How do I combine my 3 pst files

Hi All,
I am hoping to combine the various PST files that I have from 2 different computers now that I have moved them into Outlook for Mac.  It seems that they should do such a thing but not sure where to start or if it is even possible.

Please post Outlook related questions on Microsofts own forums for their Mac products, as Apple Communities only provide support for Apple products and it's Microsofts software you're having issues with:

I don't think so. The only other ID I have is a developer id, and I didn't get that until several months after I got the phone. In addition purchases I made from the App Store onthe phone would sync up with It unes on the Mac meaning it would be the same id.
However I looked at the AppStore on my phone while it was connected to the Mac with iTunes open, and now the balance has changed to the same as the others.

  • How do I combine more than 12 files into one PDF file?

How do I combine more than 12 files into a single PDF? That's why I upgraded to Adobe XI Pro.

    Hi Marshall32,
If you have Acrobat Pro, you can combine more than 12 files by choosing File > Create > Combine Files into a Single PDF. The 12 file limitation is only imposed by Adobe PDF Pack online service. Acrobat itself doesn't have such a limit.
(If you haven't already, you can download Acrobat from here: https://cloud.acrobat.com/acrobat.)

I have saved them on a USB thumb drive but dont know how to move them over to my MBP and save them in my mail file as well as my docs into?
    TIA!

  • How can I convert an outlook pst file to mac mail without using a windows based computer

I recently bought the new iMac as my older Windows based computer crashed with a bad motherboard.  I have been trying to find a way to convert Outlook 2007 pst files to Mac Mail without the need to use a Windows based computer since all I have now is a Mac.  I have the copies of the pst files on my Mac, so I am looking for the most efficient way to convert them to the format that I can then open them in the Mac Mail.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - thanks for the instructions but where do you get the option for Quicktime. If I do File - Export I only get the options for File name, place and size but no option that allows to select quicktime:-(
Have you got any more tips?

  • How do you combine audio and video files?

I've brought in a video file and an audio file, but can find no way to specify that they are a single source that should be compressed together.  The documentation was of no use.  How do you identify video and audio files as being one source?
    Thanks!

Semantics, I suppose.  In any case, you do need to go through Premiere Pro if you want AME to do the job.  There are likely other encoders out there which can perform the muxing, though, if you'd rather not go through PP.

  • How can I combine more than 12 files at a time.

I'm trying to turn a 25 page comic book into a pdf file. However the combine function won't allow me more than 12 files.
    Please help.

    Hi Eddie,
You'll have to combine the documents in groups.  12 pages, then the next 12 pages into 2 combined PDF files.  Then combine all those 2 files plus the last page.

  • How do i migrate outlook email .pst files

Just switched from pc to mac. I need to migrate my .pst outlook email files to mail in mac.
    how do I do that?

The simplest way is to open a MobileMe or Google Apps account and sync the info across the divide.
Almost as simple is LittleMachines O2M which will convert the pst into files that iCal/Address Book and Mail can read.
If you are looking for a free solution, have plenty of time and a tolerance for frustration you can try exporting Outlooks contacts to a txt file, then use one of the free converters to get it into Mbox format and import that into mail, for calendars there are some utilities that claim to be able to do the same for iCal but I have never seen one of them actually work without creating more work tidying up. Emailchemy will move the mail to MacMail very well (but it's not free, cheap)
Unless you know what you are doing and have time and patience to spare choose option 1 (sync) or 2 (O2M), I have tried the free way and am glad that I do not own a firearm.
PS: if your email is Imap or Exchange but not POP it will not need to be exported/imported, connecting to the account will bring it back 'as-was'

  • How do I save my mail .pst files to the hard drive as entire folder or multiple emails at a time?

I've been saving mail in .pst folders in the mail program and now want to simplfy the transfer to hard disk files. When I use the "achive mail" it creates an "mbox" file I cannot open. Using "save as" from the edit drop down menu only allows for one file at a time. Is there a way to save folders or the entire mail contents of a folder in one step?

As far as the collected addresses, look at Preferences -> Composition -> Addressing and either uncheck 'Automatically add outgoing e-mail addresses to my ...' or change the choice to your personal address book.
For backup, you have several options:
    (a) you can manually export the address book to a file (use LDIF instead of CSV, as it is much easier to import later if needed).
    (b) you can have your OS do periodic backups.
    (c) if you have a gmail account, you can use an add-on to TB called gContactSync which will automatically sync your address book to your gmail address book.
    I use both (b) and (c).
Once you deleted the Collected Addresses, did the problem with the quote mark go away?

