How do I connect my iPad to my iPhone

I am trying to connect my iPad to my iPhone in order to transfer some pics. Turned on the Bluetooth in both devices but they keep showing searching and there is no connection happening. How do I solve tha?

iOS devices do not support file transfers via Bluetooth natively.
There are 'bluetooth photo share' apps available on the AppStore if you search. The app needs to be installed and running on both devices to work.
