How do i close tabs, it keeps telling me that i must close a tab to open a new tab.
Everytime I try to go to a new site, it tells me, I must close a tab to open up a new one

What is wrong with my computer or is it the program site that I am in? It keeps telling me that I must install Adobe Flash Player but Adobe says it is installed and up dates do not apply. Help because I cannot go further on the site that I am on and it is a secure site that I have used many times in the past.
What browser are you using? So you have a website pulled up and it is a full screen flash player trying to play or is it a area of the page with a player claiming on the player to install flash?

1. Test your Flash Player for versions to make sure nothing happened with that link. If Adobe's Flash Player test through this link says your player is working and up to date then,,,
2. Check your add-ons or extensions, depending on the browser for what they are called. Make sure Flash Player extensions are enabled. That allows it to play within a webpage.
3. Check your Flash Player settings itself. There are settings where you restrict, approve, and so on in different ways. The link I shared with help guide you.
4. Check parental settings. My son plays on this parental control software that always restricts the Flash Player with his games, or videos on Disney, Nick, and other channel websites.
5.I used to have a computer that claimed this all the time. It drove me crazy. I found out for that computer that it did not like an update so I uninstalled and reinstalled flash player. I made sure the Adobe page showing the Flash Player was reinstalled correctly came up, then closed all my browser pages, then reopened to make sure not permission spot popped up to ok for future use.

I m trying to update iTunes 10.5.2 my mac book air but it keeps telling me that it is installed but when i plug my new iPad and iPhone it keeps saying it has only 10.3 iTunes and it needs at least 10.5 version can anyone help?
no that does seem to work it is as if it is not recognising it. it says installed on screen but when plug new ipad and iphone4s in it says new version required but i have ran a system update and it says everything is updated

Tabs in Firefox 7 won't work...I can't open a new tab by clicking on the +.....only way to open a new tab is via the FILE/new tab option...it seems like a lot of the options/buttons are non-pressable??
This issue can be caused by the Ask<i></i>.com toolbar (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

I just recently downloaded Firefox 5.0 and it appears that they have changed or deleted one of my favorite features. It used to be that when I opened a new tab it would displayed like 9 of my most visited sites. Is this still possible with Firefox 5.0 or is it permanently deleted? If it is possible, how do I alter the settings to get this feature back? Thank you.
As far as I know, this has never been a feature of Firefox's core. Do you have an addon such as New Tab JumpStart or New Tab King that gave you this feature in Firefox 4? It's possible that whatever addon gave you this feature before hasn't been updated to work with Firefox 5. If you don't want to wait for that addon to update, you could try either of the addons I mentioned above.

Firefox switches immediately to new tab or the immediate next tab if multiple tabs are open, even when the respective feature is disabled, whenever I open a link by -
1. Right-click > open in new tab
2. Ctrl + click a link
Earlier it did not happen like this. It is really very annoying. Re-installation and clean installation of the latest version did not helped.
And this is happening mainly when I am using Facebook. Earlier it never happened so with Facebook.I don't have the divX plug-in and I still have this problem. Why should plug-ins that are not even triggered by the affected pages alter Firefox's behavior. Feels like bad architecture.

How can I re-set new tab homepages? A website has made itself appear every time I open a new tab.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Harryhello, please install the search reset addon - it will revert the most common customizations those adware programs do in firefox back to the default: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/
in case this doesn't solve the issue please try this: go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named '''user.js''' (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.

How do I keep my browsing window the same size everytime I start Firefox and when I open in new tab
I can't see the the words unless I hit control and plus to view bigger. I used to be able to have the bigger size every time I opened Fire Fox and would not change when I open in new tab, now I click control and plus to make bigger, I click open in new tab and it's small again, every time I open Fire Fox everything is small letters so I have to control and plus all the time.
The size, in pixels, is staying the same. Most of the time, this is the way you should think of image size. Working in inches is only meaningful when you are about to print.
In your example, if the piece you have added is too small, select it and use Transform to make it bigger. This is upsampling, so quality may be compromised. -
How do I get Firefox's home page to open a new tab when searching?
I'm slightly modifying Firefox's about:home page, and I'm trying to get the home page to effectively be its own app tab. In order to do that, I need to make it so that when I search with it, it opens a new tab to view my search results.
I've tried two things so far; I've tried adding the attribute '''target="_blank"''' to the '''<form>''' tag, and I've tried adding the attribute '''onclick="this.form.target='_blank';return true;"''' to the '''<input>''' tag nested inside of the '''<form>''' tag (I'm guessing the latter is JavaScript lol). I also tried an extension "TabSubmit" which didn't work here.
I know how to edit the right page (I'm changing the contents of aboutHome.xhtml in omni.ja), and have already edited the stylesheet slightly (to underline links when hovering over them and adjusting the fading of Mozilla's logo when hovering over it). This is the next change I wanted to make.

Firefox doesn't open a new tab unless I access a random link. How do I fix this?

The setting in Tools > Options > Tabs: "New pages should be opened in": "a new tab/window" is for links that specify a target window to open the link.
That option allows to divert such links to a new tab instead of a new window.
For links that do not specify a target use a middle-click or hold down Ctrl and left-click the link or use the right-click context menu to open the link in a new tab or window.<br />
Left-click a JavaScript link to avoid getting a blank tab.
