How do I change the toolbar menu to show only icons, not icons and descriptive text? Thanks for your help.
My menu toolbar shows icons with a text to the right of the icon describing it. How do I change the settings so that just the icons show. I'm pretty sure it can be done as I've set my desktop for icons only.

please help :-(That's Activation Lock. You will need to remember the Apple ID and password you used to set up the phone.
If you can't remember them, you can go to iforgot.apple.com to try to recover the information.
If you are the original owner of the phone & have proof of purchase, you can try calling Apple to see if they can assist also.

Import photos to your computer, then delete the copies that reside on the phone. Also remove apps you no longer use.

I don't think the user will ever have any control over that very minor and transient visual design feature of the app. You will have to get used to it. There are many more substantive complaints to be issued regarding the performance of this product.

We are from Austria and we are travelling to the US next week. As we have rent a car to get around we thought it would be a great help to install the TomTom Navigation on our iPad 2. But the question is if it does also work without WiFi as we will not have a SIM-Card or something else in the iPad when we are travelling around.
Thanks in advance!My suggestion would be to rent a car with the Tom Tom or another similar product already installed. It will be much easier to use that I think than your iPad while driving. Most major rental companies offer these on their vehicles in the US for a fee.

I have recently recieved messages indicating that my start up disc is almost full. Consequently I need to remove some files from my hard drive. I've backed up my hard drive onto a NAS system & onto an external harddrive. The problem now, is that whenever I try to delete a file, a message comes up saying that if I remove this file from my hard disc it will remove it from all my other devices that are syn. to it. How do I remove a file (movies) from my iMac but not from other devices.

You're best bet would be to buy yourself an external Firewire or USB 2.0 hard-disk. There's no way you'll get 150gb onto an 80gb drive - certainly not in an instantly accessible way.
Your new Mac would've had the Migration Assistant appear during the initial OS install. This allows you to connect your new and old Mac together via a Firewire cable and automatically transfer your important files from old Mac to new.
Once you've all the files off your old Mac, re-format it and re-install the OS that came with it. If you boot up the Mac from the OS install DVD, there is an option to re-format the HD and install the OS.

By "game center account", do you mean Apple ID?
If so, you can change it.
1. Tap settings and navigate to iTunes and App Stores
2. Tap "Apple ID" and then tap "Sign Out"

The feature you are talking about in System Preferences does work and is not related in any way to the one at startup.
One restores the windows of an application you've quit, the other reopens all windows you had open at shutdown or restart.
Why should "I" have to constantly turn off a checkbox when I shutdown the system?
You don' t have to. Did you have a look at my post just above yours? With a double click you can have your restart without opening the last open windows. That's less than clicking the apple icon and selecting "restart" or "shut down" and then clicking "Restart" or "Shutdown" again. -

Tap on the id in Settings > Store and log out of it and then log in with your id. But if there is any content on the iPad from his account then you are probably better off resetting back to factory defaults via Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings and starting 'as new' with it - content is tied to the id that bought/downloaded it so your account won't be able to download updates to any of his apps, and unless his account is authorised on your computer's iTunes and his content is on there then it will be deleted when you sync to it.

In theory, that is true. In practice, Attachment Tamer will cause more of your messages to show up as plain-jane icons on the other end. The problem is, after all, people running Outlook 2003 and 2007. These people likely aren't doing many system modifications.
If I were you, I'd use the free solutions provided above, save my money and let my recipients decide how they will handle their mail.

The question is most likly simple to solve and I am just dumb one more time. I have some textfields in a dynamic form. However LiveCycle doesn't print them with the underlined boarder (like it should) but without any. If I reset it to static, everyth
