  • How do I check Edge status?

    How can I check on the Edge network status?
    I suddenly can't connect to the Apple mail server to send/check email and can't view anything on the Web, but the 'E' still shows up that the network is there.
    Is there a place to check on the Edge network status?
    I couldn't find anything but a coverage map that doesn't tell you anything except what areas are covered for voice or data coverage (but not current status).

    I'm not aware of any status sites that give the status of a particular tower. Sometimes, putting the phone in airplane mode for a minute will correct the issue.

  • How can I check the status of my video loading to Youtube?

    I followed all of the steps to load my video to You Tube but I don't know if it is working. I thought there was a way in iMovie to check the status of the video and the progress it makes. How do I know if my video is loading to You tube? Is there a way I can check the status. It's a big file (524 MB) so even though I didn't get an error message, how do I know if it is uploading?
    Thanks -

  • How do I check battery condition

    How do I check the battery condition on my powerbook G4? I have seen numerous posts that list the condition in detail, but cannot figure out how to do it.

    Apple Menua > About This Mac > More Info. When System Profiler opens, select Power under the Hardware heading in the left pane. Battery info will be displayed in the right pane. The most significant items are *Full Charge Capacity* and *Cycle Count,* but if your version of System Profiler also reports Condition and/or Health, those can also be informative.

  • How reliable is the Battery Status Indicator?

    I have had my MacBook Pro for a month now, and I don't know if I can trust my battery status indicator a the top of the MacOSX screen
    It usually goes a lot shorter than the indicated percentage or the calculated battery life time.
    I have another issue with this MBP.
    Has anyone actually been able to use MBP for as close to 5 hours which is the battery life posted on the apple website?
    I set my MBP to lowest backlight, no programs or widgets running, wireless and bluetooth off and kept it one for hours. The battery lasted a about 3hours and 49 minutes. Is there something wrong with this battery?

    As you use your MBP on battery it collects information on your battery usage style and uses that to predict battery run times. based on that it's reasonable accurate providing you calibrate your battery ever 4-8 weeks or so. Also, the data it collects the more accurate it can predict your battery time.
    Once you start using your MBP differently though the accuracy can vary but should still remain "reasonably" accurate.
    I personally find the times reasonably accurate altough for the most part I run off the percentage rather than time.
    Has anyone actually been able to use MBP for as close to 5 hours which is the battery life posted on the apple website?
    No-one will ever get 5 hours. As you note from the specs it's "based on usage" or more to the point, it's non-usage. Those time are achieved by having it on my not being "used".
    Average battery times should range from 2.5-4 hours depending on your actual usage.

  • How do you check the status of your order if you ordered from ATT store?

    I ordered on July the 2nd, but have no idea how to check my order's status. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Go to AT&T order status page. You can search by your order number (which they should have provided you at the store) or by the phone number you provided them at the store. If you're a current customer, it would be your current number.

    Your stats do not show Charge and Health information.
    Per your user manual: Do not operate your MacBook Pro on a pillow or other soft material, as the material can block the airflow vents. Never place anything over the keyboard when operating your MacBook Pro. Never push objects into the ventilation openings.
    From MacBook Pro: Care, Use, and Safety Information
    For prolonged use, place your MacBook Pro on a flat, stable surface. Do not place your MacBook Pro on your lap or other body surface for extended periods of time. Prolonged body contact can cause discomfort and potentially a burn.
    Since you have Apple Care, call them and tell them about your issue. If they feel you need yet another battery, ask them or the repair technician why your batteries keep failing?

