How do I connect my external controller?

Hello. I recently purchased a SteelSeries GC3 controller mainly to use for playing emulator games (Dolphin Emulator) on my Macbook Pro (Retina). However, after hours of trying to get the controller to work I have had no success. When I plug it into my computer it lights up showing that the computer recognizes it but it won't recognize it on any program. Well actually, the first time I plugged it in it was able to recognize the buttons when programming their comands for the emulator but never worked in the actual game itself. Now it wont even recognize when programming. I even downloaded the Joystick Mapper for $5 from the app store because I was told it would fix my issue but had no success. Please help me!

Julian727,
the SteelSeries Web site only offers Windows device drivers for the 3GC controller, so I’m not sure if they claim that it has OS X support.
Have you tried the USB Overdrive driver, to see if that will allow you to use your 3GC controller with your MacBook Pro?

  • How do I connect my external hard drive with all of my digital media to my Apple TV network and make it accessable 24/7?

How do I connect my external hard drive with all of my digital media to my Apple TV network and make it accessable 24/7?  I have the latest Apple TV, ipads, iPhones as well as a solid HP Windows machine all on my home network.  Is there a way that I can connect my hard drive to my receiver or Apple TV directly so that the digital media is available on my network 24/7 rather than have it connected to my computer and available through Home Share which never works anyway??

  • Hp dv6 1355dx laptop - how do I connect 2 external monitors?

I have a HP dv6 1355dx laptop Entertainment PC.  How do I connect 2 external monitors (both have VGA cables) and neither one has HDMI connectors.  My laptop has only 1 VGA connector, so I can display my laptop video and 1 of the external monitors.
Any help would get greatly appreciated.  I am even willing to buy a docking station or port replicator.

    Hi,
Docking station or port replicator won't solve the problem because of your internal graphics card. You need something which is similar to the following products:
        http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/products/gxm/
or USB to 2 VGA monitors but very hard to find (normally you can only get 1 VGA and 1 other, not both VGA's).

  • TS2634 How do I connect an external hard drive to ipad4

How do I connect an external hard drive to ipad4

You can google the Seagate GoFlex which is a hard drive that has a wireless transmitter you can use to stream content from your drive to your iPad. There's also the WiDrive which is another wireless hard drive
In a lot of cases you do need to research deep. The iPad does not have a traditional file manager like computers, so the functionality of external or extra drives is very limited, often limited to whatever the app associated with the drive allows.
it's not a case of just plugging it in and having hundreds of gigs at your disposal to read from and write to at will.

  • Can't connect my external controller

I've messed around with AA3 and ableton with midi and vst's. My problem is, i cant play the vst's with my external controller (Casio key board with midi out puts on the back). I'm using somthing called Midisport uno 1x1 to connect my keyboard to my computer. It works fine in ableton but not in AA3. I have followed the instructions on setting up a midi track and vst's. I get NI Massive all set up. I have set my inputs to the the Midisport but still i get no response when i hit the keys. Any ideas?
    Thanks

You say you've followed the instructions on setting up MIDI and VSTis.  Where did you find these instructions?  The AA3 manual is not altogether helpful!
These two topics from the AudioMasters forum are the ones I would suggest you start with: http://www.audiomastersforum.net/amforum/index.php/topic,6548.0.html  http://www.audiomastersforum.net/amforum/index.php/topic,7400.0.html
Between them they cover just about everything you need to know about setting up AA3 and MIDI.  However, you do need to remember that the MIDI implementation in AA3 is pretty rudimentary, to say the least and apparently is going to be dropped for AA4.

  • How do I connect an external bluetooth keyboard to my stream 7

I purchased a stream 7 a couple of months ago.  connected an external bluetooth keyboard to it.  now the external keyboard will not connect.  When I search for bluetooth devices, nothing shows up.  sometimes the stream 7 will pick up my fire on the other side of the house but not the keyboard that is right beside it.  Is there a setting that I have wrong?

