How do I connect to this server?

I'm trying to connect to the default web page for a computer at work (actually I want to access a Filemaker Pro database but, if I can access the server at all, I can make it work). I've configured my router to forward port 80 to one of the computers here, and a guy at work has done the same with their router. Both computers have Personal Web Sharing enabled.
He can see my computer's web page just fine.My router assigns addresses of the form 192.168.x.x; the Network system preferences pane reports the computer's IP address as 192.168.1.3; IPaddress.com reports that it's address is 121.xxx.xxx.xx. (This last address is the same for both computers here, so I guess it's the router's address the website is displaying.) If the guy at work puts this address in his browser's address bar, he can see the default web page of the computer here (the one I forwarded port 80 to).
The router at work is an AE Base Station and, at the moment, it assigns addresses of the form 10.1.0.x. The computer I'm trying to access has the address 10.1.0.5. We've configured the Base Station to forward port 80 to that address. The base station reports that it's IP address is 220.239.xx.xxx, and IP address.com also reports this as the computer's address. However, when I put the address into Safari it can't find the server.
What have we missed. Why does this work one way, but not the other.

You're right, I should be able to access the database using FileMaker sharing but we can't get that to work. We've set up a Hamachi network and I don't know if that's messing with things.
Anyway, we got FileMaker Instant Web Publishing working using a different port. Apparently port 80 can be problematical due to other traffic using it.

To install a certificate in the Windows certificate store of the server computer, you will need to purchase/provision a certificate from a certificate authority first. So please go to a certificate authority to choose the appropriate certificate.
For SQL Server to load a SSL certificate, the certificate must meet the following conditions:
The certificate must be in either the local computer certificate store or the current user certificate store.
The current system time must be after the Valid from property of the certificate and before the Valid to property of the certificate.
The certificate must be meant for server authentication. This requires the Enhanced Key Usage property of the certificate to specify Server Authentication (1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1).
The certificate must be created by using the KeySpec option of AT_KEYEXCHANGE. Usually, the certificate's key usage property (KEY_USAGE) will also include key encipherment (CERT_KEY_ENCIPHERMENT_KEY_USAGE).
The Subject property of the certificate must indicate that the common name (CN) is the same as the host name or fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the server computer. If SQL Server is running on a failover cluster, the common name must match the host
name or FQDN of the virtual server and the certificates must be provisioned on all nodes in the failover cluster.
Question 3: how should i know that the connection in sql server is secured?

use apple+k to connect to the share, enter the share name as:
smb://your-user-name@server/share
keychain should remember the password for you.

Unable to create a secure connection to this serve...

When i try to connect Turkish free wireless network TTnet Wifi, i am having "unable to create a secure connection to this server" error. The network connection trying to open an https log in page to connect internet. (in normally after the push connect button on that page, the network connection becomes available for internet.) All notebook and iphone or other mobile / computer devices can connect to internet with this network, but not nokia 5800 (and maybe other nokia devices with same browser)
I have tried with other browsers like skyfire or opera but no luck because after the connect ttnet wifi network, device opens default browser for log in page, and it gives error. I have also tried wefi too.
I think there is a bug or missing features with default browser. If you have any comments or suggestions please write.

This is a Brand new Server 2012 that is running our CRM product and it is trying to connect to a Server 2008 R2 server with SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 instance (10.50.4000)
I have seen this in the past where it needed the 2005 backwards compatibility components installed but those are not supported on 2012 server and this is not a 2005 SQL instance.
I am trying to install the Shared Management Objects for SQL Server 2008 but it tells me I need to install the CLR types, which I did install. But it continues to tell me to install the CLR types.
Has anyone ran into any issues like this? (this happens trying to connect to multiple SQL Servers from this new 2012 Server)

You can connect to SQL Server 2008 R2 or earily verions with SSMS 2012.

Are you positive you're using version 11 Oracle client and 9206 database? That combination should work, and Ive never seen that error message occur for anything but the expected reason.

I had the same problem, make sure you have a recent mail.jar from the Javamail API. Upgrading the Javamail API did the trick for me.

I am using the ODP.NET 11.2 (Oracle.DataAccess.dll 4.112.3.0) for .NET 4.5 (in Visual Studio 2012). I can connect to 11g Databases but when trying to connect to 9.2.0.8 database this error is thrown:
ORA-03134: Connections to this server version are no longer supported
I don't understand why, as I could connect using Toad, but not from a .NET application.
By the way, I'm using Windows 7 64bits.

When using Mail Connection Doctor two error messages come up with regards to sending and receiving mail from my @mac.com account.
The first one says that my @mac.com account: "Could not connect to this MobileMe IMAP server." How do I fix this? Is this caused by the way I have set my preferences? Is this related to joing iCloud? Or my ISP Verizon the problem?
The second one says in reference to my Apple Server: "Could not connect to this STMP server. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Account perferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL. If it does not, deselect the "Use SSL checkbox in the Advanced tabe of Account preferences." This box was not checked. Two days ago these problems did not exist. Again, how do I figure out who to discusses these problems with?

now the problem is that i cant find these files on my system. firstly where these files will be located. secondly are they will be used to connect to SQL Server 7.0. thirdly if not what is the procedure.

You can search for the JDBC drivers at, http://industry.java.sun.com/products/jdbc/drivers
All the three jars that you specified are part of MsSQL Server jdbc driver. You need them (in the classpath) to get connected to the database.
"com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver" is the class in mssqlserver.jar. This is the driver class which will be used to get connected to the database.
You can search in this forum for writting jdbc code (for Sql Server). If you don't find these jars, give me your e-mail id.

For a LAN network in my office, all laptops are Windows based and the internet is through LAN and other computer get connected with adhoc without the router. My Apple computer nor my iPhone 5 get connected. How do I connect to this Internet?

In the office, All my colleges use Windows laptops. The Internet connection is out of LAN wire installed in one of the computers. Others use Internet by creating adhoc connection. However none of the apple products are being able to connect to this connection.How can i connect my MacBook Pro or iPhone 5 to this Internet network?

Just how is the one computer connecting to the internet? What type of connection does the office have, DSL, Cable or is it a Data connection through a Cell phone provider.
I doubt all other computer are doing Ad-Hoc but are probably Sharing the Internet connection with Internet Connection Sharing from that one Windows base PC.
All you khave to do is Connect to that same WiFi SSID name and have the correct password for it.
