I just got my new ipad last week and i havent connected it to itunes yet..so when i plug my ipad in the laptop, its not showing up on itunes,,How do i connect my ipad to itunes to download music on it>?

How do I connect my new iPad to my home wifi?

I'm having trouble connecting my new iPad mini to my home wifi. When I choose my (Locked ) home network it takes me to a screen the has DHCP/BootP/Static. Also choices for HTTP Proxy. I have no idea how to unlock my home network and access the wifi. Thanks.

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

You wouldn't connect the iPod to the iPad for data transfers. Music is stored and shared either through a computer or iCloud.

I have a new iPad2, and want to set it up by copying my old iPad1's last back up. When I connect my new iPad2 to iTunes, I receive this message: This computer has previously been synced with an iPad or other iOS device. Thanks Eric, u were right, it was briefly connected. I tried Reset all settings, reconnected the iPad2 but still the srop down backup options only shows my iPhone as an option.

If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. Contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.
