Just trying to stream music from my iphone to my mac mini speakers.  Any way I can do that in a similar way that I can do it via applte tv?

    No.
Since all music on your iPhone should be in your iTunes library on the Mini if that is the Mac you sync your iPhone with, play the music from iTunes on your Mini through the Mini speakers. If the music is in your iTunes library on another Mac, set up Home sharing to play the music in your iTunes library on another Mac with iTunes on your Mini.

  • How to share an usb-connected Windows Vista Printer with a Mac Mini

    Hi,
I own a laptop Sony with Windows Vista (64) which has a printer connected via USB. I recently purchased a MAC MINI (middle model) and wanted to use my laptops printer for printing from my Mac mini. is this possible? thanks. Mx

    Hey there Max,
If you can’t find the printer in the network browser, it may be easier to add the printer manually using the URL field, as shown in the article below.

  • How can I synch my Iphone signatures with my mac?

I like to synch my iphone signatures, with thoose from my macbook.
I've arround 20 differnent Signatures for mare than 40 email accounts and I don't like to write all signatures in my iphone. Is it possible to synch them whith my macbook?

If you want to use your phone with your computer, you need to update it to OS X 10.6.8, and iTunes to 11.1. Snow Leopard is US $20 at Apple's online store.
That is, if your Mac meets the requirements for Snow Leopard.

  • How could I sync an Android device with a Mac mini?

There does not seem to be any obvious way to sync contacts, or, indeed, much of anything. 'Accounts & Sync', in 'Settings' on the device doesn't acknolwdge that the Mac exists by direct USB connection, Bluetooth, or 802.11 wireless. The device doesn't show in the Finder when connected by USB or 802.11 wireless. (It does _charge_ when connected by USB, and it does show a network connection via 802.11 and its IP shows up on the network, it just won't connect to sync anything.) It's a T-Mobile device; T-Mobile doesn't seem to have any tools to make the connection, or at least I can't find any, and there aren't any apps in the App Store which seem able to do this, or again I can't find any. It's trivial to connect an iOS device; surely _someone_ has a way to connect an Android. Surely?

  • How best to connect multiple (not Apple) monitors to mac mini

    Hi all,
I'm looking to purchase a Mac Mini and need some advice about setting up two non Apple monitors that have both HDMI & VGA ports.
    Can I use USB ports?
If I connect one on the Thunderbolt and the other to the HDMI port will it work well?
Can I connect two monitors through one HDMI or Thunderbolt port?
Can I add other monitors later of I want to?
Also what cables/adapters will I need.
    Thank you
    Drew

Connect one to the computer's HDMI port and the other to the Thunderbolt port using a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable or adapter

    <http://store.apple.com/us/product/H1824ZM/A/moshi-mini-dp-to-hdmi-adapter-with-a udio-support>
It is possible to connect multiple displays to the HDMI port by using a HDMI splitter, but all will show the same picture.
It is possible to connect two displays to the Thunderbolt port but at least one must be a Thunderbolt display, and you can't use the HDMI port.
It is possible to connect extra displays via USB, but performance is limited

  • How do I connect 5.1 Surround Speakers to Mac Mini?

Hello, I was wondering if there is any way to connect my 5.1 speaker system (Creative SBS 560) to the mac mini. I tried googling but nothing helped.
Is there any extensions I could use to get the full capacity of the speakers (using 5.1 instead of 2.1).
I'm thinking of maybe the audio leads (front, rear, sub) to an optical cable (toslink). Not sure if there is such thing, but any alternative would help.
I would be grateful if anyone could help me out.

Apple provides the optical out for 5.1. You just need speakers with optical in - http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakersaudio/home_pcspeakers/devices/224&cl=us,en
The other option is to attach a receiver to do the decoding to speakers like most of us do to turn it into a home theater.
The only thing that would work with the Creative SBS 560's would be a dedicated decoder with some special adapters for the connectors - http://www.amabilidade2002.com/toslink.htm

  • How can I create a live video with my mac mini?

I have a new mac mini and a logitech webcam, ilife 2011, even a professional external mike, if necessary.  How can I create a live video to upload to YouTube and the like?

If you're talking about LIVE video (as in, people can see what you're doing RIGHT NOW), you can't host that on Youtube (yet), although there are applications (not part of iLife, though) to let you stream to a personal website. If you just want to record yourself, then upload it, sure, you can do so using iMovie 11.
This page explains iMovie's iSight import feature - provided your webcam is supported, the same should work for you.
