How do I configure TC and Apple TV?

Hi, I just installed my Time Capsule and managed to make it work as a router, using my previous network and only by WiFi connection (it is not hooked up by ethernet). Now, TM wont find my TC... I have rebooted my Mac several times to no use. Also I had an Apple TV installed and now it wont recognize my network saying there is an error (although password and network name are ok) ... my time capsule is a little bit old, the 1T version, could that be it? Pls help me!

What is the make & model of the wireless router that the TC has been "connected" to by wireless?
Please provide the following settings, from the AirPort Utility in Manual Setup mode, on your TC:
From the AirPort > Wireless tab

Hello SBS fans,
we have a customer with SBS2011 and exchange. The server email is setup for Exchange Online Protection.
It passes the Remote Connectivity Analyzer for inbound and outbound email. It shows a warning for the spf, saying it cannot find the spf record, BUT MXtool box passes everything associated with their domain name, including the spf record.
They are now getting some bounced email from yahoo servers, referencing this ip
65.55.169.249, which is a valid Microsoft ip.
I checked the bounce back email header carefully, and found a reference to an internal ip, 192.168.11.14, which just happens to be the ip of the user's desk PC!! - NOT the local addr of the sbs2011 server (which should not be there anyway)
I will guess that there is an incorrect setting in one or both of the hub transports? There is a correct smart host connector.
I am no longer sure about the other connectors!
Any ideas on this?

some of my songs and music videos won't sync from my new computer to the ipod. message reads that i need to authorize this computer to sync to the ipod and i cannot remember my old password from the old apple id or email that pops up in the authorization box, i was able to do it for all my other songs, especially the most recent purchases but cannot for 19 (4 being music videos) what should i do?

How do you configure QuickVPN and a RV120W router?

I am extremely frustrated trying to get my new RV120W to create a VPN connection. The router's firmware is 1.0.1.3. The version of QuickVPN is 1.4.0.5.
The only success I have had so far was by downloading the Greenbow Client and following their installation guide for the RV120W. I was then able to open a tunnel using Preshared Key authorization. They did not have any instructions on how to utilize a Certificate.
I assume that QuickVPN requires a certificate but does not recognize one downloaded from the router using the download certificate option. OpenSSL and microsoft recognize the downloaded certificate as being valid but QuickVPN keeps saying that there is no certificate on my computer.

I was able to create a self-signed certificate which I uploaded to the router along with my CA certificate. The router seemed to accept these certificates as valid and QuickVPN quit complaining about no certificate when my self-signed certificate was present in the QucikVPN Client folder.

There are no messages in the router log that indicate that any sort of connection was even attempted.
My IKE and VPN Policies are using the default values for Encrytpion and Authorization.
However, I still cannot get QuckVPN to connect. Is there some document or procedure published that in a manner similar to the excellent instructions that Greenbow has published, that spells out what options and specifications must be setup on the router in order for QuickVPN to connect?
Is it possible to use the Windows VPN client? If so, what parameters must be specifed?

It falls under the Small Business class of devices.

Read the steps carefully as the order in which you follow them is critical. Note that you can do this only when creating a new Apple ID. You cannot use an existing ID.
You will of course not be able to get anything other than the free apps without entering in some sort of payment method (credit card, prepaid iTunes card, gift certificate, etc.)

iSync doesn't sync with any Blackberry devices, so you'll have to use third-party software such as *PocketMac for Blackberry* or *The Missing Sync for Blackberry*.
Depending on which of those you choose to use, the support pages of the relevant developers web-site would be the best place to get advice on the setup of those products.

There is no transfer of ownership per se.
Restore the iPad with iTunes as a new iPad if your friend did not do this prior to the sale.

How would you configure ports and IPs for FMS 4.5 to allow RTMFP streaming across the Internet?

Basically I've got an AS3 app set up that allows video chats between n number of parties, using RTMFP. The problem is that when I tried to connect a computer from across the Internet, as opposed to our intranet, suddenly it couldn't connect at all to RTMFP for that app (though it was able to succeed in using an RTMP fallback that was in there).
So after hunting around, I got the network administrator to supposedly open up 1935-1960 UDP for outbound traffic on the external IP for the FMS's server (same server as the AS3 app), and he apparently opened them up for inbound traffic as well. I also went into Adaptor.xml and changed this element:
<HostPort>:19350-19360</HostPort>
to say this:
<HostPort public="XX.XX.XXX.XXX:19350-19360">:19350-19360</HostPort>
where XX.XX.XXX.XXX is the external IP for that computer. At this point in time though, even though computers across the Internet are able to connect through RTMFP, the video/audio streams aren't getting through at all across the Internet. What's more is that even on our intranet, there are one-way versions of that problem now.
Network administration is not my strong suit, in all honesty. Where would I need to start looking in order to solve this problem? Thanks!

