First you need to install a means of printing to pdf from word. I like cutepdf writer ( http://cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp ). Once installed you will print the doc in word and under the printer selection you choose pdf.
Once you have the file you put it in your local site folders and upload it using Dreamweaver. Be sure to link to it from a page so users can get to it and I would recommend giving the link a target of _black so it will open in a new window (see the properties inspector in DW).

h264.mp4 is actually the most common 'standard' (4000 video 'standards' aaaaand counting)
mp4 is indeed universal (Mac, Windows, Linux), and since YouTube, the h264 codec has a good installed base .....
you can bump into probs only when it comes to sheer amount of data:
for instance cheap 'digital frames' are sortof over-whelmed, if you try to playback 720/30p in high quality.
I'm not familiar with 21st cent devices as SmartBoards ... again, it could happen, you have to reduce resolution/fps/bit-rate to avoid clutter&stutter in the video.
I'm using such encoded files successfully on Playstation3, WD HD TV or flatscreenTVs with integrated usb-connection (via stick), etc

I have "accidently" converted an internal disk to dynamic and cannot see any of my data. I want to see the data. I presume I need to convert it back to a basic disk?
on this forum and others the solution seems to be back the data on the dynamic disk up, convert it back to basic and restore the data after. Yet, the only place I can see any signs of the disk is within disk managment.
If I run Backup it dosen't see the disk.
any suggestions would be gratefully received!

you must backup all data and delete the volumes on it:
How to Convert a Dynamic Disk to a Basic Disk
To change a dynamic disk back to a basic disk:
Back up all the data on all the volumes on the disk you want to convert to a basic disk.
Log on as Administrator or as a member of the Administrators group.
Click Start , and then click Control Panel .
Click Performance and Maintenance , click Administrative Tools , and then double-click
Computer Management .
In the left pane, click Disk Management .
Right-click a volume on the dynamic disk that you want to change to a basic disk, and then click
Delete Volume .
Click Yes when you are prompted to delete the volume.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each volume on the dynamic disk.
After you have deleted all the volumes on the dynamic disk, right-click the dynamic disk that you want to change to a basic disk, and then click
Convert to Basic Disk .
NOTE :You must right-click the gray area that contains the disk title on the left side of the Details pane. For example, right-click
Disk 1 .

I have a quicktime movie on a hard drive, and I have the hard drive plugged into my macbook, and the quicktime movie is not opening, its just a black screen. How do I convert it to the right file so I can watch it ?

I plugged my old drive into an identical Vostro and saved my bookmarks per the instructions. Later, when I check the file, it was in html format. While waiting for the replacement laptop to arrive, I put my old (Vostro) hard drive into a case so I could access the files. There is no way you can edit and document with Exportpdf. Exportpdf only helps you to convert the pdf document to other formats.
Please provide more information what is exactly that you want to perform. And what all Adobe Applications you have.

I am an independent author that has purchased the batch of 10 isbn's from bowker. When I put in all the information to assign the isbn to my book, it tells me the file size must be converted to decimal. I have searched the internet and understand that one meg would be 10^6 but what is it if it is over or under one meg? my file size is 802 kb. so would that be .802 x 10^6? Open the file in Acrobat and select ctrl-D, followed by the security tab. Request security to restrict changing the PDF and related issues. You may still want to allow printing. I need help as a new user to reflow, I have a great design but can not convert to html.

If you have the most recent update there is an "Export for Code Editor" option under file in the top menu.
You have to save the reflow project first but it exports the CSS, Html and Assets into it's own folder. The CSS is not perfect and you may want to optimize it before uploading it to a production website. This is "Preview" software or "Alpha / Beta" software and is not meant for product quality code, it is really meant only to play with and see were Adobe is thinking of going with their web development tools, it's not meant to make an actual website with.
That said, the CSS is a good STARTING point to work with the code by hand or in another editor. A year ago it wasn't even that but now it is workable.
The development team for reflow is small and they work on other projects besides reflow so the priority isn't that high or we would have had a much more advanced tool over the two years they have been working on it in their spare time.

If a website doesn't offer to store the password then chances are that it doesn't fill that password either if you use the "Saved Passwords Editor" extension. You can only use that extension in such a case as a reminder in case you forget the password.
