How do I configure the custom external editor to work with Premiere Elements 13

Situation
I own Lightroom 5.6 and I'm experienced. I've just bought Premiere Elements 13 and I'm a video-editing virgin (be gentle with me). I've spent a day experimenting, reading, watching videos, I've tried asking my question in Premiere Elements forum, and I'm still stuck (i.e. I've tried reasonably hard to solve my own problem).
Problem
I've tried to set up the custom external editor in Lightroom 5 to send photos to Premiere Elements, so that I can incorporate images into movies. Having set it up, when I use it by selecting Photo/Edit In/Premiere Elements 13/, there is an exciting lull as a copy of the image is created and appears in LR, then Premiere Elements launches, then what??? There is no clue as to what has happened to the image regarding its import into Premiere Elements 13. It doesn't appear on the screen, it doesn't appear in the Organizer, it's no-where to be seen, other than in LR!

Can anyone tell me:
1. Is it possible to use Premiere Elements as an external editor in LR5 ?
2. What are the precise settings for each field (I've played with the various field options but obviously haven't yet found the right combination)?
3. If I configure it correctly, what does good look like: what should I expect to see happen in Premiere Elements when I squirt photos over from LR5 via the 'Edit In' option in LR5?
I don't know if this is relevant: MacBook Pro 16GB 2.8Ghz i7, 750GB SSD (i.e. plenty of space, plenty of horsepower), OS X 10.9.5
I'm hoping the answer isn't 'sorry, it can't be done' because if it is possible, it would be a real contribution to my video editing workflow.

You don't have to buy an Apple keyboard, but you probably need at least to buy a keyboard that connects via proper USB instead of through some Windoze-world adapter, which probably requires a driver that's not available for the Mac OS.
The Apple Bluetooth KB and Magic Trackpad make a fabulous combination for use with any MacBook Pro that spends a lot of time in clamshell mode, because the trackpad works exactly like the built-in trackpad. So there's no transition adjustment to make when you pack up your MBP and go portable with it.

I do not have Lightroom 5 or other version of it. I did do some work on an earlier version tryout of it.
And, I believe now as then, that the answer to your question is No. Bottom line, if there is integration
to be found between Lightroom, it is between Photoshop Elements and the Elements Organizer, not the Premiere Elements Editor.

You don't. Since you have an Intel Mac, buy a Mac OS X 10.6 DVD from the online Apple Store.

How do I change the main external editor from PS CC to PS 6?

I put a trial version of PS CC on my computer and Lightroom 4 has changed the main external editor to the CC trial version. I don't want this to happen and I don't want PS6 to be an "Additional External Editor." I want the main editor to be PS6 at all times but I cannot seem to change this.
Is this possible or is the only solution to get rid of the trial version of PS CC? If I trash the trial version of PS will Lightroom 4 automatically "find" PS6 again.

I also tried opening Bridge’s Preferences> File Type Associations and clicking the Reset to Default Applications button. Then see Photoshop CC 2014 listed next to all basic image formats. but did not work

Always good to give the computer operating system involved in case any computer specific details needed to be included. But here is your
generalized yet specific answer for Premiere Elements 12 and increasing the volume of a video clip.
If you are in the Expert workspace...
a. click and drag upward the orange band that runs horizontally through the middle of the audio clip.
or
b. go to Adjust Tab/Adjustments Palette/ Volume Panel expanded on move the volume slide toward +6 dB.
0 db does not represent no sound. It represents the volume of the sound when it was recorded. 0 to +6 dB increases the sound above the recording level; 0 to infinity symbol decreases the sound below the recording level, finally to muted sound.

Cannot get Aperture External Editor to work with CS2

Hi,
I've been trying to get Aperture to work with CS2 as the External Editor. After setting the Aperture prefs and trying it out, CS2 opens, but goes into an eternal wait state without the picture ever showing up. After this happens, CS2 no longer works correctly by itself, even after a restart. It again goes into an eternal wait state. Reloading CS2 from scratch makes it work OK. I tried again, but alas trying to get CS2 hooked up to Aperture again repeated the problem and I had to reload CS2 yet again to get it working. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong or how to get this feature working.

Insert your Snow Leopard disk, when you are in Windows 7. Install the Bootcamp 3.0 drivers.
Then restart your computer into Windows 7 and apply the Bootcamp 3.1 update.
Then, you can try again running Starcraft 2 beta. However, you can not be sure that this beta version
will be running.

My question is, why do you think Thermocouples are not transducers? In the application with NI 435x, thermocouples are considered transducers just like thermistors, etc.

How can I get the keyboard program InKey to work with InDesign?

I use InKey to type special characters, particularly underlined vowels, for another language. This has worked fine in Microsoft Word with most Unicode fonts. However in InDesign, the underlines do not line up under the letter; or, more commonly, they just display as a pink space or box after the letter. Simply using the Underline format on these letters is not sufficient to be able to check their spelling.

Anyhow: your sample font was Times New Roman. If you can't see the combining glyphs, then you're using an out-of-date version of the font, or something else is wrong. . Did you maybe start your work on a contemporary version of Word in WIndows, and now you've shifted to using a Mac with an older version of Office? THere are plenty of nulls in TNR (which are usually codepoints not in Unicode, usually a sign of some kind of hacky workaround on the part ofthe font designer). There should be a real combining macron below right about here, in between the crazy upper Latin and the Greek caps :
So I'd want to know: what font are you using for this? If not TNR, then I'd suggest Gentium. I might even suggest dropping TNR for Gentium. Judging by your screen name, you may well already be aware of SIL. If not - oh hey, they make fonts for people who are in your shoes! Go check 'em out. The fonts are free, and pretty reliable. And Gentium may already have a precomposed with-line-below glyph for your typesetting needs.
The Kerning dropdown lets you adjust the spacing between letters in a letter-by-letter way. Selecting all of your text and picking "Metrics" is the way to go here - unless you are a designer who thinks that the capital D is way too far away from the lowercase i, and want to tweak the kerning manually. "Optical" is for large font sizes where body-text-style kerning is too spacious. Avoid using it at small font sizes.

Photoshop boots up in 64 bit. There is no option to open in 32 bit unter photoshop app, get info dialog box. Only "prevent app nap". When I change to RGB 8 bit. nothing changes. The filter does not show at all. It is not greyed out. When using Finder, the lighting filter seems to be there in the plug-ins folder. Please help. Thank you.
