How do I connect my new MacBook AIr to my TV using a Composite AV Cable. THe cable has a tiny connector at one end and has the red, white, yellow plug in for the TV on the other. I am wondering if I have the wrong connector?

I feel a little nieve, but I just purchaesed a new macbook air 13 (with the thunderbolt cable) and I can not find any adaptors on the mac store or the internet to get it plug into VGA, DVI, or TV HDMI etc. The older models had a mini port, but this one only has USB thunderbolt & SD card ports.
Any ideas, I would be extremly apreciative.

How do i create a new Apple ID, when it was being used by someone else?

I am VERY i phone/ computer illederate. I am on my pc, with my sons old (we traded, he wanted my samsung 3) i phone. i cannot do anything, eg. new apps,etc because it comes up with his e mail and asks for password which he forgot. So i went to Verizon and they got me to the pg "create a new apple id" I did everything it asked..then when i got home, thinking i did everythin and I WOULD BE THE NEW "OWNER"...nope. It STILL had his e mail and asked for long ago forgotten password. But i want my username&password. He suggested i go to Apple support, so here i am, HELP!

You can direct connect your MBA to the LaCie via USB 2 cable. If you have an Apple Airport Router you can USB connect the LaCie drive to the router and then use Airport Utility to configure it. Time Machine can access it either way.

First, make sure your TV is tuned to display the correct input signal. Most TVs have several inputs (multiple HDMIs, cable connections, RCA etc) so double-check that you're using the correct one - HDMI1, HDMI2 or whatever is written next to the port.
I assume that you have a mini-Displayport to HDMI adaptor? If you open displays preferences, first tick the box that says "show display preferences in menu bar" then locate the menu and click Detect Displays. See if that helps.

So assuming your mini has a thunderbolt port (you said it's new so I assume it does), you'd just plug the display's thunderbolt cable into the mini's Thunderbolt port.

I am sure there is no way to get your ADC connector display to function with your new Mac Book Pro.
I tried everying I could and gave up and purchased a 24" Apple refurbbished Cinema Display for $599 + tax on 4/27/2011. The Apple part number is FBXXXXL/A, Model A1287.
Gave my year 2002 ADC 22" display to a friend.

Got my new MBP 2011 today. Hooked it up to my 23" Apple Cinema Display fine, using the Apple DVI to ADC converter > Mini Display port adaptors. I could then mirror display, but only at 1440 x 900 resolution.
My dream is to have it like my old laptop--I mostly leave it shut, and main display is on the Cinema Display. So far, if I close the laptop lid on my new MBP, display shuts off. Also, can't get it to bump up the resolution to 1920.
Sigh.

The unit has full WiFi access with no problems, I can access ITunes on my laptop via home sharing no problem.

Glad that this solved your problem but if you searh past threads there are a LOT of people with identical problems.
Reading through the threads my take is
There seems to be something awry with wifi chipset. Typical symptoms are initially being able to connect to connect to a Wifi network then the connection is dropped. Then you see just the 'computers' and 'settings' icons on screen
Power off, reset and factory restore doesnt seem to solve it
Occasionally its nearby antenna cables etc causing interference
One report with convincing evidence it was the HDMI cable, swapping to anotehr cable fixed the problem
Plugging in ethernet works, this is purely a wifi issue
Sometimes plugging in ethernet temporararily wakes up the wifi
Many people seem to have exchanged their units only for the same thing to happen to the new unit a few weeks later. Just wondering if its a fomponent fail or heat issue.
