How do I connect two Apple IDs to iTunes?

My wife an I are new to the world of Apple and are having fun finding our way. We have muliple devices (iPhone4, iPhone5, iPad, iPad mini) and two separate iCloud apple IDs. I want to share the iTunes library on my desktop computer with both IDs...how do I make this happen?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities and to the Apple world. If you want to have both accounts on one iTunes library, all you would have to authorized both accounts in that particular iTunes library. The following will shed some light on that process.

Yes. You can sync multipl iDevices on the same computer using the same Apple ID. You can each have different configurations of apps, books, music, etc. or have identical configurations. In this way, however, your common data - contacts, mail, calendar will be the same on both iDevices.
The Apple ID doesn't distinguish one phone from another, only how the phone will sync to a computer. The Apple ID is how iTunes knows to which computer a phone syncs. And, the Apple ID determines who is the registered owner of downloaded and purchased items via iTunes.

I wanted my teenager's AppleID to be different from mine so that she couldn't charge stuff to my AppleID, therefore I created me another one. Now when I go to Sync either device, it tells me that this IOS device can only be synced with one AppleID. Then I get a message to erase it, not going to do that, lol. If I logout as one ID and login as the other, will it still retain all synced information on the PC from the first IOS device? If I can just log in out of the AppleID, then I have no problem doing that as long as the synced apps, music, etc stays there for both. I am not trying to copy from one to the other, just want to make sure I have a backup for the UhOh times. If logging in and out on the same PC of multiple AppleIDs is acceptible then I need to be able to authorize the PC for both devices. Thanks for the help. I am new to the iOS world.

I forgot to mention that she has a PC at her house that she also syncs to. Would this cause a problem. I am already getting that pop up saying that the iPod is synced to another library (even though she is signed in with her Apple ID to iTunes) and gives the pop up to Cancel, Erase & Sync, or Transfer Purchases. My question arose because she clicked on "Erase & Sync" by mistake when she plugged the iPod to her PC the first time. When the iPod was purchased and setup, it was synced to my PC first. When she went home, she hooked it up to her PC and then she erased it by accident. I was able to restore all the missing stuff yesterday using my PC. However, even after doing that it still told me the next time I hooked it up last night that the iPod was currently synced with a different library. Hopefully, you can help me understand all this. To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.
You may find that when you try to do this, the password for your old ID it isn't accepted. If this happens, and if your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I bought two i pads for my kids. Since we have just one email address, everytime I try to create a new apple id it says I already have one. They need separate ids so their friends can facetime with one and not the other. Can't figure out how to create two apple ids with one email address.

Get her an email address, even if she never uses it. They're free and available almost everywhere. The only requirement is that the address be a valid one.

You can even use an "alias" of yours. That's a fake address that actually sends everything to you. Check with your current email supplier.

How do I manage two apple ids and iCloud for my teen's iPad?

Before my son turned 13, he used my Apple ID to set up his purchases for his first iPad. Now he has his own apple ID. He has his own iPhone and a different iPad for school. The school wants him to use iCloud to back up everything.
I just set up iCloud but it wants to back up the items from my ID only. How do I get it to back up from his ID too?
How can I even figure out which items are linked to his Apple ID and which ones are linked to my Apple ID?
For next school year, I want everything to work with his ID, not mine. I wish I had just made him one in his name when he was 12!
I'm not so worried about the apps, photos, etc. I am more concerned about his documents from Pages, Keynote, iBooks... I think when he does his schoolwork it is saving to my Apple ID and not his.
I've avoided syncing to the computers because we have 3 users with different IDs and several different devices and after a while it gets really confusing to know what belongs to whom.
I know that a lot of people are frustrated that you can't merge Apple IDs -- seems like Apple ID is built for single people and not growing families who hand down older devices to other family members.

You can see which ID he is signed into for iCloud by going to Settings>iCloud on his device(s) and viewing the ID shown next to Account. This is the account that his documents are being store in, and the one his device is backing up to (if he is backing up to iCloud).
While it is possible to have more than one iCloud account on a device, there are limitations to the typed of data that additional ("secondary") accounts will sync. Only the primary account (the one listed in Settings>iCloud) can be used for photo stream, bookmarks, documents, iCloud backup and Find My iDevice. Because of this limitation, it isn't possible to sync (or "back up") documents from iWork to more than one iCloud account.

How can I have two Apple IDs (one from Canada and one from the UK) for the same device?

I originally bought an iPhone in Canada and had my first Apple ID while there. I still want to have this account, as there are some Canadian apps that I wish to have and keep updating. However, I am now living in the UK - yet when I try to search for apps that all of my friends have I can't find them because they are particular to Britain. If you want to move your iCloud account to another existing ID you'll have to delete the existing account, set up a new account with the other ID, then upload your data to the new account. To do this, begin by going to Settings>iCloud and turn all synced data (contacts, calendars, etc.) to Off. When prompted choose to keep the data on your phone. After everything is turned off you can scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. Then set up the new account with your other ID and turn syncing for calendars, contacts, etc. back to On. When prompted, choose Merge. This will upload your data to the new account. Note: this will not migrate your photo stream photos. You will need to save these prior to deleting the existing account.

Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

How do I run two Apple IDs with one computer and sync music content?

I have a single PC which I have added all of the music to one my log in. My wife and I have Iphones and I want to run separate accounts for itunes, but sync music content from the single source to both phones. Whenever I have tried to do this in the past, it starts to sync all app to both phones. I tried to therefore have separate log ins on the pc itself, but when I have tried this, the music content does not update on my wifes itunes library, after I have added music to mine (ie imported a CD), even though I have linked my wife's music library for itunes purposes to my music folder (hopefully that makes sense!!). Can anyone help as this is driving me mad, otherwise I will just have to run from my account and delete all of my wifes apps etc whenever I sync my phone, and vice versa.

Help! My husband got an iPhone 4S. I have had one for a while. We each have an apple ID. I need step by step instructions as to change his phone settings so that we use my apple ID for music and apps on his phone and his apple ID for everything else. Make sure that in Settings
Messages> Send/Recieve -your signed in to your own account
When your trying to share applications you cant be signed in to both accounts Simutaniously but you can technically sign in to their account in Settings>iTunes / App store- download their apps/music
Then sign out and back in to your device with your own account
