In Acrobat 11 the measurement tool is accessed by selecting: Tools > Analyze > Measuring Tool
It can be set up to add measurement markups when used or not: Edit > Preferences > Measuring (2D) > Enable Measurement Markup

How do I completely uninstall adobe acrobat pro 9 tial version
after it has expired?  Since this has expired I am having issues with other programs that use Adome A
crobat and the new flash player will not install correctly.

If uninstalling Acrobat normally does not resolve the issue, you better ask in the appropriate Acrobat forum.  Don't forget to mention your OS and any relevant details.
You can continue this topic regarding your problem with Flash Player, but we also need to know your OS, browser, and the exact details of your problem.

  • How do I change Adobe XI pro from trial to purchased

I bought a new laptop.  I purchased an upgrade version of Adobe XI pro.  When I installed Adobe, I accidentally selected trial version instead of purchased and did not enter my serial number.  How do I enter my serial number so that the Adobe shows up as a purchased version?  Thank you.

You just have to enter the serial number in dialog that you get while launching the PSE11. I am attaching a snapshot of the dialog. Just click "Enter Serial Number" you would be propted by a dialog to enter your serial key

  • I have 1 GB RAM on an '07 MacBook Pro. 1) How do I check remaining memory? 2) I have Microsoft office 2004 - do I need to buy more RAM to upgrade to '11? 3) I need a new battery ... Is it worth the $$ to buy a new battery, RAM and Microsoft office 2011?

I have a MacBook Pro from '07 with 1 GB of memory. The battery is shot and my AppleCare has run out. I just upgraded the OS to 10.6.8. But a few questions:
1 - How do I even check how much memory I have left on this computer?
2 - How do I check how many battery cycles are left?
3 - I want to upgrade to Microsoft Office '11 because I don't have Adobe Acrobat to creat pdf's and I need to be able to do this for school... Instead of buying acrobat, I figured I would just upgrade to Office '11 because I can generate pdf's from Word. Roughly how much RAM does Office '11 take up?
4 - Does Apple still make batteries for this computer (from '07)? How much do they cost?
5 - How much does 1 more GB of memory cost?
AND lastly -- is it even worth it to spend the $ on more RAM, a new battery and Office '11?
Or does it make more sense to just get a new computer entirely? (trying to avoid this).
ANY help would be sooo appreciated! Thanks.

1 - How do I even check how much memory I have left on this computer?
If you're asking how to check to see if you need more RAM, open Activity Monitor and go to the System Memory tab, then compare page outs and page ins.  If page outs is 10% or more of page ins, you probably need more RAM.
2 - How do I check how many battery cycles are left?
There's no limit on the number of battery cycles, it's just that the more cycles you've used the more "worn out" your battery gets.  You've got a 4-year-old machine, and if it's still got the original battery, it's probably about time for a replacement battery.  You can check battery health using System Profiler...  look at the Power section under Hardware.
3 - I want to upgrade to Microsoft Office '11 because I don't have Adobe Acrobat to creat pdf's and I need to be able to do this for school... Instead of buying acrobat, I figured I would just upgrade to Office '11
You don't need Office 2011 to create PDFs.  Any application capable of printing can create PDFs on a Mac.  Just choose File -> Print, but instead of clicking the Print button in the print dialog, click the PDF button and choose Save As PDF in the menu that appears.
4 - Does Apple still make batteries for this computer (from '07)? How much do they cost?
5 - How much does 1 more GB of memory cost?
I'll "ditto" sig's answers to these.
AND lastly -- is it even worth it to spend the $ on more RAM, a new battery and Office '11?
Or does it make more sense to just get a new computer entirely? (trying to avoid this).
If Office 2004 is still working fine for you, stick with that and don't incur the costs of Office 2011.  As to the RAM, only add more if the test I mentioned above indicates that you need it.  If you buy more RAM when you don't really need it, you won't see much (if any) performance improvement.  That just leaves the battery...  and if the machine is still doing what you need it to do and you don't really need a new machine for anything, you could definitely buy a new battery and get a few more years out of it.

  • How to check a macbook pro is brandnew or refurbised?

