How do I clear out cookies?

Just wondering How I clear out cookies. My computer seems to be running slightly slower and I've never learned how to do this on my MacBook Air.
THANKS FOR ANY INFO!

Hi mindy235,
If you're using Safari:  click on Safari to the left of the Apple on top menu bar, then "Preferences", then "Privacy" icon.  "Cookies and other website data:" is the first option.  You have two options:  You can click on "Details" tab which will expand and list websites that "have stored data that can be used to track your browsing.  Removing the data may reduce tracking, but may also log you out of websites or change website behavior."  Your options are highlighting specific websites and pressing the "Remove" tab or pressing "Remove All" tab following by "Remove Now" appearing.  Press this tab until all the sites have been removed.  Then press "Done".  I routinely follow this process, daily.

I entered the incorrect password for my home wifi network, and now I can't change it. How do I clear out the wrong password so that I can enter a correct one?

Settings > wi-fi  then tap on the little blue arrow next to the network you want to change. You have to tap on the blue arrow and not on the name.
Now at the top tap on "forget this network".
After that, the iPhone will think your home network is a new network and will ask you for the password to connect.

  • How do i clear out iCloud?

  • How do I clear out my Camera Roll?

How can I clear out all the photos in my Camera Roll? (Other than manually selecting each one and hitting delete)

When there are photos and/or videos in the Camera Roll, the iPhone is also detected as a digital camera when connected to your computer, and can be imported and deleted from the Camera Roll after the import process is complete as with any other digital camera.
If you use iPhoto on your Mac for photo storage and management and for importing photos from any other digital camera, you can use iPhoto for this. iPhoto includes an option to delete the photos from a digital camera after the import process is complete and the same for the iPhone's Camera Roll. Or you can use the Image Capture application located in your Applications folder for this which includes the same option after the import process is complete.

  • How do you clear out a tree control?

I am editing items in a tree control, when the editing is complete, I re-build the tree to represent what I have after the edit.  My process of deleting the items one-by-one has worked fine until the tree scrolled off the top, then, when I select the top-left item and delete everything under it, I miss the ones that have scrolled off the top.
What's the method/property I should use to clean out a tree in one operation?  (before rebuilding)

Originally I had, "How do you clear out a tree?".  That's why I added "control".

  • How do I clear out a "stuck" app update?

I installed a couple apps from my iTunes library. The app store showed them as needing to be updated, but they kept getting stuck (little circle stops spinning). Tried Xing them them out on the pane in iTunes that shows that screen on the iPad, but never really removed them. How can I fix my little mess?
    Thanks!

Update apps with iTunes (computer) and sync to iPad to clear out the update.

  • Clearing out cookies...

I use Safari and would like to review my cookies and clear out the redundant one.
Is there any way of establishing (maybe at Fnder level or even through some Terminal command) the date a cookie was 'acquired', when it was last used and by which website?

    Hi JP
I had already tried the cookies window in Safari's preferences. I was just overwhelmed by the number of cookies I had accumulated since August...
Tom's made an excellent suggestion - tried it out a few minutes ago and it's better than I expected.
And since you're into sound duplicates, I'm sure you'll get a kick out of:

  • FAQ: How do I clear out my font cache to fix font style and duplicate font style issues?

We have a Script availabe for CS6 beta users who are experiencing particular font related issues.
This script will help by clearing the font cache and will test for corrupted fonts.
This will solve some of the type issues with duplicate font names and some of the other font errors.
This script is to help to find corrupted fonts. The script itself doesn’t solve the problem.
This script doesn’t solve duplicate font name, but clears out your font cach .  It it will solve some duplicate font style name issues such as the one  in the link below.
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4306828#4306828
There is a pdf file explaining how to use the script and what it will do.
    See attached files.

Monica, I know the Normal Character Style in Illustrator must be defined. But my question is about the Normal Paragraph Style, not the Normal Character Style. As Larry just said, in most of my documents, and in my New Document Profiles, these fields in the Normal Paragraph Style are blank (undefined), so I know this is possible. In a few older documents I'm converting, the Normal Paragraph Style has a defunct font, and even though my Normal Character Style is correctly defined with the current font, it's creating some weird behavior.
Larry, it doesn't appear to be the document itself, it just appears to be not knowing what the right keystroke combo is to clear it. Just make a new file from a Document Profile where the Normal Paragraph Style does not define one of those font fields, define a font and/or font size, save, then reopen the paragraph style settings and try to clear any field that has been set. I can't clear it, I can only change the font.

  • How do I clear out files downloaded already?

Help me clear out downloads on adobe ran out of room can I combine files or delete them I do not need them any longer

    Hi helplinda,
To delete files from your Acrobat.com online account, log in to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. Select the files that you no longer want (make sure you've downloaded them first, if you want to save them), and then click Delete at the top of the file list.
If you want to combine files, you'd need to use either Acrobat or Adobe PDF Pack.
    Best,
    Sara

  • How do I clear out a previous image

I had been using the .SetSize 0,0 successfully, until the images got larger then 8192 x 25000 at which time I get not enough memory errors.

You didn't say much about your problem. Clear out the image from what? A specific control? I can tell you that 8192 x 25000 is an enormous amount of graphics to try to load into memory and I'm not surprised you are getting memory errors. Tell us a little more about what you are doing and we may be able to help.

Fron your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
    Click:  Remove All Website Data
    Now empty the cache.
Back to the menu bar, go to Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select:  Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
That will delete temporary internet files as well.
