How do I convert a shockwave object file into a mp4 or avi video?

How do I convert a shockwave object file into a mp4 or avi video?  Do you know of any software that converts that type of file?

The M4V format is a video file format developed by Apple and is very close to the MP4 format. The differences are the optional Apple's DRM copyright protection, and the treatment of AC3 (Dolby Digital) audio which is not standardized for the MP4 container.
If your M4V video is not unprotected M4V files and without AC3 audio. It may be recognized and played by other video players by changing the file extension from ".m4v" to "mp4".
So you can try to change the file extension and check if it works. If it doesn't work, try Leawo video converter(for windows or mac) and convert m4v to mp4 format.

How can I convert a PDF/A file into a PDF file with Acrobat Pro X? I'd like to modifiy the file which I have only as a PDF/A.

There's two answers if you want to modify the file:
You can temporarily turn off PDF/A Mode in your preferences, so they don't open as read-only. The problem would be if you do something to the file that violated the PDF/A standard, so you should always run a Preflight check afterwards to make sure.
If you want to remove the PDF/A header tag, use Preflight again - it's on the Print Production Panel in Acrobat X Pro (which may be hidden, use the options menu on the Tools Pane to show it). There's a profile called "Remove PDF/A information" - choose this and press Analyze and Fix. Nothing else about the file will be altered but when you save and reopen it all the editing tools will become active.

  • How can I convert the old AppleWorks files into a modern useable format?

I've been using Mac computers for many years. The most important application (to me) was AppleWorks. But now I have learned that if I upgrade
to Lion all my Appleworks files will be lost.  I have searched in many places for the "How to convert AppleWorks files to some format that WILL
be supported by Apple.  I see no information on the Apple website and when I speak to a support person, I am always told that AppleWorks is
so very old, it was not included in their training so they cannot tell me anything.  The little bits of advice I did get caused all my 20,000 AppleWorks
files to be moved into my LaCie terrabyte external storage file, and at the same time the old files remain in my Macintosh Hard Drive. But in both
places, those files cannot be read any more, and the nicely organized work I had done, was all gone. I mean - my AppleWorks files were always
grouped by folders into special interest sections.  Now those folders don't exist and everything is in disarray - and unreadable. The titles of each
file is now greyed out.  I have tried
to make the transfer in Bento3 but mostly in iWork06.  I was told by Apple staff NOT to buy a higher iWork such as 09 because they are too
far removed from the old AppleWorks to be able to do anything with it.  So I've stuck to iWork06 with no success.  Also, I went to my favorite
privately owned Apples store and found all their instruction manuals and DVD application files MISSING. Their shelves are empty. I was told
the new way is to order off the internet but....I'd far rather go into a shop and see all they offer for sale.  If I had gone there to buy ONE item,
I'd drive away with THREE items, because getting my hands on items was the important way to understand what the value and purpose
    of that item is.
To summarize: I have installed iWorks06 with no written information about it.  I have iWork08 with an instruction book which never never
mentions AppleWorks, so I have not installed iWork08.  I have Bento3 installed, but no instruction book.  So I haven't learned or tried anything
because it too never speaks of AppleWorks transfer.  Some of my AppleWorks files are extremely important to me. Not just personal or
social but BUSINESS!  I won't be able to answer the tax man should he come a-knocking on my door.   HELP!!

So what kinds of files are they? Word processing docs, from the painting Appleworks app, or spreadsheets?
This is how I've handled it:
Anything word processing: should be able to import them (drag them in or import) into Pages. Worked here.
Spreadsheets: Used File > Open to open an AW spreadsheet. Needs a few adjustments, but I was able to tailor Numbers to get my spreadsheets the way I wanted them. Just experimented for a while with a non-essential spreadsheet until I figured out what to do.
Painting: That is the one I used the most (and continue to do so): Cannot be read by any iWork. If your doc is a finished product, simply save it as a .pdf or .jpg and then you can drag it into Pages. If it is not, then you are out of luck. I am keeping a partition with a bootable Snow Leopard system with Appleworks on it in order to be able to keep creating my stuff because I've not been able to find a somewhat equal substitute.
So, keeping SL on a partition and/or an external drive is one option if necessary.

  • How do I convert my smart object back into the layers I made it from?

I was working with 100 layers or so and i converted it to a smart object to work with easier.  However some of the layers and layer modes don't interact properly with the background that is separate from the smart object.  There doesn't seem to be an option to release layers within the smart object.  I attempted to solve the problem by dragging the layers from the smart object editable file but it didn't line up within the original file...extremely frustrating.  Any solutions? PS6 BETA Lion OSX

It was created inside the file.  They were differnt dimensions though because the layers selected to become a smart object had different bounds beyond the canvas.
The issue was that once I dragged layers from the editable file that was the smart object I would attempt to realign them BUT I have so many adjustments with masks that we'ren't linked so they wouldn't move with my realignment move(even a control+t)...I ended up going back in and relinking them all(which took really long) in order to realign things.
But really it would be so much easier if i could have just clicked re-add layers to file or something.
    No problem Howard, thanks anyway.

  • How do you convert a single audio file into multiple tracks?

Ive got a cassette tape that I captured. Now I want that single file to be chopped up into multiple tracks.
from there, can we burn to cd with the multi tracks? or do we need another cd burner program?
also the only way Ive been able to get rid of big pops is highlight them and cut them out. the automated processes have not been able to do this for me.
is there a procedure somewhere for this that I can follow?
    thanks for your assistance.
    best, M/

    Jimi
this is exactly what I did with a previous cd. I thought it seemed like the long way round.
was hoping for a more automated solution.
when I came from XP land, I used to use Premiere Pro 2.0 and there was a Pro editing software that came with the Premiere suite, I forgot what it was called, but it did that automatically after adding markers and it was way better at eliminating clicks and pops.
there was a view you could use where you could see the annoying noises by looking at it using several differnt views (like looking at an infared image).
definetly had its advantages but I could not keep XP running. I got errors, blue screens, viruses, spywares, costs lots of money to fix an lots of downtime.
so far the mac as worked without any major glitches (touching wood)
    best, M/

  • How can I convert the ringtone (m4r file) I made into an mp3 file on itunes?

How can I convert the ringtone (m4r file) that I made into an mp3 file on iTunes? I want to put it on a CD, but I can't figure out how to convert it. I didn't buy it, I made it by converting a YouTube video into an mp3 (I wanted to get the little song in the video for a ringtone.) I'm not sure what to do.

    Hello ed2345,
Thanks for the help, but this is not the problem.
It's hard to describe the problem, but I'll try it again, this time with pictures.
I was left with the following folders in the iTunes Downloads folder.
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb3
These TMP Folders have a download.m4a and a Info.plist file.
After moving the audio files in iTunes a bit I get this.
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb2
As you can see no other Information for the download.m4a than the length.
That's how the .m4p file looks like
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb1
And this is how the same .m4a file currently looks
    http://www.picfront.org/d/7yb0
Like I said, I could edit all these download.m4a files by myself but that would leave some information out.
Note: Sorry, I hope the links do not spam you with annoying ads. I don't get any but I was told that there can be some annoying one.
