heade in Flash Help
Hi everybody,
I am pretty new to this forum, that is I just began to probe
with RH7, and it is going well so far, because of your help and the
technical service's help from Adobe.
I tried different layers to see which one is the most
appropriate for my project, and the Flash is very interesting.
However, I would like to put a logo or a text in the header
(the coloured one), and I have no clue how, and what tool I should
use.
Is anybody familiar with Flash Help tweaking?
Thank you,
BogdanI'm not familiar with the .fsw file type. Where are you
finding that file? Is it named skin_background_tb?
Try searching for skin_background_tb.fla in your project's
source files. I think .fla is your best bet.
It's been long enough since I've started a brand new
FlashHelp project that I can't remember if the "FlashHelp Default"
skin is included in the project automatically or if you have to
generate the layout with a skin from the gallery before any Flash
skin files appear in your source files. If you haven't done so
already, open the FlashHelp layout dialog, select a skin, and
generate the layout. Once you've done this, you should see a folder
within the !SkinSubFolder! directory that has the name of the skin
you selected. That skin folder should contain all the .fla and .swf
files for the skin. Those .fla files are the ones you would edit to
change the skin. (Whenever you edit a .fla file, you then export it
as a .swf movie to that same skin folder, then generate the layout
again to see the results.) -
Hi! How can I change the header text direction to vertical?
I have many columns with big names, but I need small space for body cells, and I want to check all the table at a view ... So I want to change the direction of the header texts to "left vertical" or "right vertical".
There are a couple discussion threads on this already. Fundamentally it is not a feature that Numbers supports. There are several work arounds but non of theeem are great:
Please see this thread:

How do you change the header/footer color for MyPage.
I understand that you can change the type of headers and footer for Mypage using Subportals. If I want to change the 'color' of the header for mypage, do I just have to 'create a new header using a different color' or 'edit and change the color of the existing header portlet in the Brand setting'? Does that mean that I need to create several header portlets of the same type with different colors?
Couple of points:
In 5.0, unlike 4.5, individuals can not change the color of their MyPage, and is determined by the Subportal assignment of the user. The MyPage color (and header) can be different for each Subportal, but users only belong to a single Subportal, and Subportals and Subportal assignments are usually only made by the Portal manager. The color can , however, be different on each Community, and that can be controlled by each Community manager. For Subportals, you need to create a new header Portlet for each color scheme. For Communities, you do nothave to create a new header Portlet: Choose an existing Portlet from the Community editor, save your changes, re-open the Community editor, and go back to the Header and Footer selection screen. You will be able to click on the selected header Portlet and change the color scheme for that one Community.
