How do I connect my HP Laptop to Samsung TV

I have HP Laptop Pavilion zd8007ea, operating system Windows XP. I have Samsung 32” Flat screen TV which I wish to connect to. I have SVGA cable that connects PC to TV. When I select the source on the TV to PC, the screen in just blank, but if I then disconnect the cable, the TV will display the message ‘No signal being received’ so there must be some connectivity between the two with the cable connected. Some two years ago I had a fault on the screen of the laptop, and to check it was a screen fault and not the graphics card, I plugged in the flat screen monitor from my desktop computer, and it displayed straight away, without the need to do anything. I also have an Eee pc notebook, which I used the same SVGA cable with connected to the TV, on the notebook the F8 key shows two screens on it, and by pressing it I get the notebook display on the TV. On the HP Laptop none of the ‘F’ keys appear to be designated to use to have the display on an external monitor. I have posted this question on other sites, but none of the suggestions work, Help!!

you could try to look if your computer has the driver to use it.
you could use an RGB cable, and also if you have an HDMI cabe and can use it with ur computer you can use video and audio on the TV.
tho if ur pc is like my laptop you may need to enable the HDMI (or other port) to use for audio or video.
and possible disable the Computers speakers for the audio to work.
if you have an optical cable or port for it on your computer i believe you could use that aswell.

  • How do I connect my PC laptop??

I have a pc laptop that I would like to join to my TC wireless network... the network is closed so it can't be seen... how do I connect the PC? I'm at a loss... thank you!!

I don't know if this will work for you (I've had a similar problem). I kinda "tricked" the system, and, somehow, it worked: I first "unclosed" the network, so that the network name appeared on the PC. Then I enabled the PC and successfully accessed the TC/TM. After that, I went back to the TC/TM via the Airport Utility and selected "closed network." At this point, the PC still worked, even though the network name no longer was visible on other wireless computers.
Please let me know if this works for you.
    Good luck,
    David.
P.S. Please see MY PROBLEM I just posted today; maybe you can help me... The blind leading the blind, I guess!!

How do I connect my Samsung SCX-3405 to Apple Air Print

If the printer is not AirPrint compatible, you need to use a 3rd party printing app to make it so. If Samsung does not provide such an app for this printer via the iTunes app store, there are a number of 3rd party printing apps available via the iTunes app store.

I cant seem to get my husbands xp laptop to connect to my airport network my mac book and my sons macbook connect with no problem.

My PC picks up all available wireless networks via wideband but does not recognise the Airport Extreme.
How do you have the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) configured? Is it configured to only create a 5 GHz network? If so, does the PC have 802.11n or 802.11a capability?
I have also not figured out how to use the network to send messages, etc., back and forth between my MacBook Pro and my wife's MacBook although we can both send files via Bluetooth.

  • How do I connect my dell laptop from work to my 27 mac monitor?, how do I connect my dell laptop from work to my 27 mac monitor?

    I received a 27 LED apple/mac monitor --not the 2011/12 version though.
I want to use with my work computer--a dell laptop.  I can't seem to find the right adaptor to connect the two.
I need a dvi port converter that also connects to my vga on my laptop (so need the male end of hte vga since my laptop has the female end).
I only found 1 adaptor but it ends with a dvi on a vga.  I don't have hdmi on my laptop either--tried that adaptor as well when I couldn't see on the pic when I ordered that it was hdmi not usb).  Please help.  I have read so many blogs that say it can be done.

I'm flabbergasted!      I wasn't aware of that technology.  I'll try reading up on it after I get some sleep; maybe I'm just dreaming right now.

  • How do I connect my iMac to my Samsung LCD TV?

I want to connect my 2009 iMac, Mac os x version 10.5.8 to my 2008 Samsung LCD TV, model LN32A450C1D.  Does anyone know what cords I will need so I can watch videos from my computer on my TV?
    Thanks.

Your mac has a mini display port so you'll need to adapt that to HDMI on your TV. I have a mini display port to DVI that I bought from the Apple Store, then a DVI to HDMI adapter. Be aware that this will only carry the video signal, you'll need seperate audio cables to carry the audio signal. You can buy adapters for cheap but I've read of some people having problems with no name adapters working with their Macs, so I spend a few more $$ and shop at the apple store.

  • How do I connect my laptops with firewire cable

My old mac laptop screen has died. How can I connect the old laptop to my new macbook in order to see the hard drive of the old machine so that I can retrieve/print files from it?
I have a firewire cable, but when I connected the two, the old machine did not show up on the screen of my new laptop. What else do I have to do? Thanks

See this Knowledge Base article on how to do this: it's called Target Disk Mode.

  • For a LAN network in my office, all laptops are Windows based and the internet is through LAN and other computer get connected with adhoc without the router. My Apple computer nor my iPhone 5 get connected. How do I connect to this Internet?

In the office, All my colleges use Windows laptops. The Internet connection is out of LAN wire installed in one of the computers. Others use Internet by creating adhoc connection. However none of the apple products are being able to connect to this connection. How can i connect my MacBook Pro or iPhone 5 to this Internet network?

Just how is the one computer connecting to the internet? What type of connection does the office have, DSL, Cable or is it a Data connection through a Cell phone provider.
I doubt all other computer are doing Ad-Hoc but are probably Sharing the Internet connection with Internet Connection Sharing from that one Windows base PC.
All you khave to do is Connect to that same WiFi SSID name and have the correct password for it.

  • How do I connect my second PC or Laptop to main PC with router?

I recently bought a new Desktop PC and had 2 laptops and now have an older Desktop PC!
I also bought a WRT150 Wireless-N router to connect to the enternet with both my PC and laptops , to play games , share pictures betwin my PC with friends and family.Previously I lived in place where no one know what does network word mean...so I'm new to enthernet and network and I have a question! Once I installed the software from instalation CD and succesfuly connected to the enternet trough the router how do I connect my other Desktop PC and Laptops to the router?Do I need to install that software to my other computers? How do I check if I need addition devices? Can any one write a step by step instruction for me or give me a link to the page if it was wroten already?

Ok so the new desktop which is wired has Vista.  You have 2 laptops with what OS?  Are they wired or wireless?  The older PC has what OS and what network card (wired or wireless)?
As you know Vista is a new operating system and is not compatible with some routers yet so I would have another PC with Windows XP (with service pack 2) wired to your router.  Now the information on the network card that is needed is what type it it?  Wired or wireless which is easy to tell by if it needs to be plugged in or not.  Most wireless network cards come with a driver and software so that is the software I am referring to.
When setting your wireless security up some  older operating systems can not use WPA  or WPA2 so they have to use WEP which is not that good bet better then nothing at all.  The SSID has to be something other then linksys so you can identify your wireless network.  So when you get all this information also post your  router model/version and how you have it configured as far as the SSID and DHCP range, internet connection type (DSL or Cable) ,  and security.  Don't worry you system will still be secure as long as you DO NOT leave your routers password as admin and do not tell anyone your routers password for any reason.

Thanks for replying. The plan you have it would be an additional charge to add the hotspot feature. It's not free with the Nationwide plan. You would need to add the feature online at www.verizonwireless.com/myverizon

  • My old laptop crashed, how do I connect by Ipod to my new laptop without losing current contents of my Ipod?

My IPOD classic was synchronized to an old laptop computer that crashed recently. I just got a new laptop computer and I am wondering how I can connect by IPOD to it without losing all data I have on it?

Copy all the content that is currently on your iPod to your new laptop first. See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer covering the different methods and software available to assist you with the task of copying content from your iPod back to your PC and into iTunes.