I'm in Viet Nam. I want to buy a macbookpro now but i don't know how to check a macbook pro is brandnew or refurbised. So could you show me? Thank you very much.

Before you purchase the machine, open it at the small store where you've arranged to buy it and make a note of its serial number, which will appear if you choose About This Mac from the Apple menu and click twice on the OS version number in the "About This Mac" window. If that number matches the serial number that appears on the packaging material, that's a good sign. Now open this web page on another computer in the store:
    http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html
Enter the serial number of the MB Pro into that web page to obtain information about its date of production, among other things.

Backup your data.  Your disk/SSD may be failing.
    What has changed lately?
    - Has your disk/SSD filled up recently?
              How much free space?
              Less than 10 GB?
              Less than 20 GB?
    - Did you upgrade OS X recently (for example from 10.8 to 10.9 or 10.9 to 10.9.1)?
    - Have you installed any 3rd-party software recently?
Run Disk Utility (from the Applications  > Utilities folder).
    - Click on the system disk (Macintosh HD) and Verify Disk.
    - Does it report errors or does it finish normally?
    Try an SMC Reset.

  • How do I check the Specs on my Macbook pro ?

How do I check the Specs on my Macbook pro to make sure i have what i ordered? THe last time I wanted the SATA 7200rpm but they sent me the 5400. How do I see this on my mac? can't seem to find it.

Here is something i copied from another forum site that could answer your question-
Look in your "System Profiler", you can find it using Spotlight or looking for it in the Utilities folder, which is in your Applications folder.
This will give you the model number, which you will then have to find online (probably using Google) to find out what speed that particular model number is.
Then again, someone might have an easier answer.
"That's exactly what I did. My MacBook Pro has a Seagate Momentus ST9160823AS Drive in it. Running that model number, it shows a 7200 RPM speed."

As the others have stated, you're on Mountain Lion with 10.8, anything. But you can check your version of the software by going to the apple in the upper left corner of the screen and clicking it and selecting "About This Mac". That will open a box that shows your software version. Once there you can click on "More Info" that will tell you everything about your specific mac configuration.

  • How to change PDF document dimensions - Acrobat Pro 9

    Hi,
I'm trying to figure out how to change the dimensions of my PDF in Acrobat Pro.
The original artwork was created in Illustrator and the final document is primarily for screen use (not print) so was created using pixels (600x665px to be precise). However when the artwork is created into a PDF, when viewed (and printed) in Acrobat, it is rather large and I want to make this smaller.
If anyone can advise on this it'd be much appreciated!
    thanks
    HS

You might play with the Touchup Object tool off the Advanced Editing toolbar.
Use the tool to select the image. Any of the four corners can be "grabbed" and a mouse drag will let you change the space occupied, on the PDF page, by the image. Not a "fine control" but, sometimes, all that's needed.
Or, in Preferences > Touchup category - the associated configuration pane permits selection of an installed image editor.
Now, using the Touchup Object tool's context menu, you can use the "Edit Image..." selection.
Edit the image and return it to the PDF.
    Be well...

It will have been set for the region in which it was purchased.

Once you have set the region in DVD Player five times it cannot be changed. However see tis also:

If you can view a ProRes 4-2-2 video at all, then you either have the independent ProRes422 Playback component installed or the FCP "Pro" video components installed.

Check your "~/Library/QuickTime" folder for your various "Pro" components. If in doubt that you have them all, re-run the FCP installer and it should add any missing components, apps, or utilities.

Helpful Links Regarding Flashback Trojan and Virus Protection
An excellent link to read is Tom Reed's Mac Malware Guide.
A link to a great User Tip about the trojan: Flashback Trojan User Tip.
To check for the trojan: Anti Flashback Trojan 2.0.4.
A Google search can reveal a variety of alternatives on how the remove the trojan should your computer get infected. This can get you started. Or the preferred method is to use Apple's protection tool: Flashback Malware Removal Tool 1.0.
Or, open Software Update. If you do not have the Apple protection software installed it will download and install it via Software Update. If no update appears that means you either already have it installed or it isn't needed for your system. The software is only available for Leopard, Snow Leopard, and Lion versions of OS X.
Also see Apple's article About Flashback malware.
For general anti-virus protection I only recommend using ClamXav.
