You are attempting to download the picture to your computer not uploading photo to the website if I am understanding you correctly.

I'm not sure if this is the right neighborhood to post this question, but here goes. How do I change the default software that opens when I click on a document icon. I've been without MSWord for a long while, so all my word processing docs have been written in TextEdit, the stock mini-word processor that comes with OSX. Now I have MSWord and I no longer need TextEdit. Even more importantly, I'd like Word to automatically open when I click on a doc created in TextEdit. Adding ".doc" at the end doesn't do it. It's still refers to TextEdit to open the document.

Select a document of that type in the Finder, choose Get Info from the File menu, change the application under Open With, click on Change All, and confirm your action.

How do I change the default program that opens .acsm files?

I am borrowing library eBooks to read on my Sony Reader. I want to ensure that Adobe Digital Editions is the default program to open .acsm files, but am not sure how to do that. Thanks for the help!

Right (control) click on the .acsm file > select Open With > then select Adobe Digital Editions.
Likewise you can select all of files in a folder with Edit > Select All > then Get Info and set them all to Open with: Adobe Digital Editions or whatever.

I downloaded a program (Babylon) to translate text. After trying it out, I removed the program using their uninstall and then the add/remove functionality within windows. Nevertheless, remnants remain. When I attempt to open a new tab in Firefox (and IE for that matter), I get the Babylon Search page. In Chrome, when I changed the homepage, it eliminated the issue when opening a new tab. How do I establish a new default page when I open a new tab?

First, make certain that you have security setup for access to the ZFP, or zero footprint on BPC web. Next, the easiest method to change the opening page in BPC Web is to open the Web interface, and go to the Content Library.
Then click the name of the page, next to the Check box (in blue). This will open the page and you may select, Modify this Page from the Action pane on the right. From here, you can edit the existing page, add a new page or content, delete the original content etc. You add new content that is named and can move it around to fit your needs. Each section is a named content area in the page. When done, save and preview the page. All the work uses the Action Pane.

Let’s verify the following:
Whether you use the picture library web part or Image Viewer web part or Picture Library Slideshow Web Part.
I think you should custom the web part to stretch images to fit into your web part. There is no OOTB method to achieve it.
Whether the home tab is your library name.
To remove the Home tab, edit the web part->Appearance->”Chrome” choose none.

We previously had google as our main home page then tried a page called bearshare. Now we want to change the home page back to google. I have tried numerous times typing in the new home page under tools, options then general tab and when we close firefox and then reopen the page it loads bearshare again so we go back to tools option again and it has automatically changed back to bearshare. We are running windows xp on our system and prefer google but bearshare is annoying as it doesn't find alot of kids games sites that we can get through google. When I downloaded Foxfire the home page came up with "Meet Mozilla Foxfire" then below that it shows "Become a Firefox Expert in 8 Easy Steps". I would like to delete this and in lieu of that show recent highlights and the news. I have no problem with the tool bars they are fine just the home page.