  • How do I combine/consolidate my MP3 files?

    Dear Mac gurus,
I've got MP3 files scattered all over the place in different folders. I've tried copying, then moving chunks of files but now I've got a bunch of duplicates. Is there a "simple" way to organize all of my MP3 files into one folder once and for all?? (I've got over 5000). I searched this forum but couldn't find a discussion that fit my particular problem
    Thanks in advance....

From a search using the itunes help menu - 'consolidate' is the search term.
*Copying all your iTunes files to one location*
<Depending on how you've imported songs, videos, and other items into iTunes, your library can include items that are located in various places on your computer's hard disk or other locations.
You can make sure that copies of all the files in your iTunes library are in your iTunes Music folder so that, for example, it's easier to move your library to a new computer.
To copy all your iTunes files to your iTunes Music folder:
    Choose Advanced > Consolidate Library.
Any iTunes file located outside the iTunes Music folder remains in its original location, and a copy of it is placed in your iTunes Music folder.
I use the 'keep' and 'copy' functions enabled in iTunes prefs to avoid your problem.>

  • How can I combine 200+ XDP (XML) files into one spreadsheet or database for analysis?

    Hi all,
I've got 200+ XDP files that were created by entering data into a LiveCycle PDF form 200+ times and then exporting the data as XDP 200+ times.
Now, I want to view all the data at once (for example, in an Excel Spreadsheet or database) so I can look for trends in the data or come up with a summary (for example, 180 of 200 responses answered Question 1 'Yes'). The form does have some image fields, but I don't need to see or analyse those fields.
I'm a bit of a newbie. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks!
    - John

I had a similar goal to gather data from a folder full of XDPs into a spreadsheet to track user behaviors, capture commonly entered values, and run reports.
If you are familiar with Python, I highly recommend creating a simple script using Python 2.6 and the elementTree (effbot.org) libraries.
Since I cut my teeth on this project, I found it helpful to break down the script's tasks into individual parts. The material and examples for getting a folder's contents, writing variables in lists, and using elementtree is as terrific as it is scattered in location and diverse in implementation.
    1. Grab an xdp in your directory ( for book in path: )
    2. Parse the xml by using the elementtree iterator
    3. Assign your element's values to variables during iteration
    if element.name == 'dataNode':
         variable = element.text
    4. At the end print your variables with deliminators between each (I used a pipe "|" because commas were commonly used in our forms)
    print "%s|%s|%s|%s|%s" % (currentFileName, variable1, variable2, variable3, variable4)
Once you are happy with the data printed out to your console; and each row corresponds to a xdp, stream the output to a file and import that file into Excel in a CSV-style text import (specifying your deliminator during the import process)
so if your script that does the above is called "xdpGrabber.py", run:
    $ python xdpGrabber.py >> xdpSpreadSheet.txt
    and open xdpSpreadSheet.txt in excel.
There are some gotchas here - repeating nodes can be tricky, and heavily nested or scattered xml structures will add much more complexity to the script.  However, if you are only looking for certain fields that always come in the same order when reading the xdps from top to bottom you can get them using simple "if element.name == 'stuff'" references in the order they appear - as elementtree parses from top to bottom.
If this is appealing to you, I suggest you run one of your sample xdps against the example script given here: http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2003/02/12/py-xml.html
I used Python 2.6 and elementtree on a windows XP laptop.  I would routinely create spreadsheets from 3000+ xdps, each with 50-100KB of data, in under 15 minutes.  I'm guessing the real bottleneck is streaming the output to disk. There isn't much out there that can compete with elementtree for speed reading xml!
If you need some assistance getting started  feel free to reply here or message me for an example script.
    Good luck!

  • How to repair a .pst file?

    Hello,
My colleague's Outlook pst file is corrupted and the file size is more than 17 GB. Scanpst.exe and PST Recovery Software could not recover the file. Is there any other way to repair it?
    Best Regards,
    Ammar Wasif

The only two ways to repair corrupt .pst files are: SCANPST.EXE and a third-party PST recovery software.
I suggest to read the given blog on WordPress:
How to deal with a corrupt PST file of MS Outlook?
By reading this blog, you'll come to know how to use SCANPST.EXE to fix corrupt .pst files. Other than SCANPST.EXE there is one more solution to repair corrupt .pst files, which is PST repair software. You can search some advanced third-party PST repair
    or recovery software.
    Thanks.