Found the answer to the problem. It was something fairly specific to our internal network. For anyone else who runs into something like this, use cc.rtmfp.net on each client computer and refer to stuff described at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashmediaserver/configadmin/WSdb9a8c2ed4c02d261d76cb3412a40a4 90be-8000.html#WSec225f632fa008755a148c52131fca3d386-7ffe, especially under "Understanding the RTMFP Connectivity test".

How to correctly configure AE to utilize external SSD and Fusion drive

OK, so I think I'm set up to succeed with the hardware I have now, but I want to make sure I'm configuring my projects and AE to utilize my setup correctly.
Specs:
iMac
32 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 RAM (8x4)
1 TB Fusion drive
3.5 GHz Intel Core i7
256 GB Thunderbolt SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M
AE CS6
So I see comments around here about separating out footage from rendered output and the cache, but I'm afraid I may need a little more handholding to be confident. With this setup, how would you configure AE and your project (in terms of disk cache location, rendered output location, and footage files location)?
Currently my footage and output are in the same folder on my Fusion drive, while my disk cache is on my external SSD.
Is there another way or additional considerations I should take into account to maximize the speed and efficiency of my AE editing?

There are a couple of issues in play. Read-write speeds on SSD's are MUCH faster than hard drives. SSD's don't suffer from physical wear & tear as hard drives do, either. You'll most likely see a performance increase by putting footage files & renders from AE on the SSD along with the cache.
Hence the earlier admonition about keeping the SSD cleaned off -- that baby could fill up fast after a few projects! For archiving AE projects & media files, use a hard drive, and consider the SSD as a sort of workhorse rather than a storage unit. That is, of course, until SSD's become price-competitive with hard drives. Until that pont, 256 gigs should serve you well with a little housekeeping now and then.

How do I configure the settings on my MBP and Apple TV so it will stream my Netflix movies from my MBP to the TV Screen?]

I bought a new Apple TV 3rd Gen.(which is currently updated) so I could stream the Netflix movies on my MacBook Pro Computer running Yosemite, onto my TV Screen. However, if I configure the settings on my Computer and Apple TV so that everything on my Desktop is displayed on the TV Screen, then Netflix can't even get the movie on my MBP open. It just keeps spinning until I get an error message about not being able to use Mirroring or Air Play if I want to stream my movie to the TV. So, when I switched the settings so that all mirroring and Air Play options were unchecked and selected all the streaming options using the internet. Then the Netflix movie would open up quick and easy, but there was nothing on the TV Screen.
I also was never able to Pair my Apple TV with my Bluetooth.(If they;re even supposed to be Paired, but something I read implied they should be Paired.f) My MBP Bluetooth discovered the Apple TV immediately and issued a Pairing Number to enter in the Bluethooth's setting for the Apple TV, but the Apple TV Bluetooth just kept spinning. I don't know if that is part of the problem or not, since it wasn't mentioned in any documentation I read.
Also, when I was digging for information on the browser, going to Netflix Website and Apple TV's information at apple.com, I did come across a few links while searching the browser for any answers to my questions, that said I needed to Activate my Netflix Account for streaming by finding my Apple TVs activation code and then enter it on Netflix's site in my Netflix account. And other's mentioned a registration code from my Apple TV needed to be entered to activate the "streaming" of Netflix movie content. And again, I've searched for hours and hours trying to find out where or how I could find the two codes, but never had any success. So, I have exhausted all avenues I can think of and with no luck, and I'm hoping my wonderful Apple Community can help me out or get me heading in the right direction. Thanks, RVAF

There is a native Netflix app on Apple TV. If you are attempting to use a VPN via MBP then that is not supported.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately, a number of users appear to have encountered this problem. Some of these users have reported that the problem just disappears the following day or shortly after. Other users have found various other solutions to this problem.
Firstly, are you receiving any date and time errors when you turn on your Apple TV?
Check that you are properly connected to the Internet, by ensuring that you have a proper IP address and not one starting with 169. Also check that your location for the iTunes Store is set correctly, if so you might try changing it and then changing it back.
If the problem persists try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds, or resetting it using the reset option under general. You should also try restarting your router, or if this doesn't work you might like to try a restore.

A blank drive needs to be formatted first, you do that hold c boot (or hold option key boot) from the 10.6 install disk (or Lion USB)
