How do I change the secure phone number for keychain?

Hi
I was setting up keychain and put in the wrong phone number. Now some random keeps getting my Verification Code for Keychain sent to them.
How do I change this please?!

To change the number on (from http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4644):
Devices using iOS 7.0.3 or later: Tap Settings > iCloud > Account, then tap Keychain. Check that the phone number listed under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
Macs using OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later: Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Check that the phone number listed under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.

I've searched and can't find this exact problem in any other thread. How do I change the iMessage phone nubmer on my iPad. It is NOT the same as my iTunes phone number.
My wife and I share an AppleID. When I updated my iPad to iOS6 her phone number became my iMessage phone number. Now, I get all her iMessages between her and her contacts and not my own. The email is still my iTunes account email.

If you go to General>Messages>ReceiveAt and then add an additional Apple ID, if you dont have an other Apple ID, you will have to create a new one. Also, if you dont want to receive your current messages, you can remove the number/Apple ID, but only if you have 2 or more Receiving accounts. (including your current) If you dont want to use iMessage at all, just simply switch iMessage from "On" to "Off"

Use a different Apple ID for iMessage (and FaceTime). You can continue to share the same ID for iTunes purchasing but you should have separate IDs for each person for iMessage and FaceTime. To change the ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a separate ID. Then do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.

We know the ID and password, but since it is a new device it is forcing us to answer the security questions. The ipod is for my son, but we as parents set up the itune account, and now between my wife and I can't remember who's - or what - we used to answer them.

You can change the phone number the verification code is sent to from a device or Mac that has your iCloud keychain enabled as follows:
In iOS 8, tap Settings > iCloud > Keychain > Advanced. In iOS 7, tap Settings > iCloud > Account > Keychain. Make sure the phone number under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
