How do I change to BB Desktop REdirector option?

When I first setup my BB, I don't think I chose the BB Desktop Redirector Option.  How can I change to this option now?

Uninstall the desktop software, then re-install and choose Redirector.

  • How do I change what the desktop background is for new desktops?

I am on OS X Mavericks and I want to change my desktop background so that every new desktop I create has that background, but whenever I change the background, it only changes the background for the desktop I was currently in and all new desktops I create still have the old background. How do you change the background for new desktops?

Create a new Desktop and activate that desktop.
Control click to open the contextual menu>>Change background.
When it opens System preference/Desktop&ScreenSaver  but takes you back to Desktop #1, simply drag the SysPreference window to the new Desktop to make the change.  You can do this by mission control .

  • How do I change the PS desktop background to a .JPG or other suitable file format of my choosing?

    Greetings,
I asked this question a couple months ago and never really received a satisfactory answer.  Maybe Adobe holds these secrets close to the vest.
What I would like to accomplish is changing my PS desktop background so that every time I open PS it has a background that I have chosen. (Yes I know you can change the black and grey in the preferences panel) What I want is not necessarily in the preferences panel, unless I'm missing something altogether.
Now here I'm adding a screenshot of a fairly well known PS user CB (who is especially good at 3D) who has his background basically the way I would like mine. If anyone can tell me how to accomplish this thank you!
    Sincerely,
    Jim
What I'm looking for is something similar to the dark blue background.  I have a JPG file similar to this that I would like to use.  Now I was able to change the splash opening screen in Lightroom, so I imagine the fix is something similar.

    Thanks,
That did work and it's the same as the frame in the sample I provided.  Unfortunately not what I wanted.  I guess I need to be much more specific. I would like to change the background to look similar to what that sample is, AND be able to have PS as an application that's on top of my desktop and not take up the entire desktop. (which is what happens if I break out the application frame) Probably not something that is doable.  I was hoping that similar to changing the Lightroom Splash screen I could change the PS desktop background to something of my choosing other than black or shades of gray.  Oh and I am on an iMac.
Thank you again Warunicorn for you help.

  • How do I change Save to Desktop to Apple+D

I used to be able to tell any SAVE window to "save to the desktop" by hitting Apple+D.
    That is broken in Mavericks.
How do I change the command, Apple+D, to save to my desktop in Mavericks Save Window?

    Nevermind,
I hit Apple+Shift+D in the Save Window and apparently it changed the menu hereon. At least evertime I quit then reopen and try to save, the Desktop is always up by default now.
Or at least I think it is.

  • How can I change the hotkey assignments for options listed in the context-click (right-click) menu?

How can I change the letter assignments designated to the options that appear in the right-click drop-down menu?
I frequently save specific items and inspect elements in webpages, however currently the key assignment for 'View Page Info' is the letter ' i ', which inconveniently is located out of the reach of my left hand.
Rather than forcing ambidextrous mouse usage to allow my right-hand to rest on the keyboard, if I could be pointed in the right direction for customizing these assignments I would greatly appreciate it. I have been able to disable some of the menu items I don't use with firebug but didn't see/didn't know how to go about customizing this option in about:config or deeper in the program files.
Thanks ahead of time, I'm sure this will be a quick and hopefully easy file/preference name assignment I just need to add, I just couldn't find any forums that had already addressed the request.

While that add-on is pretty useful and handy for customizing the keyboard shortcuts for items housed in the Menu Bar, it does not provide the resource to change the key combinations assigned to items in the context-click menu
(the one that appears when you right-click a HTML element or image or such with specific actions pertaining to the item you clicked on - See image)

  • How do I change application/dock/desktop icons?

I recently downloaded a set of icons I'd like to replace my current icons on my desktop/dock. However, I'm having some problems. I've searched for the process to switch them I'm aware that you have to go to the Command+i option, copy the icon in the left, then go to what you want to switch and paste it to the icon in the left there. However, I think I might be having a problem changing it to the icon because after I get the info window open, the icon in the left is not the actual icon I'm trying to change it to. It looks like this:
Instead of changing to the icon/picture I want, it changes to the identification of a .png/.ico image.
Am I making any sense? And if so, can someone please help?

I don't think I am exactly sure of your problem, but I'll comment anyway. The procedure for changing an icon is, kindof, how you have described it; select the item with the icon you want to use and choose Get Info. Then select the icon in the Get Info window, by clicking on it once (in the upper left). This will cause an outline to appear around it. Then select Copy from the edit menu. Now select the item you want to change and repeat that same procedure, except, select Paste from the Edit pull down menu, in place of Copy, after you have selected the icon in the Get Info window.
For changing System icons, you'll need something like CandyBar.

