How do I CLEAR the results from that damnable Awesome Bar?
I cannot find a way to clear the results that build up in the "Awesome Bar".
When you clear the history, the awesome bar suggestions should be cleared the next time the cache is refreshed (within a minute, or possibly the next time you start typing in the location bar). The delay is caused by a bug in Firefox: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=567121
This bug is already fixed in our nightly development builds, and the fix will be included in an upcoming release.

Follow these instructions step by step to prepare a Mac for sale:
Step One - Back up your data:
A. If you have any Virtual PCs shut them down. They cannot be in their "fast saved" state. They must be shut down from inside Windows.
B. Clone to an external drive using using Carbon Copy Cloner.
1. Open Carbon Copy Cloner.
2. Select the Source volume from the Select a source drop down menu on the left side.
3. Select the Destination volume from the Select a destination drop down menu on the right
side.
4. Click on the Clone button. If you are prompted about creating a clone of the Recovery HD be
sure to opt for that.
Destination means a freshly erased external backup drive. Source means the internal
startup drive.
Step Two - Prepare the machine for the new buyer:
1. De-authorize the computer in iTunes! De-authorize both iTunes and Audible accounts.
2, Remove any Open Firmware passwords or Firmware passwords.
3. Turn the brightness full up and volume nearly so.
4. Turn off File Vault, if enabled.
5. Disable iCloud, if enabled: See.What to do with iCloud before selling your computer
Step Three - Install a fresh OS:
A. Snow Leopard and earlier versions of OS X
1. Insert the original OS X install CD/DVD that came with your computer.
2. Restart the computer while holding down the C key to boot from the CD/DVD.
3. Select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu; repartition and reformat the internal hard drive.
Optionally, click on the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
4. Install OS X.
5. Upon completion DO NOT restart the computer.
6. Shutdown the computer.
B. Lion and Mountain Lion (if pre-installed on the computer at purchase*)
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because
it is three times faster than wireless.
1. Restart the computer while holding down the COMMAND and R keys until the Mac OS X
Utilities window appears.
2. Select Disk Utility from the Mac OS X Utilities window and click on the Continue button.
3. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click
on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
4. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on the Security button
and set the Zero Data option to one-pass.
5. Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
6. Quit DU and return to the Mac OS X Utilities window.
7. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Install button.
8. Upon completion shutdown the computer.
*If your computer came with Lion or Mountain Lion pre-installed then you are entitled to transfer your license once. If you purchased Lion or Mountain Lion from the App Store then you cannot transfer your license to another party. In the case of the latter you should install the original version of OS X that came with your computer. You need to repartition the hard drive as well as reformat it; this will assure that the Recovery HD partition is removed. See Step Three above. You may verify these requirements by reviewing your OS X Software License. -

You're saying you don't back up your phone regularly? You should ALWAYS back up before updating your phone. That said, try resetting first: hold down the home button and the power button for at least 10-20 seconds until you see the Apple. Hopefully you can then try to perform the update again. Start doing backups if your data is important to you.

SSRS - How to display all the results from a query and then be able to filter the data
Let's say I have a simple query that will return products name, ID, price
SELECT pname,
pID,
price
FROM products
When I display the results in SSRS the user will (without entering any parameters) see something like:
Product Name | ID | Price
xyz 1 $10.00
.zzz 10 $4,000.00
How can I filter my results once they are displayed? For instance, Out of the results the user wants to see only the products where price is between $10 and $3000?

Maybe I did not explain my issue very good.
I want the user to first see all results (without entering the price range) - then if he wants she/he can filter the results by price.
As soon as I add
WHERE price BETWEEN @StartPrice AND @EndPrice
to my SQL query, the user is prompted to enter a price range before seeing any data.

Ok for that what you can do is to set allow null value property for the parameters.
Then set NULL as default value for parameters in parameter properties tab
and make the query as below
WHERE price BETWEEN @StartPrice AND @EndPrice
OR (@StartPrice IS NULL AND @EndPrice IS NULL)
and then report will get executed without waiting for any prompt and user may change values at a later stage and rerun it

How do i put the results from a calculation as the offset value
hi .. i am trying to set the value of the mask offset from the results i get from a calculation.
this is what i am trying to do
i want to get a ROI from an image, so i used thresholding to separate it form the background
then i find the centroid of the image. i then create a mask a little
larger than the ROI to get rid of the background in an unthresholded
image but the position of the mask is at origin(0,0)
i need the centroid of the mask to be the same as the ROI. so i
subtract the x and y values of the ROI centroid with the centroid of
the mask to get the offset. which is done manually. but i want to
do it for ROIs in different positions, so i want to get the value of
the subtraction staight into the VI .. how can i do that..?? i tried
wiring the value of subtraction into the input of the "set offset" node
but it does not work .. can anyone help me ??thanks very muchi managed to get it done...i did not know how about the cluster to element function .. could you comment on my program?
i'm trying to construct a sign language translator. for the
signing. i am using yellow colored gloves with colored finger tips. the
yellow region is to help me detect the position of the gloves during
thresholding.
1st of all .. i do thresholding to separate the ROI from the
background.. then i put a bouding box around the region of interest. is
there any better and easier way to do this??

1-i have created two textfields for the user to enter two names
2-i have created a result button when the user hit it a result will appear
in any case if the user hits the result button the result will appear
even if he does not enter the two names

How can I clear the data from my iphone without powering it on?
So, in an attempt to avoid a $50 charge at the apple store, I decided to replace my screen myself. I've done this plenty of times before without any incident, but this time, some how the battery terminal on the logic board came off with the battery harness, like the soldering broke off. So, since I'm close to the end of my contract, and want to switch phones and carriers, I'm trying to sell my iphone 4 as is, to help cover the cost of a new phone. The only issue is that now that I can't turn the phone on, I can't clear out the memory before I sell it. is there some way that I can do this without the battery, or having to turn it on?

The objective whould be to eventually have the command so I know which server has failed vss writers if possible restart them automatically.

I created a favorites toolbar. When I click on some of the icons, they open in the main window like I expect. Others open in a sidebar which I do not want and cannot even get to full size. How do I get all of them to open in the main window?
Generally, Bookmarks that open in the Sidebar are from links that you clicked on on web sites to add their Bookmark. To change that, right-click on the Bookmarks, opening in the Sidebar, choose "Properties" and un-check "Load this bookmark in the sidebar".

AddVMOption -Duser.country=USyet now my date formats in excel are 'american-style' instead of german. For example 01-DEC-01 so excel does not recognize it as date and therefore I can not simply change the format.
When export to excel will be native to 1.1 perhaps someone can have a look at this 'feature'
