How do I change the number listed in Settings 'my number' to the correct mobile number?

Hi all,
Recently taken out new contract with 3 network, and using a PAC code from Vodafone UK, I transfered my existing number to 3.
In SETTINGS - PHONE - MY NUMBER the temporary number issued by 3 network is showing!!
Plus it's showing in FACETIME and iMessage.
I've sync'd with iTunes, and have switched handset off, removed the sim card and then replaced it, and switched on again, and this did nothing.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Didn't work at this is grey'd out and mate.
I've tried advice from another member longer88 with partial success on facetime and iMessage.
Just wane to show my correct number now.

I'm afraid I might accidentially overlook messages the way they are handled now.

Somebody here will correct me if I'm wrong, but what you have to do is go into Settings, Mail/Contacts/Calendars and under Mail, turn off "Organize by Thread". I think that will make each message show individually.

Wrong number in iMessage
simple fix
go to settings- messages - send and receive- select the numbers and emails you want to use - deselect the ones you don't need

if you cant check or uncheck these do this turn imessage off then
reset all settings
settings-general-reset-reset all settings
now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
if issue persists back up and restore as new via iTunes

Hi,
Use the Apple ID site to Manage your ID to remove any details that you want from the info held.
If you mean your My Card in your Address Book or Contacts app has both the Apple ID and the iPhone number listed then you can edit that.
Also delete com.apple.imservice.FaceTime.plist from your Home folder/Library/Preferences
In Mountain Lion you need to use the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and type in ~/Library/Preferences to access the Folder as the Library is Hidden.
You may need to set up your registered Apple ID in FaceTime again.

As far as I can tell you cannot delete the ID when Only one is listed.
This would suggest that you have to add the second (Correct) one and then delete the first (wrong) one.
I can't say I have tried this yet.

Since the upgrade to version 9.0.1 of Firefox, the Bookmarks feature changes are confusing me. They seem to be confusing themselves as well. The list of bookmarks has changed. The font size is so small that my aging eyes cannot read it without fogging the screen with my breath. Some folders are out of alphabetical order (where I know they were previously good), and some are missing altogether (folders to which I frequently add references).
As for missing or deranged files or folders, was there something that I should have done or now need to do to recover those after the upgrade (or before)?
With regard to font size,
1. there is no “Edit Bookmarks” or like option to edit the list in this version
2. the “zoom” option in the “view” list of functions is greyed out when in “Show All Bookmarks” window
3. expanding the browser window has no effect on font size
4. “Preferences” settings for font size has no effect in that window either, including advanced settings
5. “Help” offers none that I can find.
Can any of you Help?!?

You can associate files from the Bridge level and the Desktop level.
In Bridge CS4, go to Preferences > File Type Associations and change it to Photoshop CS4 for the file types you want.

Use his ID for Settings>Messages>Send And Recieve and for Settings>FaceTime.
If he does not have an ID then
Create a NEW account using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