  • How can i check PPAPI status of Flash Plugin in Chrome using JavaScript

    Hi,
    Can anybody help me to get PPAPI details of Flash Plugin installed in Chrome using JavaScript ?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Pawan

    Mine looks VERY similar to what the link shows: , but mine looks like the following;
    Name:
    Shockwave Flash
    Description:
    Shockwave Flash 14.0 r0
    Version:
    14.0.0.145
    Location:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\36.0.1985.125\PepperFlash\pepflashplayer.dll
    Type:
    PPAPI (out-of-process)
    Disable
    MIME types:
    MIME type
    Description
    File extensions
    application/x-shockwave-flash
    Shockwave Flash
    .swf
    application/futuresplash
    FutureSplash Player
    .spl
    NOW I have enabled the above one and disabled the unhighlighted one. In either case, and in one way or another, it's working a little better, but not without intermittent crashes.

  • How to check the status of file downloading?

    I have to download the selected file by using "file download" dialogue box.
    This "File Download" dialogue box provides options for "Open", "Save", "Cancel" or "More Info". It is similar to usual "File Downloading".
    And i am required to do further processing only if , file is "Open" or "Save".
    So how can i check the status of the option selected by the user?
    Following is the code snippet:
    res.setContentType("text/plain");
    res.addHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=" +value);
    try
         uFile= new File(fPath);
         fSize=(int)uFile.length();
         fis = new FileInputStream(uFile);
         c=-1;
         while ((c = fis.read()) != -1)
              out.print((char)c);
         fis.close();
         out.flush();
         out=null;
    catch(Exception e)
           out.println("Exception : " +e);
    } I tried to generate a flag and inside a while loop, and then checking the status of that flag outside of loop.
    But it doesn't work.
    It reflects the value of flag even if user selects "Cancel" Option.
    So, if there is any another way of checking the option selected by user from "Open","Save" or" Cancel", then please reply me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Is there any solution for this or any web link for this...?
    Thanks in advance,
    Waiting for reply

  • How to check the status of an IDoc in the Target system

    Hi Experts,
    we are using a self-made program to send Material and BOMs from Client A to Client B into the same ERP System.
    How can I check the status of an IDoc in the Target Client B (like BD87 - ALE Monitor) ?
    If you have some examples or Function, please give me the information.
    Rewards if helpful.
    Regards,
    David

    Hi David
    As mentioned in the earlier reply you can check your status with tcodes:-BD87,WE02,WE05.What i guess from your querry is the staus of your idoc whether posted or not in target client B.Check in the target client for the message type which you are using (since its an program that means you must be using an customised idoc type or standard) .You might have maintained Basic type tcode:-WE30.Give in your messagetype,Basictype,Created at and executed using tcode :- BD87.The prerequisites are you need to create an Partner Profile(WE20) .For this you need to create to provide in your message type and Process code(we41,we42,we57).If you have to create an process code for customised one(se37) .You need to actuivate the idoc inbound processing .If you are using a file in your file make it sure the port is being maintained for the same to chek for unicode format in tcode :-WE21 (check or uncheck).
                    For standard BOM i recon you are using message type :-BOMMAT  and Processing code as:-BOMM.Its always advisible that instead of using an whole abap program you need to have an ETL tool that would take care of the extraction of data provided your client do have existing Legacy system in its place since it would be much faster and easier.

  • IPod battery status in iTunes?

    Don't know which iPod nano (how do I find out?) I have but I have been really frustrated trying to determine when it is fully charged after connecting to my MacBook USB port. I have an iPod Touch and iTunes displays an icon indicating charging status. But not for the nano. I know there is an icon on the iPod nano screen but it is so small and dim I can't see that without real effort. Any solution out there?

    Hello shadowknightpaladin
    If you are using the new layout and selecting your iPod shuffle to setup syncing, the battery charge should be right underneath your iPod shuffle name. Also you can see a charge if you bring the Sidebar back, then you can see it next the iPod shuffle name. Don’t forget that you can look at your iPod shuffle to see your charge status.

