If you're using Safari: click on Safari to the left of the Apple on top menu bar, then "Preferences", then "Privacy" icon. "Cookies and other website data:" is the first option. You have two options: You can click on "Details" tab which will expand and list websites that "have stored data that can be used to track your browsing. Removing the data may reduce tracking, but may also log you out of websites or change website behavior." Your options are highlighting specific websites and pressing the "Remove" tab or pressing "Remove All" tab following by "Remove Now" appearing. Press this tab until all the sites have been removed. Then press "Done". I routinely follow this process, daily.

Settings > Safari > Clear History (and Clear Cookies And Data if you want to clear them as well).
If you also want to clear your search history (i.e. the words/phrases that you've typed in the search box) then you may also need to close Safari completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar. -
I entered the incorrect password for my home wifi network, and now I can't change it. How do I clear out the wrong password so that I can enter a correct one?
Settings > wi-fi then tap on the little blue arrow next to the network you want to change. You have to tap on the blue arrow and not on the name.
Now at the top tap on "forget this network".
After that, the iPhone will think your home network is a new network and will ask you for the password to connect. -

In Safari, use the open book symbol to go to bookmarks. At the top of the list is "History", tap history and then tap the clear button on the bottom left of the screen. That clears the search history as well.

When there are photos and/or videos in the Camera Roll, the iPhone is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer, and can be imported and deleted from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete as with any other digital camera.
If you use iPhoto on your Mac for photo storage and management and for importing photos from any other digital camera, you can use iPhoto for this. iPhoto includes an option to delete the photos from a digital camera after the import process is complete and the same for the iPhone's Camera Roll. Or you can use the Image Capture application located in your Applications folder for this which includes the same option after the import process is complete. -

How do you clear out a tree control?
I am editing items in a tree control, when the editing is complete, I re-build the tree to represent what I have after the edit. My process of deleting the items one-by-one has worked fine until the tree scrolled off the top, then, when I select the top-left item and delete everything under it, I miss the ones that have scrolled off the top.

When you add a new tab, one can go to the navigation bar and click on the down arrow and get a choice of previous sites. I want to EMPTY that list. I cant out how to do it.
Entries in the location bar drop down list with a yellow (blue on Mac) star at the right end are bookmarks.<br />
You can remove such a bookmarked item that shows in the list if you open that url in a tab and click the yellow star in the location bar.<br />
This will open the "Edit This Bookmark" dialog and you can click the Remove button to remove the bookmark if you want to remove such a bookmarked entry.<br />

I have the previous version of my Firefox from an old computer now located on my C drive. I would like to move the bookmarks, cookies, history and settings to my new Firefox (it is an upgraded version on my new computer). When I click on the File drop down, the import section can not be opened because it is not active. I have dozens of bookmarks that I would like to have loaded in my new Firefox application. I would also like to have my passwords moved to the new Foxfire application. How do I get that to happen?
