How do i clear a paper jam on an officejet all-in-one e6500n??

The top of the page is stuck under the rollers at the back of the paper and is torn away from the rest of the paper.

You should remove all paper JAMs from the BACK of the printer...
Remove the duplexer or the door from the back of your printer... and pull the paper out through the back.

    Hi Charlene,
To try and resolve the paper jam, please turn off the printer and unplug it, then remove the back panel on the printer, then the gray plastic piece.  Hopefully, you will be able to see the paper that is jammed in the printer and be able to remove it.
Once the gray plastic piece and back panel have been put back on, please plug the printer back in and turn it back on.  If the error persists, the printer will require servicing.  Please call or email us at one of the methods on the Contact Us page to obtain your servicing options.

  • How do I clear a paper jam in an ImageClass d420 if the paper does come out with gentle pulling?

I've got a nasty paper jam in an ImageClass d420. I really don't want to damage this thing. I pulled out the toner and can grip the jammed paper (it grabbed a whole stack of sheets, not just one jammed one). When I pull on any of the paper, it is really firmly in place, and I hear some gear or something engaging as I pull. It feels and sounds like something is going to break if I pull any harder.
I'm starting to consider dis-assembling the printer. I feel like there must be some sort of way to release the tension or put the gears into neutral, but I'm not seeing it in the manual or by poking around inside.
    HELP! :-)

  • Fixing a Paper Jam - HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer

Paper jams occur a lot. Rollers can get dusty and form the paper to crumble. Pages move too quickly and cause a "paper jam".
Using the wrong paper could be an issue. A sensor in the printer can go bad, and make the error occur.
I have a link that will send provide a video that can help jams and paper getting caught up inside the printer.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suiQgoH-8cM
Below is an attachment of some steps, just in case the video isn't enough information.

Paper jam can also cause your carriage to get stuck and will not move over to change the print cartridges out.

  • How do I get rid of a false paper jam notice on officejet Pro 8500 909A?

I called tech support and viewed paper jam video.  Did all the recommended steps however paper jam message continues to be displayed.  There is absolutely no paper jam any where.  Can someone suggest what else I can try to resolve my problem.

Try following all the steps in this doc: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01618077&tmp_task=solveCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc... if you have already done all these steps, try a partial reset by holding the # and 3 button down while uplugging the printer without turning it off.
Wait 30 seconds and then hold the # and 3 button again while plugging the power back in and don't let go of the buttons until the warm up screen appears. If that still won't clear it out do the same reset as before but hold the # and 6 buttons instead of the 3 button and go through the same steps. If this still does not resolve the issue, it is time to call hp total care and get that printer replaced.

  • How to Determine the "Total" Page Count on HP 2575 All-in-one printer?

Looking at how to determine the "Total" Page Count on HP 2575 All-in-one printer?   I've seen directions for other HP printers but can't seem to find any for the HP 2575 All-in-one printer.  I am trying to find approximately how many pages my printer has printed since I've owned it.    Any help is much appreciated.

The manual says you should be able to use the Embedded Web Server to view statistics.

  • Clearing inaccessible paper jam on OfficeJet 8500

After printing no more than 20 pages on my new OfficeJet 8500 Wifi printer, the paper jammed. I have tried to clear the jam but have not yet succeeded.
Here are details of my problem:
My printed page almost finished feeding out from the printer, but the very end of it is stuck between the rollers. This means that - after removing the ADF - I cannot reach the paper at the back of the printer to pull it out backwards. Since the advice is NOT to pull it forwards, what do I do?
No error message displayed. This worried me!
    Any advice please?
Unfortunately the help page I consulted from HP does not explain how to clear the jam I have. (See "HP Officejet Pro 8500 Premier (A909n) and 8500 Wireless (A909g) All-in-One Printers - 'Paper Jam' Message Displays on the All-in-One" http://h200003.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01617494&lang=fr&cc=fr&task...

Is it possible to reach inside with long nose pliers or something like that to pull it out from the back? Maybe work it out sideways? Or can you print something that would go through and hopefully dislodge that piece of paper?

Is your printer the Photosmart 8050?  If so see the troubleshooting page here.  If not please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model?

  • HP OfficeJet All-in-One Paper Jam

I have been given to troubleshoot an OfficeJet 6210 All-in-One Printer/copier/fax machine.  It suffered a paper jam for its troubles.  I had cleared the jam from the machine and checked everywere else I could check freely without cracking it open.  I restarted it and it gave me the same error.  I finally had it do a partial reset to try and fix it.  What it gave me was the same error message.  Short of opening it up with a screwdriver and patience, what could potentially still keep giving me the error message after all steps have been taken to clear it and it failed?

@CAGY, take a look at this HP link on how to clear a jam.

  • How do i disassemble the printer hpofficejet 6210 all in one ( paperjam with glue paper - gluein)

HP officejet 6210 all in one
Paper jam with selff-stick paper. I can not remove it. I tore it apart while trying to remove it, and now I can no teven see the left over self-stick paper. I need to disaasemble the unit to remove this glue paper.
Wher can I find tool or how do I diassemble it so I can remove the rest of the selfsticking paper.
    Thanks
    Charlie

The main part of the output tray is not removable.  There are a few alternatives:  the input tray can be pulled partially open and the printed pages loaded in it - it should not be necessary to remove the input tray completely. The other possibility would be to just print using the automatic duplexer.  If you are printing on plain paper or index paper this should work, it would not be suitable for printing on the back side of photo paper.

  • Paper Jam Issue with OfficeJet Pro 8500 A909a

I have a 6 mo old 8500 all-in one printer that has worked perfectly until today.   It declared a Paper Jam in the middle of a job and I have followed ALL available HP procedures and recommended disassemblies and have found nothing wrong, but cannot get the printer to perform when restarted.   I have also rebooted my computer and checked for driver upgrades.
Attempts to print test pages sometimes results in the take up of a piece of paper from the tray, but no printing results.   I have removed the paper that was not printed upon and repeat the process, which seems to prove that no other paper was in the system, though the indicator continues to show "Paper Jam".  I have also reseated the cartridges, which had no impact.
    Are there any other recommendations?

    Hello Sylamos,
The "save" option grayed out most likely means you have not given your custom paper size a name. Like in the example.
So adding a name in the name dialog should solve the issue. Let me know if it doesn't.
