Don’t use .png format for print. It’s not meant for that and can’t have an embedded profile for colour conversion.
So conversion from RGB to CMYK will be pretty random and probably not match your expectations.
You should either convert the file to CMYK yourself (using a suitable colour management setup for the printing process in question) or else supply an RGB format that supports colour profiles. .Jpg, .psd, .tif, .pdf, .eps are o.k. but not .png.

My problem is that the audio works fine on my computer on Safari, but gets cut off on Flock and Firefox. Would a different audio file be more universal to browsers? Or is this just an overload problem? Or should I compress the audio file - its 4MB?

The audio file I see is 745 Kb, which is still a little large for a file being forced on your visitors. You could reduce the sample rate from 44100Hz and/or the bitrate from 128 kb/s.
Is that Jimmy Buffet? Do you have clearance/license to use the music?
You've also got some odd slicing of your images. More judicious use of transparent GIF or PNG files may be useful.

Hi. I am new to Power Point. I spent all day making a presentation, but I was using scanned images and digital images, which I know now are very large. The 2007 version seemed to have a "compress pictures" button on the tools menu. On the 2008 version, there is no tools menu and no compress pictures button. (There is one actually in the save as menu but it doesn't compress the file at all!)
I am at a complete loss and very frustrated. I am terrible with computers. Can anyone please give me advice on what to do to solve this problem? I need it for an interview Thur!

..followed the instructions and nothing happened. Tried to leave a scathing reply about nothing happening, was asked to sign up to MSN, stopped that process when I saw that I was giving the right to send me promotional emails... yuk!

I am trying to email a slideshow I just created in iPhoto. My email won't accept the file because it is too large. I tried to compress by right clicking on the file in the Finder application. It gives me the option to compress it so I said yes. It appears to have compressed it but it is still the same size and I can't email it. What am I doing wrong? What do I need to do this? I know people compress files all the time to send them.

You didn't say how long the slideshow is.
FCPX has a preset which, at its smallest, downsizes the resolution to 240p. But a very long video might still not be small enough.
So how long is it?

MP4 is a container format. The video inside (which is probably what you're talking about) is already compressed. If the compression is insufficient, you change codecs or parameters (eg, size). If you're trying to upload it to YouTube, than you need to convert it to a different container format, Flash Video; you should convert to .f4v, not .flv. Either way, the quality of the video will be affected.

Use the Export menu option.
Choose JPEG and there is a slider for compression (quality).

Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
If your photos are too large change the settings on your camera to take photos at a lower quality. But remember that you will be reducing the quality of the images.
Other than that, you will need to edit the photos in a photo editor prior to importing to iPhoto.
If disk space is an issue, you know that you can run an entire Library from an external disk?

how do u compress a quicktime file without shortening tha video, i wanna post a video on myspace/youtube but file is like 23 secs too long, and was wondering if it was at all possible to compress tha video. seeing as youtube has vids up to 10 mins, mine is 5 min 23 secs, yet is too large to upload
