How do i check if the new iphone 4 i got is factory unlocked and do an upgrade

hi everyone. i just got a new iphone 4. when i connected to itunes it says that i should upgrade to lastest firmware version.
But am worried if my phone is safe to upgrade.the vendor says i can upgrade it since its a factory unlocked phone.
Can any help me to check if its safe to upgrade.

The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

Is Verizon allowing people to ugrade to the new iPhones early?

Accord to this article Verizon is letting people upgrade to the new iPhones even if they are not currently eligible for an upgrade by adding two years to their current contract. I'm not eligible until November 2015 but if I can upgrade early I will definitely consider it. Does anyone know if this is true or has anyone actually done it?

You read wrong. If your upgrade date is between now and Nov 15th 2014 then yes you can upgrade early. Or if you are within a year of your contract end you can get an upgrade through Edge. but neither applies to you.

You should be able to see two different tabs when setting up the email if you go to Other > Add Mail Account. Once you enter in the email address and password, you should be at the next screen to provide more details about the email as far as incoming and outgoing servers and at the top there will be a blue section to add it in as a POP or IMAP email account. go to itunes preferences, store, uncheck automatic downloads. also when your phone is connected you can click on apps and only check the ones you want on your phone, go down to the bottom right and click apply.

No apps or podcasts from my Mac itunes are on the touch 4G.

You can only sync to one iTunes library but you can manage music and videos among different computer/libraries.
It appears that you are trying to sync with a different library.
- If you want to make the Mac you syncing computer:
--- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by:

--- Restore the iPod from that backup. Note that synced media like apps and music are not in included in the backup.

Unless your carrier doesn't have the required SIM card size, you can get a new SIM card from your carrier. There is usually no charge for this.
If you don't have an Apple iCloud account or if you do being accessed on the iPhone with contacts turned off for over the air syncing, you should be able to transfer contacts from the Address Book app on your Mac via the iTunes sync process. This is selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes followed by a sync.
If you have an iCloud account, you can sync contacts over the air with the Address Book on your Mac. After confirming your contacts are available with your iCloud online address book - checked by logging in with your iCloud account using a browser on your Mac, you can then turn Contacts on for over the air syncing with your iCloud account settings on your iPhone and your contacts will then be available there and kept synced automatically over the air between your iPhone address book, your iCloud online address book, and the Address Book on your Mac without having to sync with iTunes for this.

Hi - I've brought my iphone 5 but cant seem to download my music from my itunes account onto it. I've downloaded the latest version of itunes as i heard this could be a problem but still no joy. The phone tries to sync when i plug it all in to the pc and even has the capacity bar showing about 12gb of audio but there is still nothing downloaded onto the phone.
The only thing i can see that might be causing the problem is that when i go into my itunes account it doesn't show that the iphone 5 is an option is the 'managed device' section but i dont know how i can add the new iphone 5 to this....
Can anyone please advise me on what to do ?

You have 2 solutions:
1 - You can use 2 differents icloud account
2 - You use the same account but you don't sync yours contacts.
You configure that in Settings > icloud
You activate or desactivate what you want.
