Openning my windows laptop for the first time in months, I now see that my personal iTunes account was under a really old email address (which is why I couldn't recall it at work).

Now I have to add that this is rather disappointing as I have some purchases on my old itunes account which I would like to merge into my current iTunes account (which was created due to an oversight). There are several different ways to use two or more iPhones/iPods with one computer. iTunes will recognise each device that you add and they will have each their own individual settings. Moving music to external drive and combining multiple itunes accounts to 1

Some how I have a couple of different itunes accounts. I had itunes before I got an iphone and bought some music that i listened to on my mac. Then i got an ipod and bought music. Then got an iphone and bought more stuff. And then my new iPhone 4. But the music is all on different "accounts" sort of. When I open my itunes I have under "store"

But I can't combine them all together on my current iphone 4, yet I bought all those audio books and music!
I asked at the Apple store and they said move all the music to an external drive then plug in the phone and when it asks if I want to do something or other (sheesh I can't remember it all) say yes and it will make one account, delete some of the music, then move the music that is on the drive into that account.
So I have an external hard drive. I have itunes open. I don't want to delete anything until i'm sure I'm going to have it all on the external drive. And i have no idea what to do next. I thought i could just make a folder on the external drive and drag the music there but thats not working, it won't drag. And I have audio books that i bought but can only listen to on the computer it seems i can't move them to the iphone! What a mess.

I wrote this a bit prematurely. When I got around to syncing my ipod again that contained the games, they reappeared in itunes. Perhaps this will help someone else.

I've enabled her computer and put my Apple ID in and I now have all her music on my phone (thanks to iTunes match) but when I try and **** her phone it ignores all my music. How can I get all my music on her phone? The only way I have managed it is to sign out of her account on the phone and sign in with my ID but that would mean all her purchases would be charged to me etc so this isn't a solution really

Put everything on the computer to which she syncs, and sync them to her iPhone.

I am setting up my wife's mini. We backed up her iPad gen 3 to iCloud. When setting up mini from icloud it askes for passwords for iTunes accounts belonging to son and daughter. Your title says you are restoring from an iCloud backup.
Your post says you are doing an "iCloud installation". Admittedly, I don't know exactly what that means.
Please describe the exact symptom(s) you are observing, and whether whatever activity that is under way is providing evidence of proceeding.

Apps are associated with the iTunes account used when purchasing/downloading the app from the iTunes Store. If you are both using the same iTunes Library for syncing there can only be one copy of the app in the library. When you update an app you need to provide the password for the account associated with the app.
Your options are:
1. Live with having the mix of accounts on your iPad.
2. Separate iTunes libraries for each of you, with your own purchased/downloaded apps.
3. Use only one iTunes account for both of you. This requires redownloading/repurchasing the apps under the one account.
You can see which account is associated to an app by selecting the app in iTunes on a computer and choosing Get Info from the File menu. The details are in the Summary tab.
