How do I clear the list of updated apps on iPad?

I recently updated to iOS 7 on my iPad 4. Using the APPS icon, I can see what apps have been updated. However, I cannot find any way to remove them. Will they stay there permanently? Previously if I opened them, the app would be removed from the updated list. Thanks in advance for any help. Not a big fan of iOS 7.

This is by design as Apps can now auto-update this is to allow you to see what was updated, when and what was new for that update.
At present we don't know how long these will stay present for.

You don't. This is part of the Automatic Downloads Update option that comes with iOS 7.
If your apps are updated automatically, then you would have no way of knowing which ones were updated or when. The list you see has dates above the updates to show which ones were updated on what date.

The information is of course stored on the device, but currently thee is no way to get to it. It is unknown whether iOS stores the date info for each connection.
As to whether a program can be written, its likely it can, but unlikely it can be done by anyone other than Apple, as by design, 3rd party Apps are not allowed to core system functions like that so its unlikely any App could list your connection history.
As has been said to remove a single connection from the iPad you need to be in range of it, tap the circle on the right side of the router name, and then tap on Forget this network.

This is an open page in Firefox just like you have been surfing, only it is Severak pages of all ,the files you have uploaded to another computer. In this case an IPad. You type in the IP address and connect; like to your printer, etc. I even removed Fireox yesterday, rebooted and then re installed Firefox. Unfortunately, the Client ID display does not always work correctly on all devices.
Soon, you may notice that other items that were previously displayed with the Client ID may now display just as an IP address......and your new iPad may "switch" from the previous IP address display to the Client ID display.
Then, things may change around again in a week or two. It's a bug that hopefully Apple will fix on the next firmware update.

How do we turn off list of updated apps in iOS 7 App Store?

In previous version of iOS, after you updated apps in the App Store, the Updates tab in the App Store would go blank until there were more updates. But now, the Updates tab shows a list of apps that were updated and it sorts by date. Anytime I go in there, it makes it look like there are a bunch of updates to install. Is there a way to turn this off so that it only shows apps that need updating, not the apps that have been updated already?

I guess I've personally never needed to know when I updated an app or to have a list of apps I've updated. Wouldn't this be a problem in the future when you have years of updates to scroll through? It just seems like that would unnecessarily increase the load time of the Updates tab. It would still be nice to have an option to turn that off or at least make it a collapsible menu item or something.
I could see where it might come in handy if you have the automatic app updates turned on, but I have that turned off since I like to see what changes an app is making before I install it, so I don't need that turned on since I manually update my apps.

How do I clear the Sent mail folder on my ipad?

I have an ipad mini and just noticed that the Sent Mail folder is not being periodically cleared as I assumed it was.
Now I have nearly 18 months worth of Sent messages, and I can't find anyway to clear out those messages other than clicking on each individual message one by one and deleting them. With 18 months worth of messages it will take forever to delete them all one by one.
There must be some way to clear the folder or to mark a range of messages for deletion?

Unfortunately you are correct (and I was wrong - I just looked on my iPad ). I have my mail set up on my computer and manage the retention there.
I looked to see if there is a way (on an iPad) and could not find one.

I'm running OS 10.2
Under 'Recent Items' there is a category called documents and one called Applications. Both of these can be controlled using System Preferences.
But if I have a file and go to 'Save As', I also see a list called 'Recent Places' by clicking on the double up/down arrow. Where do I control and/or delete those? Right now they show a list of folders that are on a removable drive even though the drive is not plugged in. All I get are error messages because the Mac can't find the folder...logical, because the folder only exists on the removable drive.

You might check in several places:
/Home/Library/Favorites/
/Home/Library/Recent Places/ (if the folder exists this is what you want.)

How can we stop the finger pointing? Apps Vs iPad

Here is a WiFi problem I sent the Print Magic HD developer with the hopes of getting Print Magic HD working on my iPad. Check out their response blaming Apple WiFi. My Wifi works well with all other Apps! Whose to blame?
Set up:
Print Magic HD version 1.0
Brother HL-2170W; Rom Version 1.09; Net Rom version 1.06; Ram 32Mb iPad Version 3.2; 14 Gb; Model MB292LL; WiFi address 7C:6D:62:D9:16:E0
Problem – Can’t Print
Symptom: Print Magic HD seems to turn off WiFi after “Print” is pressed.
I purchased the App after using your free Print Magic test App. With the test App, I was able to able to print from my iPad to my Brother HL-2170W WiFi laser printer. It did however, take a number of retries, but I was successful.
I then purchased and installed Print Magic HD App and I'm not having any success.
After confirming my Wifi is live, and the iPad is connected, here is what happens:
1. Launch Print Magic HD
2. Screen displays “looking for printers”. Please note that the iPad WiFi icon is displayed in the tool bar at top.
3. Screen then shows “Brother HL-2170W series in Print Magic tool bar at top. I can observe the iPad WiFi icon is active in the tool bar.
4. I then Press “Print” to print the simple telephone number I previously copied into the “Pasteboard”. I immediately observe that WiFi has been turned off by Print Magic HD as the WiFi icon is no longer displayed.
5. Print Magic HD then quickly displays “Print Failed” error code. Sub text displays “Sorry, an error occurred while printing”. I then press “Ok” to dismiss prompt.
6. Screen continues to display “Printing” with red Cancel button underneath and WiFi remains off. This App just hangs there.
7. When I now check iPad settings, WiFi is indeed turned off.
I can turn WiFi on and repeat this sequence verbatim every time.
If I launch Safari after Print Magic HD error, it detects that WiFi is off and turns in on. Maybe your App should do the same??
Is there a fix for this?

Hello,
I spoke with our developers this morning and this is what I learned.
Print Magic can not, in any way, control your wifi. Even if it was a bug, there is nothing in the app that can make this happen. What they did say was the iPad has had some "sketchy" wifi connections and has been going on and off more with certain applications. This is a universal complaint and has to do with the iPad itself. We are hoping Apple can correct this problem in their next software update. I have noticed at times that my wifi connection is not solid and is listed as "not connected" on my iPad when my PC is working fine.
Also, the test app and HD app have all of the same coding and are exactly the same. Nothing has changed as far as that goes.

I know this will sound like a conspiracy theory, but maybe Apple doesn't want you printing from your iPad... yet. Could be something Apple did so as not to "Steal their Thunder" when they announce the upgrades on the next generation iPad. Just a thought...

Once I made a mistake and typed my password in there which also begins with the same letter. How do I clear the list? Actually, how can I set Firefox so that it doesn't automatically store that information.
