How do I connect my scanner to Photoshop CC?

I just recently switched to Photoshop CC. I use my scanner regularly, but now I can't figure out how to connect my scanner to Photoshop CC.
How do I go about connecting it?
Thanks!

  • How do I connect my scanner so that I can import from it?

I have a new computer.  When I used Photoshop .Elements on my previous computer, I could use the Import command and connect to the scanner.  With my new computer, this option is not offered when I click on Import.  How do I get the scanner recognized by Photoshop so that it will show when I click on the Import command?

You probably need to reinstall its driver.

  • How to Use VuPoint Wand Scanner with Photoshop?

I have recently purchased a VuPoint Magic Wand Portable Scanner. I would like to be able to use my Photoshop program with these scans. I can locate the images, open them in Photoshop, make adjustments to them, but I cannot figure out how and where to save them for export to a website. I am 58 years old, and the advancements in technology have left me a bit confused about what to do next. The SD card will not let me "save" the changes made to the image. So, how and where do I go from here?

I'm not experienced with Windows 7, so for more detailed directions (including videos) on that stage of the process, I recommed this web page: http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows/explore/photos
Once your scans are on your computer, you can start Photoshop, click on the word "File" on the top menu, and mouse down to the word "Open". The Open dialog will appear. In that dialog, you can navigate to the location where you stored your scans (the Picture library, for example). Once you've found it, click on one of your scanned images and click the "Open" button in the Open dialog.
At this point, you can make any adjustments in Photoshop that you wish. When you've finished, click on the word "File" on the top menu, and mouse down to the word "Save". You can save the edited image with the same name, or you can change the name.
One more thing: 58 is not old! ;-)

  • How can i import my scanner into Photoshop CS5?

    Hi.
I have just installed Photoshop CS5 for Windows. I went to import my scanner (Epson Lide 500F) and it's not showing up.
I have reinstalled it, but it still doesn't show up.
Do i need to save it into a particular PS file? At the moment it's going into the Programmes file.
    Thank you

Photoshop CS5 doesn't ship with a TWAIN scanner interface installed, because it sometimes causes problems due to buggy drivers.  It does have a WIA scanner capability; that your scanner does not show up may mean that the drivers for that particular model are not being actively updated by the manufacturer of the scanner.
You can install the optional Twain plug-in into Photoshop CS5 32 bit only, which may get you the functionality you need:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/405/kb405072.html
Failing all of the above, you may need to get a new scanner.  I have had to buy three myself over the history of Photoshop releases since the '90s simply because of cessation of support.  It is the way it is.
    Hope this helps.

To add to sig's reply, "calibrating" does not calibrate Lithiu-Ion batteries, it calibrates the charge reporting circuitry.  If you look at the effect of deep discharging Lithium-Ion batteries in the data from the independent test group, Battery University, you will see that doing so shortens the life of the battery significantly. It looks like an optimum balance between use and life is at a discharge level of 50%.

  • How do i connect photoshop to facebook

how do I connect photo shop to facebook

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the Bridge or Lightroom forums, thats the only way I know how to create a connection, unless Elements has a way.
As far as manually doing so, photoshop can save jpg or png files which can then be uploaded via a web browser which can be connected to the facebook albums.

  • How Do I Get my Scanner to Work with Mavericks?

I got a message when I tried to scan a photo saying to check with the developer about HPScan....that it may not work with Mavericks and that I might have to reinstall it.
I have downloaded all the upgrades that have come and I think one was for the printer....HP.  Will it help to reinstall it?  And, exactly how do I do that?  I notice that in APPS there is an uninstaller.  Do I just use that to uninstall and then reinstall.....and, if so how do I do that?

    There's an alternative ...
Try using the Image Capture app in your Applications folder.
Connect the scanner to your Mac whether Wi-Fi or USB.
    Launch Image Capture.
Click the very small black box bottom left side of the Image Capture window.
You'll see this pop up menu:   Connecting this (device) opens:
You can select a default app to scan (Image Capture) and select a folder from the Imort To pop up menu on the right to save scanned files to.

  • How to remove preinstalled files of adobe photoshop from my mac mini so that i can install a new version of the same software. The previous version was removed using the app cleaner software.Could not continue installation bcoz of earlier files

How to remove preinstalled files of adobe photoshop from my mac mini so that i can install a new version of the same software. The previous version was removed using the app cleaner software.Could not continue installation of the new version because of the existance of files from the previous version.plz help

What "app cleaner software" ? I ask because installing Photoshop over a previous version has never been a problem. Perhaps your difficulty stems from another source, eg. "cleaner software" ?
If you look in your hard drive, at the root level there is a Library. In there is a folder called Application Support, and in that you will find a folder called Adobe. Files from your previous version are there.
However, I urge you to call Adobe support to make sure you are not doing anything that would mess up other Adobe applications.

  • I am trying to connect the scanner of a new MF8580 to my iMAC

I am trying to connect the scanner of a new MF8580 to my iMac. The printer works fine and the iMac does recognize the scanner, but they fail to connect. I downloaded the MF Toolbox from the Canon site, but it does not work because the scanner and computer do not connect. When I try to scan, the message on the display is also that I should connect the scanner to the computer. But how?
I hope someone can help to resolve this issue!
