Macbook Pro 2010, with OS X Mavericks 10.9.03
Version of flash
14.0.0.125 (updated by the official website "get adobe . com" )
After getting popups from http update4.new-flash-players.us
on some occaision (some video sites as dailymotion and blogs
with advert/commerical videos at the bottom)
and reading about the possibility of the Flashback Trojan,
I have become very paranoid about my flash player.
Although I didn't install it from the update4news-flash website
I have become paranoid about if I have a genuine copy of flash-player installed.
I have followed the instruction on an article from the "cult of mac" to
type in specific commands on the terminal app but found no sign of infection.
How do I double check if the copy I have currently installed onto my mac
and browser is genuine?

Sorry the "pop-ups" wasn't the right word to use.
"re-directing" was the right word, the browser will turn grey in blogs saying that
"this page cannot be displayed, to display you need to install a new version of flashplayer"
(This is not always, just once in a while and I have never had these problems on websites
like Youtube, or my banking websites, google searching etc)
and in Dailymotion the browser will attempt to redirect into the flash-us (which will be then blocked by avast)
( I haven't attempted to use the website)
I have run scripts downloaded from The Safe Mac,

and found no infections, (but as you have said, if they have used a drive-by load into the system I guess it's useless)

I have used Time Machine for the first time to back up my Macbook Air. Macbook Air's iPhoto shows approx 5200 pictures on file.
How can I check that the external hard drive (Time Machine) has all 5200 saved correctly before deleting the photos from the Macbook Air ?

The only way to check a back up is to do a restore of it.
However, why are you deleting your photos from the MBA? If you do they will also be deleted from Time Machine eventually. TM keeps a rolling back up of your machine. It copies and maintains your additions and deletions. Eventually, these photos will be deleted from TM too. It's not an archiving app.

How do I re-install software that came pre-installed on my mac?
I bought my first mac in 2003, in 2004 I bought MS Office: Mac. In 2006 I got another mac, this one (I'm pretty sure but not 100% certain) came with MS Office pre-installed. I'm still using that computer I got in 2006 (writing this message on it right now) and have been having problems with Word and have had no luck with trying to fix it. I recently came across my original installation disk for the version of MS Office I got in 2004. So, when I became frustrated trying to fix Word I just grabbed this old installer and reinstalled office, assuming in that moment that it was the same version I had been using. I got it all installed and working and went to load up my most recent document that I've ben working on and it won't load because it's a docx file. I don't know where else I would have gotten a new version of word, I'm not one for unnecessary updates and updating a word processor is about as unnecessary as it gets. I MUST have had a newer version of word pre-installed on my computer, because any time I've ever tried to open word files from this computer on my older mac the files wouldn't work, so any time I need to do that I either make a PDF or email myself the text.
Anyway, I'm assuming that apple has all my registration info on file and can confirm that I bought the software, can they provide my an installer? My other concern is that this computer was a christmas gift and was purchased by my dad, though I don't know whose name is on any kind of registration that may exist. The problem here is that he died, so I'm concerned that apple won't support my product because the original "owner" is deceased, even though I don't think he ever so much as laid a finger on this computer or even looked at it more than twice after he gave it to me.
What is my best course of action here?

I would have to presume the 2006 Mac was used, and came with Office 2008 on it from the seller. Apple has never offered Office as a bundled purchase, and it is not pre-installed with any Mac.
Since you have the disk for Office 2004, the activation key should be on a sticker on the CD/DVD sleeve. As I recall, anyway. I no longer have my 2004 copy to check. If you have the key, it doesn't matter who it originally belonged to. You can still enter it and activate the software.
Once you have that installed, you can install the XML converter for Office 2004. That will allow you to open from all newer Windows and Mac versions of Office. The only things that won't necessarily convert are features that don't exist in Office 2004, and so can't be translated correctly, or at all.
Microsoft is saying Office 2016 for Mac and Windows should be available for the official release sometime either late summer, or early fall. So hold off purchasing a new version if you can. MS offers to reduced upgrade price for Office. You'd pay full price for Office 2011, and then again for Office 2016.
And just to note. Office 2008 and Office 2011 work fine in Snow Leopard.

I have a customer who is using a Labview wrapper for an IVI driver to create an application to send commands to an LXI instrument. The problem is even the initialize call results in the following error:
Driver Status: (Hex 0xBFFA000A) Check that the library name (VTEXSwitch.dll) and prefix (VTEXSwitch) are correct.
There are no problems communicating with the instrument using a web browser and NI-MAX sees the instrument fine. The customer gets this exact same error when they rename the actual DLL file to something different, which indicates to me that the labview wrapper isn't finding it at all. I've looked everywhere I can think of, but I can't see how Labview is supposed to know the path where it is looking for that DLL.
This same wrapper has worked for a lot of other people. I made sure they had installed the IVI Compliance Package and IVI Shared Components, and tried reinstalling the IVI driver from the manufacturer. The problem is still there. What should I do?

There's a precompilers option within the advanced installation. Haven't installed 8i in awhile, but I'm pretty sure that's what it was called. Don't remember if it was under a development subtree in the installer. The installation config should tell you whether it's installed... or you could just check for the proc executable.

- Installing SAP License (from http://service.sap.com/licensekeys)
- Setup TMS (STMS)
- Import profiles (RZ10)

Your entire second paragraph is so confusing I am going to ignore it.
But I may be able to answer your first and third paragraphs, which seem to address the same question.
I wonder where your iPhone states it was backed up yesterday. I am going to assume that you see this under Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
If that is true, then the backup from yesterday is in iCloud. The one and only way to restore an iCloud backup is to do this on your iPhone:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
That will cause your iPhone to begin a setup process. As part of that process, assuming you enter the same Apple ID you used when you created the iCloud backup, you will be offered the opportunity to restore from it.