  • How Do You Change the Remote Desktop Listening Port in Win 8.1 Pro

I am trying to setup two Win 8.1 Pro computers for Remote Desktop access on my local network. I can get Remote Desktop working fine on both when they are using the default RD port 3389. I am unable to change the listening port on one of the computers so
that I can access either via a public Internet connection. I change the listening port in the Registry, reboot the computer and verify that the port number has been changed BUT the computer still responds to the old port 3389 and can't connect via the new
port number. I added a Firewall rule for the new port, but that did NOT solve the problem.
I have followed the procedure below and verified in the Registry that the port is changed but the Remote Desktop remains accessible only on the default port 3389. The new port number in the Registry is 39699. I used a network scanner and it shows the computer
is still listening on port 3389 for Remote Desktop connections. Why is Win 8.1 Pro ignoring the new port number in the Registry and still responding on 3389? Is there another place in Win 8.1 Pro that the port also needs to be changed. I also added a new rule
in the Firewall to allow incoming requests on port 39699? This is a very frustrating problem, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
I followed the procedure shown below.
    Hi ,
Based on my test, we can change the listening port for Remote Desktop.
To change the port that Remote Desktop listens on, follow these steps.
    1.Start Registry Editor.
2.Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber
3.On the Edit menu, click Modify, and then click Decimal.
4.Type the new port number, and then click OK.
    5.Quit Registry Editor.
    6.Restart the computer.
Meanwhile, please note, please type the new integer port number between 1025 and 65535 in the PortNumber text box.
And make sure the new port number is not in use by other application.
We may use the command below to check the result.
    netstat -a
Also, we can use Network Monitor to trace the port.
    Microsoft Network Monitor 3.4
    Regards,

    Hi,
There are two item that should be modified to change the default 3389 port:
One is: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\Wds\rdpwd\Tds\tcp]. Modify  the PortNamber to the one you want.
The other is: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentContro1Set\Control\Tenninal Server\WinStations\RDP\Tcp]. Modify the PortNumber to the one you want.
In your case, you missed the first one.

    All DONE
Good tips. I was actually trying to restore my icons.
However, having reactivated the icons I'm now kept awake at night by the flashing blue light which comes in to the bargain.
Is there anyway of having the icons on my desktop but disabling the flashing light when the phone goes on to standby?

  • How do you change an icons desktop picture?

Anybody know how to change the picture of a folder?  I dont like the standard blue folders all over my desktop

Use the Finder's "Get Info" window.
In the upper left corner there is a "preview" (or a generic icon) that you can change with a double click and some copy/paste voodoo.
Find the image you wish to use as the new icon preview and open the get info window. Single click on the icon in the upper left and "copy".
Switch to the folder you wish to change, single click the same icon and Command-v to paste the new picture.

  • How can I change my Download/Desktop folder name?

    Hello everybody!
First of all, I want to thank by advance all the people who will take some time to answer my question.
I've updated my Macbook Pro 13" late 2011 from Mavericks to the Yosemite Beta (I was part of the pre launching program), end then, from the beta to the actual release.
I don't really remember when, but suddenly, the other day, I've noticed that my basic folders wasn't named in my language. For example, the downloads folder is named "Downloads", as it should be named "Téléchargements" (I'm french, and my OS is in french). The problem is happening on a few folders, only in my finder window, the folders are correctly named in my dock... What could I do to restore that?

If you don't mind using the Terminal:
Open the Terminal in your Utilities folder. At the prompt enter:
sudo mv (drag the folder into the Terminal window) (drag it one more time, but now change the folder name)
Press RETURN. When prompted enter your admin password. It will not echo to the Terminal window. Press RETURN again.
The first entry after "sudo mv " is the old_folder_name. Be sure to include the "space" after "sudo mv." The second one is the new_folder_name. Rather than doing a lot of typing it's easier to just drag the folder in twice, then change the folder_name of the second entry. Note that there is a space between the two entries. The parenthetical text is not part of the command line. Repeat the above for each folder you need to rename.
I think this is a bit easier and quicker than reinstalling.

  • How can I change the mouse pad scrolling option?

I am sure before my recent upgrade it was the opposite way round for scrolling  I have OS X  10.9.4

Hi, I'm not sure what OS X version you upgraded from, but I was not aware that the menubar text changed in size in Mavericks from previous versions. Unfortunately there is not any system wide text size setting, however, you can change the screen resolution, which wil increase the text size (and everything else) on the screen.
System Preferences - Displays. Select 'Scaled' radio button and select a different screen resolution and decide if that setting aids you.
If there are not enough screen resolution options, hold the 'Option' key, while clicking on the 'Scaled' radio button and more resolutions will be presented.

  • How do I change the conversion to 128Kbps option to a higher bit rate?

I have a lossless music library spanning 160 GB. Of course this will not fit into an iPhone, so I want to convert it to a lossy format for the time being.
I also want to keep my lossless library in iTunes. So the only option that I see for these two conditions to coexist is the "Convert to 128Kbps when syncing" option.
However, I find 128Kbps VBR too low quality. Is there any way to increase the bit rate (perhaps to V1 or V0) without manually re-incoding my music library?

    Prodo123 wrote:

not in iTunes. however, you can use this script:
    Lossless to AAC Workflow v2.2
Two scripts assist with importing/managing Apple Lossless or AIFF audio files and sending converted AAC copies to a mounted iPod set to "manually manage songs and videos".
    Lossless to AAC Workflow (CD->iPod):
Imports each enabled CD track as an Apple Lossless or AIFF file Makes a converted AAC copy of each imported file Adds the AAC file to iPod, deleting the original AAC from iTunes.
    Lossless to AAC Workflow (iTunes->iPod):
Makes a converted AAC copy of each Apple Lossless or AIFF track selected in iTunes Adds the AAC file to iPod, deleting the original AAC from iTunes. In this way you can keep archived lossless files on your hard drive, and manageable AAC files on your iPod.
Yes, iTunes 9.1 will auto-encode tracks to iPod, but only 128 kbps AAC; these scripts enable use of your Custom AAC encoder setting.
