how do I continue to use Mail on my MacBook2? i use iCloud on my iPhone and iPad but cannot receive my Mail account on my older MacBook. I have followed the iCloud/move link as suggested but it doesn't give me the continue to use Mail option. Any help gratefully received.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

I have updated my Apple TV to 5.1. Using the Remote app on my IPhone and iPad I can browse the music library on the Apple TV but I cannot select a song to play. Has someone else the same problem?
MatsI think I found the reason. On my iMac that is hosting the music library a song already was playing. This seems to block out me from selecting another song though my Apple TV.

The Apple IDs from @mac.com and @me.com (Older MobileMe and more recent iCloud Names) are also Valid AIM Screen names.
Any other sort of Apple ID is not a Valid AIM Name.
A Google ID that is associated with Google Mail Account (And has "Talk" enable on your Google Settings) can be used in iChat as Jabber Name/ID. (Google Run Jabber server).
Jabber and AIM are different IM Services and it is not easy or straight forward to add Buddies from one Service to the Buddy List of another. (As A Starting point consider it "impossible")
iChat 4 and 5 have links to the registration page of @Mac.com here with a "Get an iChat Account" button in the add (Account) screen (You select @mac.com or MobileMe and then press the Button - Choosing AIM and then pressing the button used to lead to the AIM registration page but AIM moved their page).
Apple IDs can be any valid email (or an @mac.com or iCloud registration)
Therefore you could make a Google ID into an Apple ID.
However this will not be a valid AIM Screen Name the way @mac.com or MobileMe/iCloud ones are.

At this point you have the option of keeping a device optimized version (lower resolution version) of your photo on your phone while iCloud stores a full resolution version. Or keeping the full resolution version on both your phone and the iCloud. If you delete the photo on your phone it will be deleted on the iCloud. I know, bummer. Also it should be noted that the photos app and the library are still in beta and to this point i see why. I would use dropbox or a smiliar app for off device storage.
So far this is how it has been working/not working for me. Whether or not I choose to keep originals or optimized on my phone it will only keep the originals and it has only been uploading lower resolution versions of my photos to the iCloud library. Seems to be working in reverse.
Again these are still in beta so i am hopeful that this will be fixed in the near future.

Since update of my Mac Book Pro my previously drafted Notes no longer appear on my Mac but are still available through iCloud on my iPhone and iPad. How do I get my Mac to sync with the other devices as e'thing else has synced on my MAC through iCloud. Also since the update Notes no longer appear as a folder in "Mail" but are now a distinct programme-is there any way of returning Notes to the Mail programme?
Thanks, but I've been on the phone with AppleCare US (where I am and live) and AppleCare UK. They continue bouncing me back and forth without helping resolve the problem.

Depends on whether your carrier supports Personal Hotspot & how/if they charge for this feature. Some carriers include Personal Hotspot as part of your data plan, some require it be provisioned on your account. Contact your carrier & see what their requirements are. The fact that you have the Personal Hotspot setting indicates your carrier supports this feature.

Mail through Comcast exhange perfect on iPhone and iPad but intermittent problems on MacBook Pro?
I run on an exchange server through Comcast. My exchange mail works perfectly on my iPhone and iPad but doesn't work properly most of the time on my MacBook Pro. My MacBook is not that old. This happened with Snow Leopard. I just updated to Lion and it's happening with Lion too. It's happening with iCal, Contacts and Outlook too. Any ideas why it's working fine on iPhone and iPad but problems on the MacBook Pro? This is very frustrating. I'm having to respond to emails on my iPad when I'm right next to my laptop. Gmail emails work fine with laptop. Seems to be a problem with my MacBook and exchange server. Thank you.

MS exchange account on my iPhone and iPad doesn't capture sent mail when sent from iPhone or iPad! Everyting else seems to work fine. Can someone pleasse help?
iPhone and iPad use a different way of accessing the server.
I don't know the exact details, but we are using Zarafa instead of Exchange and have the same problem:
iPhone and the likes can connect to Zarafas z-push interface, which is some identical interface to the native Exchange interface, while the desktop e-mail application tries to interface with the web front end (via http) of the server.
These are completely different setups and it depends on the actual installation of the server to get this going.
So, you will most likely need different access parameters for the desktop - and the web mail feature has to be enabled on the Exchange server.
In my opinion using the web mail interface is just silly. On the other hand, the native protocol has less features comparedto the web front end, so you are somehow stuck with sins of the past.

My mac mini is not updating its software to OSX Lion v10.7.5, which I need for iCloud. I would like to use iCloud on my desktop along with my iphone and ipad but the auto updates are only upto 10.6.8.

Suddenly on both my iPhone and iPad I cannot access my AOL mail. It tells me my user name or password are incorrect. Yet I have no trouble accessing from other devices. This occurred randomly in the middle of the night. I'd done nothing different or unusual. I've tried re-starting both devices, tried deleting and re-installing my account information. Any suggestions?
Hmm... looks like this is an issue for that email provider for some reason.
A user in a bt.com forums recommends turning off Push Emails settings.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Turn Push Off.