Hello kutou, There could be one of several things wrong for the bluetooth keyboard to not be recognized. It could be the bluetooth drivers need reinstalling or there could be something wrong with the keyboard itself. You did check for bad batteries I assume? Here is a link to some troubleshooting info from Microsoft that you could try first.Troubleshoot problems with Bluetooth enabled devices If that does not work, here is a video on how to uninstall and reinstall the bluetooth driver.▶ How To Fix Bluetooth Not Working In Windows 8.1 - YouTube Here is the download for the bluetooth driver if needed. Its the same for the Stream 7 5701 and 5709 models.http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp70001-70500/sp70340.exe Let me know how it turns out.

  • How Can I Connect 2 External Display Monitors to a MacBook Pro? Help

I want to know if I can (and How to) connect 2 external display monitors to a MacBook Pro... late 2006 & the new Unibody MBP.
    I'll appreciate

Requires additional hardware - the Matrox DualHead2Go. For the late 2006, you'd need the DualHead2Go Digital Edition, and for the unibody you'd need the DualHead2Go DP Edition, with appropriate cabling (and a DVI-to-VGA adapter for the late 2006 MBP).

I plugged in my WD external hard drive into my Airport Extreme via the USB port.  The hard drive will not show up in the disk section in the airport utility... How do I hook an external hard drive up to the airport extreme?  I have tried 2 different WD hard drives.  I must be missing something!!!
    Thanks!

To be recognized by the AirPort for sharing, the WD HDD has to be formatted in either HFS+ (ideal) or FAT32. The easiest way to format the HDD is to use the Disk Utility in OS X.

  • How do i connect three external monitors to a macbook pro?

How do I connect three extrenal monitors to my Macbook Pro?

I have a USB to DVI adapter from kensington. I use to use it to power at 14" display.Moving windows around had some tearing and lag. Typing lagged, but it was use-able. It was fine for displaying diffrent stats. The OS treated it as it would any additional display.
But I found it undesirable for any thing tha requires lots dragging and clicking.
Every so often the device would lock up. At witch point the computer would get stuck trying to detect the USB display. I would have to unplug the adapter, cycle the power on the adapter. And then it would be good for a couple more months.
Also some times after a reboot, the adapter would stop working. I would have to unplug it, and login, and then plug it back in.
Coping file to my USB 2 harddrive seemed to cause more lag to the USB to Video Adapter.

  • How do I connect an external hard drive to iPad 3?

    Hi
I was was wondering if it is possible to connect an external Hard drive to iPad 3!  I like to watch movies on my iPad3 and 64 GB cannot hold big files.
    Thanks

There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.
    Another option:
Expand your iPad's storage capacity with HyperDrive

  • How do I connect an external hard drive to an airport?

Here what's going on. I have an old aiport, Iomega external hard drive and a Netgear N router. My goal is so connect the external hard drive to the airport via the USB port so I can access my photos through the network. I have a Mac Book pro with a full hard drive and a PC laptop. The Netgear N router is currently connected to my cable modem and the Airport is connected to the Netgear Router in bridge mode. However when I connect the External HD to the Airport it cannot be seen. I can see it when I connect it to my mac directly but I would prefer to share my pictures over the network and keep the External HD stationary instead of moving wherever my laptop goes. I also read that the Airport can slow down the internet speed because it is not an "N" so that is why I currently have it in bridge mode. Is there anyway to get this done? Thanks in advance.

Can you clarify what model you mean by an old Airport? There's dozens of different AirPort base station models, and the only ones that work with a USB harddrive are the AirPort Extreme's with 802.11 n (flat, square-shaped with 4 ethernet ports). The AirPort Expresses and older dome-shaped base stations do not have that capability.
If you have an AirPort Extreme which meets the requirements of connecting a USB drive, you can verify whether it's connected by configuring it manually using the AirPort Utility and looking under the disks tab.
The following article tells you the various ways of connecting to the disk if it is recognized in the AirPort Utility and properly formatted:
