How do i change the look of finder

i would like to make finder look like it did in snowleopard, ie, when i select sort by date modified it doesnt come up with all this last week, last month etc, i just want the whole window to be sorted by date, can anyone help?

What is the point of a "redesign"?
I was very happy with the IOS 6 look and feel, and I am very UNhappy with the IOS 7 look and feel, and the fact that I wasted several hours having to reset my phone because so many settings were arbitrarily changed.
Why isn't there an option to keep the look and feel the customer is used to and likes? There's tons of storage space on the phone and I don't see any techncial difficulty in doing so to keep the customers happy, but only some marketing decision that decided to change EVERYTHING. Having been involved in upgrades and revisions to interfaces, my experience was you always try to make upgrades smooth for the customer, not rocky.
This upgrade was rocky, and still is.

  • How do I change the look of the cropping tool

How do I change the look of the cropping tool

What do you mean, "change the look"?  Please be specific.
What do you want the crop tool to "look" like?
Yes, the crop tool is different than it used to be. But it works just as well as it always did. Instead of moving the crop over the timage, now move the image. Use the edge handles to adjust the crop size. Alternatively, set the crop tool to work in various ways by adjusting it in the control bar. (Size and Proportions, Rotate Crop, Straighten Image, Crop Options, etc.)
Alternatively, you can set the Crop Tool to have "classic" behavior, also via the control bar.

  • How do I change the look of the NetWeaver login page?

    Hi all,
I searched and searched and did not find anything.  How do I change the branding/graphics on the login page in 12.0?
    Thanks,
    --Amy Smith
    --Haworth

    Hi Amy,
I realize this question is answered, but I have modified the login pages for our MII instances.
There may be a cleaner way to do this (ok maybe this is a hack), but I managed to locate the images on the server, located at.
    <DRIVE>:\usr\sap\<SID>\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\com.sap.security.core.admin\servlet_jsp\logon\root\layout
In my case, I modified two files and restarted the server:
branding-image.jpg  -- "That sexy SAP graphic showing some sort of structure"
branding-text.gif -- "The SAP NetWeaver banner at the bottom right"
There are also two files named branding-image-portals.jpg and branding-text-portals.gif.
I substituted these files with my own graphics.  My version of branding-image is a bit taller than the stock SAP graphic, but that did not cause any problems.
I am absolutely positive that this is not the SAP recommended approach.  Also, some support pack installations will overwrite these files, so you may need to reinstall them if patches are applied.
    Regards,
    Rod

  • How can I change the look of URL Icons?

I have created several web site URL shortcuts and put them in my Dock (actually I just drug the web site URL's to my Dock, Apple crated the ability for me to do so).  I have a iMac desktop, with OS X Mavericks 10.9.1.
My question is:  Is there any way to change the look of the icons for the URLs that I have in my dock? (so far I have 5).  They all look the same, an @ sign on top of a pedestal with a spring.  I would like to at least change the face of the icon, the @ sign, to a picture of my choosing that would enable me to tell the difference of each one at a glance rather than having to slide my mouse pointer over each one to get the name of the web site to pop up.
Below is a picture of three of the icons on my dock.  As you can see they all look the same, almost like the "Contacts" icon which is an @ sign on a book cover.
Best regards and still looking for clues  and answers,
    Peohguy

Your post helped me a lot.  After all of the dust cleared and after sorting through all of the answers, the post(s) that solved my problem were from Kenichi Watanabe.  However, I did have to go through all of Kenichi's posts to get the complete method that worked.  Some of the other posts were difficult for me to comprehend and did not seem to work for me.  I probably didn't do them like the writer's intended?   Again thanks for taking the time to read my question and dig through your memory bank to come up with the thread that helped.
    Best regards,
    Peohguy

  • How can I change the look of components?

    hi there,
I've always had this question in mind...............
can I change the look of components in flash??

Yes, you can. It's not particularly complicated, but I'd
suggest you first look in the help file. Search for the term
"customizing UI components". If you have trouble after reading
that, then feel free to ask more specific questions. We'll be happy
    to help.

  • HT3155 How can I change the language for Finder to British English?

Hi, I've been using a mac for almost all my life but recently something has been really bothering me on my new macbook air.
The finder window has a category called 'favorites' which to a native of the UK is incredibly annoying.
This has been a slight issue before.. the last version of pages used US English as its preference but you could get round it and it has since been corrected in the the new version. Finder is a completely different story. British English is down as my preferred language in System Preferences..so how can I change Favorites to Favourites?!

The 33 languages which the Finder (and all menus and dialogues) can appear in are listed in the tech specs:
    https://www.apple.com/osx/specs/
"English" on that list  meana US English.  Apple has not so far offered a British English localization, but you can ask for one via
    http://www.apple.com/feedback
Putting British English at the top of the list should make that the default spell check language, but will not change the menus and dialogues, except in an app where that has been especially provided for.  I think iTunes may do it.

  • How can I change the firefox text find color?

When you press CTRL+F in Firefox to bring up the text search and you search for a word, the word is highlighted in this neon green color. Is there a way to change the color of this? The green color is hardly visible.

    Hi Pino76,
You should take a look at:
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries#UI.
Just type ''about:config'' into your browser
ui.textSelectBackgroundAttention is the entry you want to modify. Just add the hex value of the color you want.
If that entry isn't there, you can create it.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • How can I change the look so it doesn't look like java? pictures included.

    Hello everyone.
I made this JPanel in netbeans, and I clicked preview, and it looked very nice. I then copied and pasted that code into Eclipse IDE and ran it. When I ran it, everything lined up the same but it didn't look as good, it looked like Java (not saying I don't like Java but I would like to make it have a different look.)
Is there a way to make it look like it did in the NetBeans preview?
    Here's the picture:
The Bottom is me running the code in Eclipse IDE
The top picture is what it looks like in NetBeans Preview option. <---this is how I want it to look like when someone runs my program.
Any ideas how I can make take over the theme of the Operating system? (So if its windows, it looks like windows).
    Thanks.

  • How do you change the look of a generic folder?

    Hi people,
I have numerous folders I have created and they all look the same. The generic new folder look. Is there any way to customize the folders, with pictures I might have?
For example, if I had a generic looking folder labelled 'music', could I find a picture of a musical note and have the picture as my folder icon, rather than the generic look?
    Hope this makes sense.
    G.

    George--
Sure, you can do this. If you find a folder or program with an icon you like, just highlight it in the Finder and choose "Get Info" from the "File" menu. You'll get a panel with an icon in the top left. Just click once on the icon to select it, then go to your new folder and "Get Info" for it. Just select its icon and paste into it.
I was also able to open up a TIFF file in Preview and copy and paste a portion of that as a folder's icon. So there are other ways to do it, besides using icons.

  • How can I change the look of the folders in OSX?

I have been trying to change or decorate my folders with photos ir icons, but no luck so far..
    any thoughts?
    thnx

    Hi ctroost,
As previous poster said, highlight the folder icon you want to use. Then right click and choose Get Info. A window will open with folder information. On the top, you will see your hightlighted icon. Click on the icon, and then in the toolbar click on Edit-Copy.
Then do the same as above with the folder you want to change. except click on Edit-Paste. Sometimes for me it takes two click for it to happen. But when it does, your original folder, changes to the one you copied.
I prefer a great program for this named CandyBar.....
