How do I configure rediffmail account to my iPad 2?

I have purchased an iPad 2 recently and want to configure my rediffmail account on it, have tried putting pop details but could not configure the same, any assistance?

You can try contacting iTunes support, but the terms of the iTunes store state that movies are a one time download. If you live in the U.K. then the feature is not available to you. That is why you don't see the tab for movies in the Purchased tab in iTunes. Having the receipts to prove that you bought the movies doesn't matter. The terms of the store are still what they are.
However .... you are certainly free to contact iTunes and see what they see. Give it a try.

If the iCloud account you are trying to delete is old ID that was later updated to change it to your current ID, you can go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now, if desired, you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Are you talking about changing the Apple ID used for purchases in iTunes? If so go to 'Settings->iTunes & App Store-> then 'tap' on the Apple ID that appears and click Sign Out on menu that appears. You can now login with a different Apple ID.

How do I configure an account just for SMTP in Mail?

I can't see how you can set up accounts manually in Mail any longer. I want to set up an account allowing me to use a particular smtp server to send messages from my University email address. The University concerned uses Exchange (grrr) and all the new Mail seems to allow me to do is add a "complete" Mail account - and it auto-configures as an Exchange account.
Since setting up server side filtering is such a pain on Exchange (all I have is a very kludgy web interface) the only practical thing seems to be to forward all my messages to gmail which has a decent web interface. So far so good - perhaps there is a minutes delay but I can see all my messages nicely organised on all my devices. Trouble is I need to be able to send messages from my Universty address. I don't want to see all the clutter in my Inbox of the unfiltered messages on the exchange server.
Any solutions would be gratefully received. If I could get Mail to connect to the Exchange server via IMAP then I could unsubscribe to all folders and set up one server side rule to move messages to a folder other than the Inbox before forwarding to gmail.

I've changed the Exchange server to forward to gmail and also move the message to a Redirected Mail folder. Now my Inbox is uncluttered. Well its not ideal - still connecting to the Exchange server via Exchange protocols rather than IMAP - so I can't unsubscribe to all the folders.

I've have done server installation and the only way to access the server for a user is to use SSH. The user accounts are set up so they must cahnge password efter 30 days and they should get a warning five days before the password expires.
The problem is that the warning is never shown in the SSH window,
How can I configure so it possible to get a warning before the password expires.

If your using SSH1 you need to have the following set:
PasswordExpireWarningDays 7
the 7 is the number of days before it starts to warn you. If this has been set to 0, then password expiry warning is suppressed.

How to organize/configure email accounts on iMac

I'm a brand new Mac user, and I really would appreciate some opinions on how to efficiently organize/configure my email accounts.
-previously on Windows XP at home and work, I had an 'office email' address and and a family email address at home that I could access from both computers Iie: all mail went to both locations off the server). Now, I have the iMac at home with a subscription to MobileMe (which I also find a little confusing), the office laptop on Windows and I will have an iPhone in about a week.
My thinking is that I would like to be able to access both work and home emails on the iPhone, and now keep the home and work computers separate. Will this create too much redundancy on the iPhone? I'm just now sure how to best set this up, so I'm wondering what you other users out there do. Also not sure if MobileMe would be useful or best suited for this.

Since you already have Mobile Me, you can keep all your mail "there" (in the "cloud" as they say -out there on Apple's servers) and access it from any of your devices / computers, or any web browser on any computer at any time.
You don't need to "keep" your mail in any once place. Let Apple handle that, you can send & receive from your iMac, your iPhone, wherever. All your devices / computers will "sync up" with Apple's Mobile Me servers and keep everything up to date for you.
Also, if you have exiting accounts that you don't want to stop using, you can use Mail on your iMac and Mail on the iPhone to send & receive from any POP or IMAP mail account (I suggest IMAP -it's the kind that syncs mail where POP just downloads copies to whatever computer you happen to be on). You just need the appropriate server / login information.
For example, I have 4 email accounts for various reasons. 2 Gmail, 1 Mobile Me, and 1 on a domain name I bought (myname.com). ALL that mail is accessible on my iMac, my MacBook and my iPhone at any time.

Thank you for your advice. I followed your directions, but came up with the same results. However, I did discover that whenever I open up the iPhoto Library that is already existing on my MacBook a certain set of pictures shows up. But then when I open up the iPhoto Library from the Hard drive another set of pictures shows up. BUT not ALL of my pictures are showing up on the iPhoto Library from the hard drive. At least the last two years of pictures are not showing up?! Actually, it appears that all the pictures are there from when I started using iPhoto about 5 years ago up until around the time that I got my iMac desktop computer and started using that (2 years ago). I have noticed that more recent videos I have made are showing up in a folder on the hard drive, but will not appear when I open up iMovie?! Any ideas on how to access my pictures from the last 2 years off of the hard drive???