  • MBP 2008 "Check Battery"

    - Penryn 2.5" 15" MBP bought in April 2008
    - Initial battery would shut down unexpectedly and have the "check battery" status in the "Power oane"
    - Genius exchanged old battery for new for free in March 2008
    - Now, new (Sony) battery exhibiting same symptoms
    Can I expect a Genius to give me again another battery? Should I rather not waste my time and buy a battery on my own? If so there are many brands on Amazon. Anyone more reliable than the Apple batteries?
    Thanks
    Phil

    Good morning.
    I've got an early 2009 17" MBP with which i'm thrilled but in the last couple of days, the battery has begun to act strangely.
    For no obvious reason I too get the *Check battery" message both in the menu bar and when I go into System Info. I've noticed the battery capacity which used to be at around 12000 mAh now hovers closer to 2000-3000, although the battery only has 145 cycles on it.
    The most extreme case was this morning when I turned on my MBP. The battery read as 78% full which seemed right a I'd used it late last night. I then closed it and let it sleep for about half an hour. When I returned, the computer was turned off. I had to plug it back into the mains before it would start again. It then informed me the battery was at 0% and I once again got the "check battery" message.
    I have trouble believing it could drain completely in half an hour.
    Has anyone had a similar issue and if so, has anyone come across a fix?
    All help appreciated.
    Cheers.

  • I have 1 GB RAM on an '07 MacBook Pro. 1) How do I check remaining memory? 2) I have Microsoft office 2004 - do I need to buy more RAM to upgrade to '11? 3) I need a new battery ... Is it worth the $$ to buy a new battery, RAM and Microsoft office 2011?

    I have a MacBook Pro from '07 with 1 GB of memory. The battery is shot and my AppleCare has run out. I just upgraded the OS to 10.6.8. But a few questions:
    1 - How do I even check how much memory I have left on this computer?
    2 - How do I check how many battery cycles are left?
    3 - I want to upgrade to Microsoft Office '11 because I don't have Adobe Acrobat to creat pdf's and I need to be able to do this for school... Instead of buying acrobat, I figured I would just upgrade to Office '11 because I can generate pdf's from Word. Roughly how much RAM does Office '11 take up?
    4 - Does Apple still make batteries for this computer (from '07)? How much do they cost?
    5 - How much does 1 more GB of memory cost?
    AND lastly -- is it even worth it to spend the $ on more RAM, a new battery and Office '11?
    Or does it make more sense to just get a new computer entirely? (trying to avoid this).
    ANY help would be sooo appreciated! Thanks.

    1 - How do I even check how much memory I have left on this computer?
    If you're asking how to check to see if you need more RAM, open Activity Monitor and go to the System Memory tab, then compare page outs and page ins.  If page outs is 10% or more of page ins, you probably need more RAM.
    2 - How do I check how many battery cycles are left?
    There's no limit on the number of battery cycles, it's just that the more cycles you've used the more "worn out" your battery gets.  You've got a 4-year-old machine, and if it's still got the original battery, it's probably about time for a replacement battery.  You can check battery health using System Profiler...  look at the Power section under Hardware.
    3 - I want to upgrade to Microsoft Office '11 because I don't have Adobe Acrobat to creat pdf's and I need to be able to do this for school... Instead of buying acrobat, I figured I would just upgrade to Office '11
    You don't need Office 2011 to create PDFs.  Any application capable of printing can create PDFs on a Mac.  Just choose File -> Print, but instead of clicking the Print button in the print dialog, click the PDF button and choose Save As PDF in the menu that appears.
    4 - Does Apple still make batteries for this computer (from '07)? How much do they cost?
    5 - How much does 1 more GB of memory cost?
    I'll "ditto" sig's answers to these.
    AND lastly -- is it even worth it to spend the $ on more RAM, a new battery and Office '11?
    Or does it make more sense to just get a new computer entirely? (trying to avoid this).
    If Office 2004 is still working fine for you, stick with that and don't incur the costs of Office 2011.  As to the RAM, only add more if the test I mentioned above indicates that you need it.  If you buy more RAM when you don't really need it, you won't see much (if any) performance improvement.  That just leaves the battery...  and if the machine is still doing what you need it to do and you don't really need a new machine for anything, you could definitely buy a new battery and get a few more years out of it.
